Used it in my back yard. It worked fine, looks good and was able to get the water drained to the front of the house. Liked the fact that you could use different size pipe with it.

I installed the 12 in X 12 in in the yard, and three 9 in X 9 in under the gutters and ran a line...
I installed the 12 in X 12 in in the yard, and three 9 in X 9 in under the gutters and ran a line all the way to the back of my yard. These were just what I needed to remove the water from sitting in my yard.

Bad design, not remotely water tight
The twist connection flanges, plug cap and pipe connection are not water sealed. They leak, a lot. To the point where unless the basin is packed tightly with soil on the exterior more water will be exiting the basin through these leaks than the actual outflow pipe. And since these leak points are lower than the outlet pipe, water will always be leaking through these unless your inflow rate of water is so high that the leaks are over burdened and water actually makes it to the outlet pipe.

If you're looking for a watertight seal, you might try 100% waterproof silicone or a construction adhesive such as Gorilla Glue, Loc-Tite, or Power Grab. Strong and well designed to handle the drainage of my roof from a driving rain. Installation was a "snapped" as all the parts fit properly and easily with a simple turn to click into place. Strong enough to handle foot traffic and a full wheel barrel.

Picture is wrong. Have to buy extra pieces
The picture is not what you get. It says it accepts 3” and 4” Schedule 40 pipe, but you’re not provided the connector in the picture. Instead you’re given adapters for corrugated. What’s worse is I called NDS and they’re claiming the adapter provided can be used with Schedule 40. If that’s the case why does NDS sell “NDS 1243 Outlet Adapter”? I didn’t realize this until after putting it all together with silicone caulk. Now I have to redo the basin. Thanks alot NDS

Thanks for letting us know. The outlet adapters that come in the kit connect to 3 in. & 4 in. S&D pipe, single-wall corrugated pipe, triple-wall pipe, and DWV/Sch. 40 pipe. If you received an outlet adapter that is not connecting to Sch. 40, please call us at (888) 825-4716 so we can make it right. The kit bundles the components for convenience, and the components are also sold separately.

The outlet sits way above the floor of the inlet....
The outlet sits way above the floor of the inlet. This may be good for collecting sediment but it means the basin will hold water for an extended term, and that means mosquitoes.

Really good at what it does. With only a slight incline into our drainage system it functions extremely well even during a heavy downpour. Drilled plenty of holes in the base, I placed over a base of gravel and sloped the surrounding terrain towards the drain.
