the fire table works great. only issue is that there is already rust on all 4 legs after only a month use with a cover on

The fire pit is an exceptional piece! A real compliment to our outdoor living space. The heat is nice (not to hot for a small space) and the tabletop is great during the day for food and drinks! Easy to assemble.

Like it a lot! We bought this to use on our side patio. It's attractive-looking and, after you add the glass stones, it is very sturdy. It puts off a lot of heat for its size, and is a very attractive centerpiece to enjoy a glass of wine or two. If you're looking for a high-end fire table, this probably isn't it, but it's also not a cheap-looking item that you would go to Walmart for. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. And at around $400, this seems like a nice investment. Here are the reasons why I didn't give it a 5-star rating. (1) The engineering just felt a little strange. It's a bit of a pain to assemble, but not overly so. The instructions say part of the assembly is best as a 2-person job. It's true, but I did it alone with the help of a couple of patio chairs to help keep the side/front/back panels in place while putting in the first few assembly screws. Note* You definitely need a long-shafted screwdriver for part of the assembly. 2) Most of the screws went in and tightened perfectly. But a warning: Do Not Over Tighten! I really was not doing so, but a few of the screws easily strip at the very end, and it can be confusing because most of the screws tighten firmly. 3) There was a small paint chip/dent in one of the parts. Because they actually do package this unit well and the box wasn't damaged, I can only assume that the damage happened during manufacturing or packaging in China -- and they sent it through anyway. Not good Q.C. Fortunately, it's not in-your-face visible, so I can live with it. May you have good luck, and enjoy!

I have been dealing on an off with support to my issue of this not staying lit for now over a year.....can't seem to get a live person....I tried the igniter, thermocouple and now they say a regulator. There are no pictures of the parts only numbers....this morning told to order part # FP40-12 and the site says there is no such part number....I feel like I really wasted my money

I actually purchased this fire table 7 1/2 years ago, and I still love it. I originally used the cover for it, but it eventually fell apart. It sits out in the rain, heat, cold, snow - everything and continues to work great. In fact, I haven't used it in several months and went to "fire it up" today, and it lit on the first try with the built in ignitor. I've had no rust problems, the metal lid still fits perfectly (has yet to warp). The only thing I would recommend (depending on where you use it) would be a wind guard.

With covid on the loose, this was a game changer. We were able to gather outside with family and friends safely during the fall and winter. It was a pain to put together but definitely worth the sweat and elbow grease.

Works well; we’ve had no issues. We find it 100% as advertised, and enjoy it often.It’s good-looking and the cover is excellent.

Arrived packaged very well, easy to assemble and I love the black rock, which I didn't think I would, and do yourself a favor and get the Camp Chef cover as well it's a perfect fit and does a great job of protecting it from the rain that we get a lot of here. Kevin Ptld. Ore.

Easy to assemble and works great. The wind guard is not necessary, but a great feature to have. The only poor comment to make is that it is difficult to get the propane tank in and out, but a minor inconvenience only when you need to change it out.

Solid good quality fire pit. Kept us warm outside with blankets and jackets at -1 I wish it was a little lower but it’s a good rectangular shape for sitting around. I’d give it 5 stars but it was pretty difficult to set up. I think it will hold up and last a long time. We get roughly 12 hours of flame with one tank of propane. That’s with a mixture of medium and high setting for the flame. It takes some practice to turn it on but it’s pretty simple.

Had been looking for a long time for just the perfect fire pit. This was the perfect shape and size. Was a good price and went together fast and easy. Loving the simple operation and everyone always makes a comment how nice it looks in my yard. Would for sure recommend to a friend or family but don’t being I want the only one.

The ignition does not work sometimes

A little slimmer than i thought, but i still love it. We had it in the backyard under the gazebo and with the weather changing we have moved it into the garage to keep us warm

Love, love, love this table

i bought this a few weeks ago and love it. the specs are wrong, it does stand 24 inches high and the tank fits underneath. The specs say it is only 15 inches high

Love the Monterey Fire Table. It's nice that it is on wheels so you can move easily. Great for small gatherings and it looks nice too.

My only advise is have 2 people to put it together & to remain calm & take a few breaks throughout the construction because it is not an easy process & at times becomes very frustrating. The instructions are not very clear. But I gave 4 stars because it’s worth it when it’s all done. The fire is beautiful & is very warm & cozy . We live in South Dakota & purchased it in the late fall. It gets COLD at night.

Will not stay lit only on low ? Now i got to take it back ugg and i had to order it any suggestions ?

This fire pit was a challenge to put together because it was hard to get the screws started especially when installing the bottom of the unit. You need a long screw driver to get through the holes in the frame but after everything was installed we had no trouble lighting the unit and enjoyed sitting around and watching the dancing flames.

6 months before breaking, very unhappy with something that costs good money

disappointed that the auto start switch does not function!But it’s all put together now so don’t want to return. Any suggestionsDo I have any recourse?

Bought this for my wife to enjoy the brief winters in Florida. It was very difficult to put together, had to modify the windscreen to make it fit. The starter never worked, so we manually lit it.......now that doesn't work. Great idea but not very well engineered. Its a lot of money for a fail. I would have returned it but the box was to big to keep and it would have been a PIA to pack it all up and send back.

We love this fire pit, but it was a real pain to put together. If you have fingers about as big around as a lead pencil, you'll have no problem with this task. Those of you who are ham-handed, prepare to curse. A LOT. I kept envisioning the guys at Camp Chef laughing uncontrollably as they packed this unit to ship to me. "If this gut weighs over a buck fifty, it'll take him a six pack of craft beer to put this beast together", I could almost hear them say. I can't tell you how many times I dropped one of the 12,438 teeny tiny screws that hold this beautiful contraption together. The tolerances are so close and the screws so small that it is quite maddening to assemble. Here's how bad it was: I had to ask my bride to help reach into the tight places. What man in his right mind does that except one who has reached his limit? Then, on page 23 of the instructions, they tell you to tighten all the screws that they told you not to tighten on page one. There's absolutely no way a human being can reach some of them. Once it was in one piece, semi-tightened up, gassed and fired up, all my frustration went away. What a soothing addition to my screen porch. It's so neat, I can see us running this baby in the summer. Totally worth the aggravation and the ribbing from my wife.

I have not opened it yet, planning on using it this spring. Too much snow in Ohio to use it outside just yet. My daughter has one in Arizona and loves it. I'll let you know how I like it this spring.
