Needed to bore out a hole on a boat trailer for mounting new lights. Worked very well.

Absolutely love this bit.. It's a monster and makes beautiful holes in aluminum.

Works well on thin metal, will not work on thicker steel.

On the first use I attempted to enlarge a 1/2 inch hole in 1/8 " cold rolled steel. The drill did not accomplish this task in spite of using some cutting oil. The drill is now dull and not being used. I was very disappointed in the quality of this tool given it's price

Great product, well made. Home Depot let me down with ship next day teally meant next week. This has happened a few times. Very discouraging. Delivery promise not kept, Lost days having to machine a work around reamer to use in place pf the step drill.

I used it to enlarge a hole on my kitchen sink. Good price and it’s a Milwaukee!

I upgraded from an old bit that was completely rounded out, first hole I drilled with this it was like going through butter. Can't speak to longevity, but the first few holes through metal have been a dream, I love having this in my bag

I needed to enlarge 4 holes that were in 1/8” thick mild steel. The holes were 3/8” an I needed them to be 9/16”. Not having a drill press handy I put the piece of metal in a vise and had to use an hand drill. After drilling 2 holes the drill bit was noticeably having a difficult time even with oil. For the third hole the drill bit started over heating. The fourth hole was so difficult to drill that I had to use a rat tail file to finish off the hole. As a retired carpenter I’ve drilled several holes in metal using step bits over the decades. I would not recommend buying this drill bit.

Even when kept cool and lubricanted the bit dulles rather quickly which was not in alignment with its claim to last 4x longer.

Slips out. Doesn’t fit impact drill

Worked perfectly, did all the drilling I needed in record time.

These are barely equal to china freight. Save your money and expectation and buy crap, because $10 crap is the same as this.
