I recently received the Milwaukee 1-7/8 Dozer Carbide Hole Saw…My sons and I do a lot of fiberglass and wood work on boats. We used this particular bit to cut holes in the top cap on a Hewes Bayfisher flats boat we were working on. This holes we cut were to install several new fishing rod holders. The Dozer hole saw blade worked like a dream. It was able to cut through the marine grade plywood laminated with fiberglass material cleanly and efficiently. The clean out slots on the blade are designed for better access and leverage when removing the slug material from the blade after performing your cuts. I will say the T-slot design definitely makes removing plugs in the bit much easier. We have used other less expensive brands of hole saw blades and the Milwaukee Dozer blade quite simply is much better. Please note that this is the hole saw blade only and does not include the drill bit and arbor that fits onto the hole saw. In summary, this is a high quality product that performs very well on a variety of different materials, it provides a better means of removing plugs via the T-slot design and lasts significantly longer than cheaper bi-metal products. If you need a high quality hole saw blade to get you project done, the Milwaukee Dozer Carbide blades are an excellent choice…

This is a traditional hole saw. It works very well, especially new. The concern I always have is longevity, especially if I hit an embedded nail or screw. Like any saw blade, it will immediately dull and slow down. If you are using new wood or are more careful than me, this will do the trick. It is not overly deep so you may have to drill from both sides or make multiple cuts, stopping and breaking out the plug occasionally. This is still a great tool.

Great product. Can never go wrong with Milwaukee tools. This still fits my arbor that I purchased in the 70's. Cut very easily and smoothly on my drill press. It took some time to remove the wood from within the hole saw, but wasn't that time consuming. The metal it's made from is plenty think enough to withstand cutting metal or thick hard wood. Always glad to have Milwaukee tools added to my workshop.

This is perfect!!! I got this hole saw to cut a number of 2.5" holes. This hole saw is a lot easier to use than a forstner (and generates a lot less sawdust) if you're cutting a hole in installed wood. The hole saw is also perfect for a common drill. I used this to make holes for wireless chargers. This will come in handy for installing them in any desk or dresser I want. This saw does not come with an arbor; you need to purchase one separately. The arbors that work with this large of a hole saw have two pegs as well as the center pilot bit. I bought a Milwaukee Quick Change Hole Saw Arbor for it. The piece with the pegs can be loosened and slid forward, fitting into two matching holes in the hole saw. The pegs transfer the drill's power and prevent the hole saw from becoming impossibly tight on the threaded shaft. I am excited to have this in my tool box. I really like the quality and, as most Milwaukee tools last a while, I expect this to be around a long time.

This bit has already cut 24 holes in Box Rails (14Ga) and still cut the demo hole in less than 2 seconds. It threads onto the same arbor as my 1" saw. Note that I did drill pilot holes using another bit......I imagine that the pilot drill in the arbor would be quite dull by now.

Milwaukee Carbide Tipped Hole Dozer is the best quality yet. This Carbide Tipped Dozer Hole Saw is designed to cut thorough extreme materials and do so again and again thanks to sharp carbide teeth set at 4 TPI. I tried the Milwaukee Hole Dozer on some ¾” poplar and as you would expect, it wasn’t much of a challenge. The cut was fast and the hole was reasonably clean. The Dozer Hole Saw has a rather aggressive bite so get a good grip on your drill. Thanks to openings in the side of the Milwaukee Hole Dozer, the plug was easy to extract. I was able to use a different brand of arbor that I already had and it fit the Milwaukee just fine and worked just fine. I’m a DIY’er but am not sure why I didn’t expect that. The interchangeability is a nice touch but I still feel compelled to purchase a Milwaukee arbor. The size of the Milwaukee Hole Dozer is stamped into the side of the hole saw in large numbers that are easy to read.

This Carbide hole saws worked great for me. I used this for a piece of 2x that I needed to drill a hole in for a furniture cover and it worked well. The plug was very easy to remove from the saw afterwards, very easy. There are several windows on the side of the hole saw which make removing the plug a breeze. I only had to push it up from the bottom, see pic below, to remove mine. I used the Milwaukee 3/8" quick change saw arbor with this and this saw fit it perfectly. There was no wobble or play in the movement.

3 inch Dozer Carbide Hole Saw. Assume that the teeth are tipped or made from carbide since the teeth are painted and the carbide is not visible. This hole saw is good for craft work since the cut for both the hole and the plug are pretty smooth. If you're looking for a hole saw that quickly cuts through 2 x 4's , look at the Big Hawg series. Faster drilling but much rougher cut. You need an arbor to use this hole saw (purchased separately). Goes through poplar pretty easily and gives you a 2 13/16" plug. I use these hole saws for craft work, wine holders, kids toys and checker sets. If using this saw on a drill press, make sure the work piece is clamped securely. A lot of torque. Fairly easy to remove plug.

In my profession, I use different sized Hole saws quite a bit, so as for this Milwaukee 4-1/2 Hole saw with carbide teeth, using this was a new experience. First, the teeth, as expected, are sharp, almost razor sharp, so a good strong pair of gloves are essential in handling it. As it is sold that does not include a saw arbor, I was using one of my quick change saw arbors to try this on several pieces of 1 inch or more thick wood from pine and pressured wood to hard wood with excellent results but as with all hole saws, if not cutting absolutely level, it does attempt to `grab` and it is easy to hurt yourself when using a hand drill, especially as this one is 4-1/2 inch. Clamp all pieces securely before attempting to cut it. Next I used it to cut an air vent in my garage aluminum siding and again I was delighted with the result. It only took a few seconds to go through. The final test was on a 3/8 inch steel plate that was anything but flat (see photo) In attempting to cut a hole through, I used a static drill press with a half inch chuck. As with using on wood or aluminum this hole saw is aggressive so again care is required. I clamped down the metal plate and went slow and had oil dripping on the plate. Result? I was very satisfied with the cut but the point that impressed me most is that the teeth show minimal, if any wear at all and remains as sharp as new.

Milwaukee hole saws are great. A while back I bought the 15 piece set and recently added the next 1” size up from the 2.5”. They cut well and are well made in the USA using Global materials. The saw teeth carry a lifetime warranty, which is part of what makes it an excellent value even though but individually, they are a bit on the pricey side, but still reasonably priced. There isn’t much more to say. I can’t remember being disappointed by a Milwaukee product, and these are no exception.

As a contractor for many years, I have used holesaws in countless applications from plumbing to underground utilities to residential construction to metal fabrication. I am never disapointed with the milwaukee product and specifically look for them when purchasing a hole saw. I won't waste my money on no name products. I have used these saws to cut through 1/4" thick red iron, laminated metal and foam building panels, cement lined ductile iron water pipe, as well as the more common wood, plastic, fiberglass and rubber.

Clean cutting in material that previously seemed to melt and gum up the teeth. Love the ease of removing the waste. Impressed with the new design. Pretty impressed in the two days that I have been using it. Performs light years beyond what I had been using. Out with the old and in with the new.

I bought this to install can lights in a ship lap ceiling. It worked well, but it was expensive. Still worth the time savings that it gave me. Make sure you keep it tight on the arbor or you can get serious vibration due to its size. I liked that it bored quickly since I was working overhead, and the blanks were easy to remove after the bore using the wide side holes.

It met my expectations, because it did the job. But if you don't have a drill press or a very heavy duty hand drill and the ability to put your piece of work in a vice, be prepared to take a small beating. This hole saw will "catch" and want to twist your arm off. A small drill will simply not take the punishment if you have multiple holes to drill (I was making a wine rake in red oak and had 15 holes to drill). Worked great in my drill press or when I used my heavy duty hammer drill and vice in non-hammer mode. When I tried to use my regular DeWalt electric (corded) drill, it liked to beat me to death. And I was only drill partial holes.

Great for wiring pass-through in shelving. Bought this to run wires in our new built-in cabinets. This hole saw worked great with my cordless drill to allow me to route the various power and signal wires to the shelves / cabinets below where all the different components sit. The 2" cable sleeves (also bought at HD) fit right in and give a clean appearance on top where the TV sits.
