THIS BIT FITS OUR NEED WELL, WORKS FOR A VERY LONG TIME, WE USE THIS TYPE BIT EVERYDAY.

I used it on a cement block wall. It cut thru the block quickly and smoothly. Good tool to add to your tool box.

i bought one for a job that im currently doing to make 1 3/8 holes so far i made over 30 hole with the same holes saw and pilot bit , on cement block no water needed. i been an electrician for over 15 years , all it takes is a little knowledge of how to use the right tools. highly recommended.

It only drilled one side of a hollow cinder block. Took 2 hole saws to do one hole through.

I didn't use this one I had such bad luck with the 2 - 2 1/2" ones I had also bought that I didn't open this one and hope to return it .

This bit cut through almost 8 in of gunite total between my main pool area and the spa until I hit rebar it still has some life to it but it did its job. Worth the money

Tried bi-metal hole saw to cut hole in stucco. One hole and teeth were gone. Tried this hole saw and worked well. Cut five holes in stucco and can hardly see any wear on carbide teeth. Recommend it for cementitious materials.

If the pilot bit was carbide tipped like the hole saw, I would give this combo a 5. But as soon as I drilled deep enough into the tile I was cutting for the hole saw to bite, the job was done in seconds. It’s a very good, quick working hole saw.

Used it on hammer mode as suggested and it spun on the arbor and won’t unscrew .

I used this with their 3/8 inch arbor (which you will need, this doesn’t come with one) to drill a hole through brick and cinder block for a high efficiency furnace exhaust. Worked perfectly. You’ll need a powerful drill but it does the job. Fits a 2” PVC perfectly. Used hydraulic cement to seal around it. Only used it once so your mileage may vary

Cut Through a 2" water meter lid just fine. Took about 10 minutes. Works better with water. That was not mentioned on the package. That's why only four stars.

Needed holes in a concrete block for a pipe. I used a little water as I drilled, and this quickly made two nice, clean holes. Since I have only drilled the two, I can't speak to how long it will last, but for the price it was worth it just for the two holes (I already had access to the arbor I needed). I didn't want to beat out a hole or use a small bit to make a circle. I have seen this done, and either option makes for an ugly, rough hole. I was installing a 3/4 PVC LB conduit body, and this 1-1/4" hole size made a perfect fit for the fitting part of the conduit body to slide in, with just a little caulk to seal it.

Be aware. This set does not come with the bit holder attachment. If you do not have a compatible bit holder, you will have no means by which to attach and use this saw.

Easy to assemble and use. Performed admirably given the task it was used for. We were boring multiple holes in fire brick for use in a forge. This bit did a great job. We did not utilize the pilot bit and had a hole template made of wood for guiding the hole saw, making multiple holes in each brick. Given the number of holes and bricks we only destroyed 1 of the two bits purchased.

Bought this for drilling through cement/hardie board. Works great and fast

Intended for light duty, shallow holes. Good price, quality fabrication for intended use. Centering bit included. Needs standard hole saw bit mount.

Worked fine once I made a trip to Lowes to get an arbor for it. Too bad the description didn't mention needing to but other parts.

Great price- much better than competition. Worked very well. Only four stars because I can't rate the durability from my experience. I used the bit for one project- to cut through dense laboratory tabletop material (very hard, with sand in it). It cut through 1 inch thickness in about a minute, using only a small cordlless drill, low speed and no coolant. I was enlarging a hole so I couldn't use a pilot bit. I was able to start the cut without a pilot drill bit, by starting with light pressure at an angle to the surface. This was easier than I expected. Once I got it started, I could gradually tilt the saw up to vertical and increase pressure. It was stable and self guided after that.

I haven't used the drill yet to make a hole in a security screen door screen material. I'm sure it will work just dandy. Thanks

I purchased this to make holes in a concrete basement wall to install a port for water line. It fit my standard Ridgid arbor just fine which made it even more economical. It really cut good using a 3/8" cordless drill. The only question lingering in my mind is "why did they put a wood cutting bit in a carbide-grit hole saw?" I changed it to a 1/4" masonry bit which is much more appropriate for material where a carbide grit saw would be needed!

Cuts very well through brick and mortar. Fast and efficient. I ordered online with in-store pickup, which was very convenient too.

Purchased this item because of the name brand and price point. It was a mistake! Needed to make 1 hole In 1 tile. Tried with water to cool first then without. Didnt even get half way through 1 tile after an hour of trying. I returned it and bought the more expensive rigid hole saw. It did the trick in 5 minutes. Worst product dont buy.

I used this to cut through 3 inches on concrete for some conduit. I used water to try and keep it cool. I had to dig out the concrete from the saw so I could get through the concrete.

Got this to make a single hole in porcelain tile. The package shows it is for "Abrasive Materials" with pictures of glass, tile, concrete, etc. The pilot drill is a standard carbide masonry bit. Ok with a hammerdrill, not so great otherwise. Took forever and a day with flush water cooling to make a single hole. Once the pilot hole was done the hole saw begins (also with water cooling). This worked about what I expected for Carbide (not diamond). It takes a while, but does get through the tile. In the end the hole saw does it's work in a very small fraction of the time that the pilot does it's job. Using a hammerdrill with the pilot may have worked better for the pilot hole, but I did not try this for fear of cracking the tile. For porcelain tile drilling the pilot with a diamond tip drill (not as expensive as a diamond 2-1/2" saw and is kept in stock) may also be a reasonable and kinda cost effective way to go.
