The rug pad looks like it will work well, once we can use it. When it arrived it had a strong sour/chemical odor. We have been airing out the pad on our screen porch that has good air circulation as we did not want to smell up our house. After a few weeks of venting, hopefully the odor will be gone and we can try using the pad.

I like the softness of the padding, but one of my thinner rugs keeps sliding out of place which is frustrating.

Purchased this rug pad to use under a thin 8x10 washable rug. The grippy underside stays in place on our hard floors, and the felt top holds the thin rug in place. It gave an inexpensice rug more comfort and substance and works exactly as I had hoped! The size was excellent - I had to trim 2 sides to fit my rug exact (which was easy to do). Shipping to home was faster than expected.

I originally purchased a thin rubberized matt as a pad but when I tried to pull it up, I actually had to use a scraper. I guess you get what you pay for. I am so happy with the Mohawk Dual Surface Rug as a replacement. It keeps the top rug in place and gives a nice cushion feel. I highly recommend this pad. It is totally worth it.

Stay away from this rug pad, smell you can’t rid!
Bought this rug pad to go under an area rug we just purchased & immediately noticed an incredible smell next time we came back into our office space & couldn’t figure out where it was coming from.
It was the rug pad! Don’t listen to the lies where they said they fixed the issue it’s not fixed clearly. Read all the reviews & if it’s happening to me as of April 2024. Where’s the quality control?
I’ll be going to Home Depot to return this & buying another rug pad.

Stinky!
This rug has an unbearable odor! I thought it would air out after a few days, but instead it seems to be getting worse! Right now we have it airing out in the driveway. Our backyard smells now. This is so bad. I do not recommend this product at all.

Had to return this pad to the store because it had a disgusting smell that didn't go away even when aired out for a week on my porch. When I brought it back to HD, the customer service clerks didn't even want it near their desks the smell was so bad. Skip this one. Don't believe the high ratings. Look at the one star reviews.

Stench is horrible
Smell like burnt rubber as soon as we opened the product. It’s been a week and still the stench is horrendous. I don’t know how this received so many good reviews unless most of them are fake. Very disappointed that Home Depot would even carry a product this bad.

The price was good and it feels good under the rug, but as other reviews stated it has a strong odor. It's been several weeks and it still has a strong chemical smell. I'm going to try letting it sit out on the patio for the weekend to air out. If that doesn't help I'll probably return it. Note: I do have a sensitive nose so I can see how it may not bother others.
