Package arrived in great condition, but packaging was pretty minimal, so any damage to the box will probably yield damage to the product. Instructions were decent, but there were a few steps where simple logic was needed (i.e. axle/tongue step). With only 10 major parts, not too difficult to figure out though. Like some reviewers mentioned here and on other sites, the tailgate fits a bit snug. Had to do some bolt adjustment, but it is much easier to remove the tailgate with weight in the bed. Not a big fan of the dump mechanism, and can see how that might release on bumpy terrain. Quick fix was a nylon webbing strap and clips just to hold the lever in place (see pic). Not the prettiest fix, but at least I know the dump lever will stay in place until I say otherwise. I already am having some issues with locking the dump lever back after it has been released. Maybe just a simple adjustment, but don't think it is locking in place as easy as it did after the first few dumps. Another note on the dump bed... Unless you are dumping marbles on a concrete floor or leaves over a cliff, everything in the bed will just slide out a bit since in dump mode, the tailgate end of the bed is resting on the ground. Yes you can pull forward to assist in dumping, but you are actually dragging the bed against the ground. Uneven terrain, rocks, stumps, etc could cause quite a bit of damage to the trailer. That being said, I still think this was a great purchase and for the cost, it has already moved many full loads of wood chips, fire wood, brush, and tools. Have yet to push any load limits with heaver material, but think erring on the side of caution and common sense will hopefully keep this around for many years to come. Will also have to see how the finish holds up to the elements and everyday use. Just a word of caution and a suggestion to Ohio Steel. The tailgate channel should be one continuous track. It is pretty easy to pop the tailgate out of the track with just a few tabs holding it in place. First time I needed a pry bar to free the gate. Now I insert the gate very carefully. I have yet to do it, but I do like the suggestion of adding a plywood sheet to the bed floor to disperse the load weight and protect the paint a bit. A close second is the bed liner paint, but don't know how that would affect dumping. Will update (if possible) after a few more more challenging tasks are undertaken. P.S. Just note, the 16 c.f. capacity is heaped. The actual volume is I think 14 c.f. For what that is worth.

The rear dump cart gate did not fit. The large size axle were a great addition for hoped for uses. I think there is a flaw in the design that does not allow a stiff enough side wall or floor. I also do not like that each time I might have used the dump option, I would have to lift the heavy back dump gate out and then lift it from the ground to reinstall. I think a swing gate on a braced top back wall on the cart would keep it stable with future uses. I really needed a good dump cart and this purchase and assemble didn’t work. The package was damaged, bolts were missing and the dump option was not usable.

This small trailer was bought for my John Deere S140 - for front and backyard use on our 1 acre property. It is much better than the "poly plastic" trailers - IF you are hauling any stones or gravel or concrete blocks. I used it to haul concrete bags, concrete blocks for a retaining wall in my backyard. It is a "substitute" for a wheelbarrow - and much much easier to use. extremely simple to connect to the tractor - 1 bar pin and a cotter pin. much more rugged - as all steel.

Cart is fine, but the safety pin to hold the 1,000 lb- capacity steel cart to the ATV is thin like a paper clip and folds like a cheap suit. Same pins for the wheels, but the wheels don’t get the torque that the hitch does, so they’re fine.

The product appeared to have been repackaged/returned. It had a lot of tape on the box. Unfortunately, it was missing all of the hardware, screws, etc. I called Ohio Steel and they acted like it happens all the time. I hope to receive the parts in a week. If you can't ensure the product you are shipping includes all the parts, you have a quality/process issue. Other's have reported this same problem. I'm will update my rating once I receive the parts and put it all together. At present, the quality sucks.

I put it together on a saturday morning and the very first thing I tried to do was transfer two 4x4's to my back field. I had the bottom of the 4x4's on the tailgate and after 150-200' the cart bent, lost the tailgate, the wood fell out and the tailgate woudn't go back into the slot desiged for it becasue the cart had bent so much. I returned it the next day and bought a polar dump cart instead. This cart is very poorly desgined and manufactured.

not a bad cart . wicked straight forward asembley... thinking of putting a thin sheet of plywood or something in the bed , same thing one would do with a pickup truck....

Exactly what we were looking for . Had a bit of trouble with assembly because the bolts didn't line up properly . Overall though I would recommend .

Love this! Makes work easy and fun. Easy to assemble

This cart is durable and strong. I did trim the tail gate with a grinder so it would fit better, now it’s easy to remove and reinsert.

Hassles free and easy to assemble, one of the wheels had a crack on the flange, contacted Home Depot and a new wheel was shipped to me within 10 days. It is great for carrying stuffs around the yard. I am satisfied with this product.

It's OK But not the best for the money

Rear sliding tailgate is about 1/2 inch longer than the opening in the cart. I tried to expand the opening but could not get enough opening without major alterations. I called Ohio Steel... they sent a replacement tailgate but in the same size!!. I called again, they said someone would call but no one has so far. Also this cart structure is very weak. The sidewalls have no reinforcement and can easily bend and move. It's really not a very good cart. I think I will return it and buy a better one. Somehow I doubt that I am the only person who bought this cart and had this problem. They must know this is a major flaw that makes the cart unusable.

Nice cart assembly easy with detailed instructions just be sure to check your tire pressure before using to avoid flats when loading the cart. The only problem was the fact that I didn’t get the pin for hitch with clip I was sent a nut and bolt.

Bought this to haul split wood from where the trees were down in the woods. Loaded the cart half way, well under a 1000 lbs and on the second trip the tailgate ripped out. Fifth trip on the trail the tongue flexed and buckled at the cart. Blue Lock Tighted the bolts and half worked there way loose due to flexing. Wheel bushings are plastic and shear pins hold the wheels on. If your hauling grass and leaves on flat ground this carts fine. Using for real work destroys it and shows all its flaws. Had to reinforce and rebuild.

This is a heavy duty trailer! I have worn out two so far this year so I had to get one that was built to handle larger loads. I have only had it a short time (purchased in October), so I will have to see if it will last. So far though, this one does the job!

Well built cart arrived in a clean undamaged box on a pallet. Assembly went well despite minor damage to the large side and bottom pieces. A bent flange and one torn hole did not affect the final assembly. Nice strong cart that will last years.

The trailer was as described and assemble was not to bad other than there were no instruction included. I was able to download and print assemble online.

size great. door hard to fit

We have found this to be an exceptionally well designed and sturdy product. We used to almost immediately, attached to a "lawn tractor", to gather up leaves on our 1 acre yard and it was a great help. The "dump" feature and removable sides were very useful and made the task much easier. It took a couple of tries to figure out that the "dump" mode was reversed by just lifting the bed back up with a little force. This is a sturdier product and has a greater capacity than most of the comparable "pull behind" carts we looked at. I think it's a good buy and would recommend it for appropriate use.
