Was delivered in good order, driver was great. Followed directions and was easy to set up. No broken pavers and they gave you 3 extra just in case. Have used it several times in the last 2 weeks and the family loves it. Haven’t used the cooking grate yet but working on getting it well seasoned.

The firepit kit look nice and was simple enough to assemble. The bulk of the assembly time was spent clearing and leveling the site as well as creating a solid foundation by pounding gravel into the dirt for the blocks to rest on, as recommended in instructions. The actual assembly of the components of the firepit itself took well less 60 minutes. The kit included a 28-oz tube of construction adhesive which was quite sufficient even with liberal application between rows. You will need a large-size caulk gun though. The kit included 3 spare blocks which was a nice touch in case any are defective. Once assembled, the firepit looks very nice (see pictures). My two complaints are: 1) The inner diameter of the 19-block ring is a tad too large for the size of the metal ring. So the ring must be perfectly centered to avoid exposing a gap between the ring and blocks. I ended up placing shims cut from bricks under the lip of the metal ring to keep it precisely centered. 2) The rotating grate mechanism is pretty crude and VERY stiff making it very resistant to being rotated. And the handle is difficult to fasten tight enough so it tends to get loose and twist whenever trying to rotate the grate.

I am very pleased with this fire pit kit. It came with everything to construct the fire pit. It has three rows of stones. There are 19 stones in each coarse. The construction adhesive is provide. You will need a large size caulk gun. The steel ring is truly heavy gauge and the cooking grate is an added bonus. We have had an inaugural fire and look forward to many years of service from this fire pit. I picked up the kit from the store. Be aware that this is a heavy load. Yet it fit nicely in the back of our SUV. It did take several weeks for the order to arrive, but that was not a factor for me. Don't forget to buy crushed paver base or similar stone for under the fire pit. Pea gravel is then placed inside the ring onto the base.

    So worth it
Went up easy and looks amazing! Well built and looming forward to using after cures. Bricks are tumbled, so dont expect them to be cut perfect. Even supplied with extra bricks in case there are damaged or less than appealing bricks. Locally sourced!

Mom and I installed the pit in one hour. I don't think too many homeowners own a large glue gun to accommodate the glue you sent, we purchased glue for our homeowner gun. The pit is beautiful, exactly what we hoped for.

This is an excellent fire pit kit. The instructions are clear about the preparation and install procedure. The stones shipped on a pallet in round configuration, so it was easy to move them fit them again. The grill handle is not quite what is shown in the picture, but works the same. Included paver adhesive tube requires an extra-large caulking gun which I did not have -- would have preferred multiple smaller tubes to better control how much I used. Very happy with the final result!

This is a very nice looking and high quality fire pit. We got it in Bluestone to match our grey patio and the color is nice. I am happy with the quality and the way it looks. The blocks look nice and were easy to assemble. The adhesive takes about 20 minutes to firm up in 70 degree F, which was plenty of time for adjustments as we went. The entire process starting with pouring sand took about 2 hours. The hardware is good quality. Time will tell how well the steel weathers. We plan to purchase a retractable screen dome as a cover as well. When we poured our patio, we planned for a 48" fire pit and left a circle that size for a kit. We selected this kit because we like the way it looks and it is 48". When we actually placed the blocks in our 48" concrete circle the last block didn't fit into the 5" gap remaining. Our options were to cut the last block in each layer to fit, raise the pit higher so the bottom layer wasn't below the concrete, or use 18 instead of 19 blocks for each course and leave a tiny space between each block all the way around to divide the 5" gap evenly between each block. We ended up doing the last option and we're happy with the result. There are 1/8" gaps between each block now, which lets air flow to the fire. The heavy duty steel ring still fits inside the now smaller-diameter fire pit. Lesson Learned: If you plan to put within a concrete circle consider making your concrete circle slightly bigger than 48".

          Fantastic family project
The directions were well written, simple and easy to follow. Having my grandson help made the installation a little longer, but was certainly worth the time. I have plans to install another fire pit for another family member.

          Good Price for Basic Pit
I had to use the $19 Home Depot rental truck to get this bad boy home, but it was worth it. The cooking grate works well (nothing like a steak cooked over an open fire!) and is easy to remove and replace for a good fire. The literature enclosed with the kit described optional equipment you could obtain, but they are not available from Home Depot: spark screen, metal pit cover, stone caps for top of pit. Contacted the manufacturer and they referred me to a local lumber yard that could order those items. Found out I could have ordered everything, pit and all, from the lumber yard and they would have delivered it to me for free!

          happy with this
Built it right over the grass in the back yard. No digging out, leveling the space, etc. Luckily, the level indicates it's dead on. Poured two bags of pea gravel into the center. Used it last year and this year and so far so good. My kit didn't come with any adhesive (the reason for a four instead of five star rating-- guess they forgot to add it in the package) but we don't really need it anyway. The stones stay in place just fine without it. It's right near the hammock which hangs off the tree in my backyard. Fabulous.

          Nice Addition...
We were so excited to get our fire pit that we assembled the stones and ring before opening the boxes to find there was some adhesive to hold the bricks together. Oh well. I put it to the side and will use it if we need to. As of this writing, we haven't used it yet but plan on doing it as soon as the extreme hot weather goes away and we can enjoy being around it. We also bought 6 bags of VIGORO VISTA RED ROCK (.5CU FT) to put inside it. Just made it look awesome.

Double duty fire pit and grill
I replaced an old concrete block fire pit with the Santa Fe Stone fire pit. It arrived complete, and palletized. It had block cement, which I did not use, because I need to remove it in a few years. I also used a 4" sand base in the pit, leveled, and about 3 more inches of sand, then 3" of lava rock in the fire ring. (do not use river rock or pebbles). The location was easy to access, so the truck was able to back up and drop the pallet where I could easily access and move the blocks. I would hate to have to move any distance, as I have an injured arm. But as I built this without assistance, it turned out great! I am a female home improvement enthusiast, so get busy ladies....

          Wonderful Firepit (Some pre-work needed)
I read the PDF instructions on the product's website beforehand and poured a 4" circular concrete pad in preparation for installing this Fire Ring. That was the hardest part as I hand mixed 12 80# bags of concrete to get there! Had the Ring shipped-to-store to bypass the high S&H charge, and just rented the HD truck to get 'er home. Assembly was easy but the instructions were wrong; it takes 19 blocks per course as opposed to the 16 indicated in the printed instructions. I knew from reading the previous reviews I'd need a large caulk gun for the supplied adhesive, and borrowed one from a friend, and everything came together nicely. the cooking grate is QUALITY; very heavy, and have used it twice already. There's nothing like fire grilled steaks and brats! The steel ring insert is also VERY heavy gauge. Plan ahead and this Fire Ring will reward nicely... I'm quite happy with it... I personally benefited from it because it replaced a dead maple tree that I laid my paver patio around years ago. It now sits perfectly where the tree used to be... :)

          Gorgeous. Exceeds our expectations
We purchased this firepit to go on our lower deck. I was skeptical at first buying one online but man this is amazing! Shipping took a week and even came early! It took us 40 minutes to install the fire pit. We put a large congrete slab underneath it and the pit comes together so you just grab a rock and go. It comes with instructions, gloves, and the industrial size glue. We ended up putting rocks around the base and it looks great. All the neighbors are envious and the kids have been having a blast making smores at night!

Product was easy to install after concrete foundation poured.
Product was on pallet and fully assembled. One piece of grate was missing. Called customer service and missing piece arrived in 2 days. Stones fit well around fire ring and was easy to reassemble. Making concrete base was the only hard part. Once that was done the rest was simple and it looks great.

Fire pit is great but you'll need more materials and effort
I would have given this fire pit a 5-star rating if it were not for the installation and additional materials required that are not mentioned in the product description. It is not until your get and read the instructions that you see what is involved. So the fire pit itself is terrific. But the amount of materials needed to install it and the amount of actual time to install it is a different story. After spending this much money and finding out there is even more to do, it is a bit frustrating. You will see in the instructions they inform you that you need a foundation of either stone or concrete, both of which require a significant amount of either material. The stone is supposed to be 6" deep and the concrete 4" and you are making the foundation larger than the pit itself so it could be a bit daunting. I went the way of the concrete option as I had no way of getting the volume of stone and sand needed for that foundation choice. I wound up digging and pouring a ring instead of a full circle foundation as well. I figured this would save me a little effort and materials. It took approx. 8 - 80 lb bags of the crack resistant Quikcrete to poor the ring. I tried to dig the ring to about a 5" depth to allow for the pebbles I used for drainage under the concrete; and then I wound up pouring about a 4" depth of Quikcrete on top of the pebbles I had tamped down prior. You want to ensure your foundation is going to end up as level as possible too before you pour. The concrete ring extends to about 3-4" on the outside of the pit but only about an inch or two on the inside of the pit. This should give you enough room to stack the stones around on top of the ring and have a bit of a concrete edge. The fire pit itself has an outside diameter of 48" and an inside of 31." I suppose you could just build the pit directly on the ground; but you would need a very level part of the yard to do so and it may not be as sturdy ultimately. I just did what was in the instructions, with a little modification (the ring) of course. I dug about a 15" hole in the center of the pit using a post hole digger. This is for drainage; and it is an optional choice I made that is not in the instructions. The drainage hole and the entire center of the pit is then filled with gravel (do not use river rocks or pebbles) up to the top of the first layer of stone once you get the fire pit built. Then you will build your pit. There are 3 layers of 19 stones that you'll want to stagger each layer as you go. You will see. Because I wanted the option of being able to take the fire pit with me should I move, I did not use the stone glue that came with the kit. As it turns out, the fire pit is fairly sturdy on the concrete foundation without it. This was just a choice I made. You may prefer to use it. All told you will need at least eight 80 lb bags of Quikcrete (more if you opt to do a full circle foundation), 6-7 50 lb bags of gravel to fill the drainage hole and center of the fire pit, and about three 50 lb bags of small pebbles for drainage underneath the concrete ring. These items are NOT included with the fire pit; and add an additional 1100 lbs roughly in materials you will be handling and roughly another $150 or so to the cost. The LTL curb side delivery was efficient enough. You just need someone at home to receive the delivery (be sure to inspect it before you sign for it) and to move it up out of the street or off your sidewalk, as they do not bring it to your house or move it for you. It's around 1100 lbs of materials being delivered. The gloves that come with the kit look and seem nice but I actually tore a hole in one before I finished stacking all the stones. The steel ring insert is heavy duty and I think really nice. It's similar to what you would find in a camp ground. The $430 price tag is steep, even though it does come with the grill. It seems you can get the same pit without the grill for nearly $200 less. Isn't that interesting? It's a bit of effort to get the thing to come together but the finished product seems worth it. Now if the weather would be nice enough to get out and have some more fires, that would be great. I'd like to use the thing after all the effort and money I put into it.
