Nothing against Home Depot here. Frustrated with the product vendor and whoever is shipping the item. The image advertised is the exact anvil I wanted, but a different version of the anvil arrived. Unfortunately it appears that the vendor has 2x versions of the same Item number w/ the same name and same 9lb size, BUT they are actually different in size and very different in quality. The version that arrived looks to be cheaper made and is significantly lesser quality. This is second time this has occurred. How do I receive the correct Anvil displayed?

I ordered this online and in all of the photos online, it showed the Hardy Hole or Pritchel Hole in this anvil. The anvil I received Did Not have the hole in the anvil and had a shorter top surface. I was looking for an anvil with a hole, and I think they don't have that model any longer.

Has a bumpy surface and will leave a bumpy finish on anything I would use it for. Totally worthless. I thought it had a smooth surface. That's how it appeared in the picture. Very disappointed.

I needed an anvil but did not want something that a blacksmith might use. This one is a perfect size and weight. It fits well right on my workbench and stores easily when not in use.

This is a nice hobby class anvil. It would not stand up to use with heavy blows or reshaping hot steel, but for sheet metal etc it should be fine. Nice flat surface well ground.

Got it for my father as a gift. He loves it.

I was skeptical of a tiny Anvil. I'm a hobbyists with little to no experience, and couldn't afford a standard Anvil. But for benchtop knifework, and dozens of other things it's awesome. I use it all the time. As far as I can tell it's well made and will last. Super happy with it, and wish I'd purchased it sooner.

My fault. I guess i did not read the full description. 9 lb anvil makes no sense.

Does not crack and works really well for getting sludge off my welds! Highly recommend

smooth versatile and great for a small work shop. This is small you will be able to move it with one had but it is still able to deliver the same as its big brother. you are only limited by your imagination and at times individuals cannot think outside of the box.

What you get is not what is pictured - similar, but not the same. What you get has bolt holes instead of bolt slots which makes temp removal a little less convenient. What you get has a small square hole in the top which may be handy. What you get has a much rougher finish than what is pictured.

I haven't had to actually use this anvil yet but even if it performs perfectly, I still give it three stars due to being misaligned during the pour. I've seen better products come out of a 7th grade metal shop class. Anyway, I still feel it is worth the money and at this point believe it will work for the tasks I need it to, ie, locksmithing etc. The other thing I would like to mention is that during the preorder process, Home Depot estimated the shipping time at 1-2 days. It turned out being about 7 so keep that in mind if you need something quickly.

The quality was substandard and I returned it. The overall quality was okay, but the face was only smooth over half its area. The other half was quite rough and, hence, useless. May have been a one-off QC failure, who knows, but as delivered, unacceptable. Hassle-free return.

A great little hobby anvil. It's perfect for 1/4 to 3/8 in blacksmithing material.

This is a small anvil, but portable. It will do the job that I want it to.

It is just as the description says So far the Anvil has held up to some small projects and hard strikes

This was a lot smaller than I thought it would be but it was perfect for what my son was wanting.

The Olmpia 9 # Anvil is a very well made small anvil!

It’s the perfect size for crafting. Not too heavy to move but enough to be stable on my tabletops

This is an ASO (Anvil Shaped Object). Cast iron is horrible when it comes to blacksmithing, they chip and break easily. If you are new to blacksmithing and are looking for an anvil its best to look through scrap or to just find a steel block.
