Does NOT stay lit! Very frustrating, have to hurry up and push the igniter in before it goes out again just about every 5 mins - was super annoyed while trying to entertain company on Easter weekend, ended up just starting a fire in fire pit. have to take apart to return annoying since on upper deck

This is a great addition to our back covered porch. Puts out just enough heat for chilly Florida winter evenings. Has flame adjustments-- low, medium and high. It's sturdy and and the gauges are easy to use. I love that it can easily double as a coffee table in the hot summer months by putting on the included topper over the rocks/burner area.

I have been looking for the right fire pit for 2 years now and the Camp Chef is exactly what I've been looking for. It's the perfect rectangle size so doesn't take up too much space yet it takes a full size propane tank. It has a cover when not using the flame. We're very satisfied with this product.

Takes two to assemble, but quite easy to do with just a Phillips head. Nice design that can work as a table when not in use. Throws off good heat and nice to have a full size LP tank that holds a good quantity of gas and can be interchanged with gas grill.

Was pretty easy to assemble, and looks great! Did have a bit of a problem keeping lighted, but that seems to have been solved with use.

This fire table is beautiful! I was looking for a rectangular one that wasn't huge to fit my patio and also stored the tank underneath - this one is perfect! It went together quickly and I like the finish. Had to read other reviews for tricks on lighting it (thanks to all). I would not use the edge of it for drinks, etc. as the flames put out a good amount of heat. Very happy with it!

Pretty easy to assemble; needed better wrench; but the product was well worth it; like being at a 5 star resort.

We had looked for a smaller rectangular fire table for our deck; didn't want anything heavy looking . This one was perfect and the price was good, too. It has a modern, clean look and works great.

Came packaged very well. Assembly is not difficult. Nice touch with the black glass fire stones. I had an issue of it not staying lit for more than a few minutes. Camp Chef was sending out a new thermocouple but I solved the issue by cleaning the paint under the nut that holds the thermo in place. It seems it needs a good ground connection and the paint kept that from happening. So I just scraped a spot to the metal around the hole and put the nut back on. It solved the problem. Now it stays lit. Lighting is like a water heater, you need to keep the knob pushed in for a few seconds till it warms up and then adjust the flame. Also bought the fabric cover and it fits very well. Great looking fire table.

We love this fire pit! Easy to put together - amazing fire pit for the price!

Overall fairly happy, the box showed up covered in some kind of oil so someone wrapped the original box with plain brown cardboard. There were also three areas of the box that were damaged torn and dented. I took several pictures expecting lots of damage but I only found two dents that can not be seen after its assembled. It is very hard to keep lit at first, I have found that if you hold the starter knob in for about a minute it will stay lit. I also wish it had a glass wall around the flame.

This fire pit is a very good value for the money. That said, the assembly is challenging, much more so than it should be. With all do respect, it is not a job for a novice. With a few simple engineering modifications installation would be much quicker. In altering the unit to burn natural gas, as suggested I drilled the orifice to 1/8". In final operation, I still needed to tape the air intake on the burner to produce a partially yellow flame as the burner's air adjustment was much too loose. Also, the optional vinyl cover is a worthy investment to protect from the elements.

Not really worth 500 USD. In comparison you can purchase a nice Weber grill for the same money.

Fire pit works great. There were complaints that the igniter doesn't work but you need to read the directions on how to use it and the igniter works fine. Hint: Ignite the burner and hold the knob in until the thermocouple gets warm (about one minute) and the burner stays lit. As my daddy always said, when all else fails, read the directions.

Initially we had an issue with the starter. We called the manufacture and they sent out a new one right away. I wish they had a glass screen for it.

Packaging: Well packaged. No dents, damage to box or product. Big Styrofoam pieces, plastic packaging to protect product. All parts were enclosed - nothing missing. Installation: Easy to do with two people. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!!! This will make putting it together easier when you understand how it's meant to be built. Product: No dents or scratches. Solid metal product. More glass rocks then I expected which made for a very luxurious fire pit. I wanted a fire pit that would sit between two chaise lounge chairs and keep guests (me included) nice and warm. With 3 settings (I use MED) It puts off the exact amount of heat I was expecting for a breezy night overlooking the bay.

After looking at a number of fire pits, both in stores and on-line, we ordered the Monterey for our small courtyard patio. It is narrower and a little taller than most of the other fire pits we had checked out and although not on wheels, is movable, because of the smaller size. Two other features that appealed to us were the hard cover for the top, which most do not have and also that we could get the all weather cover (similar to a grill cover). The fire pit was extremely well packaged to prevent any shipping damage and was easy for my husband to put together. We love this fire pit and are very happy that we found it at Home Depot!

I was relatively easy to assemble with 2 people. Someone needs to hold the parts together while the other one places the screws. It has a quality appearance. It fits our L-shaped outdoor seating and works as a coffee table when not in use as a firepit. The price was right, easily movable, reasonable amount of heat, and nice appearance. We are glad we bought this product.

The product itself is excellent. Good looking, easy to assemble, and efficient operation. The product did arrive with a very noticeable dent which I was reimbursed for by Home Depot.

I have been looking for a fire table like this for quite some time. Everything else on the market is 4 times this price so I was a little worried about the quality. I saw the previous review about shipping damage and called the manufacturer. They said they have upgraded the packaging to avoid that kind of damage so I ordered it. It arrived in great shape and look fantastic in our back yard. The flame burns well even in wind and puts off enough warmth to sit around on a cool Fall evening. I would recommend this to anyone.

We ended up getting this item for FREE from Home Depot due to Camp Chef's poor packaging and shipping via UPS. Once our package was delivered to the house, I could see the item in the box without even opening the package. The fire pit is made of CHEAP metal that is flimsy and needs to be bent back into shape by a rubber mallet just to align the screw holes. The entire fire pit is held together by 15-20 SCREWS. We would have returned the FREE one if we could! Do not buy this poorly designed and cheaply made fire pit by CAMP CHEF.

We bought this product due to the size as we needed something narrow. It's perfect! The flame burns is very nice. The unit also can be a table when not in use. It took 1/2 hr, to assemble-easy. Very easy to turn on and off.
