Works fine with gate. Only when you tear open the package do you find out you need to order another part for the garage door to work. Home Depot did not stock the other part so will return. Rating for just gate is 5star... for garage door it's a zero star...so I gave the package an average

II purchased a GTO Mighty Mule Automatic Gate Opener with the key chain remote and is one of the best parts of the gate controls. It is very small and has a very good distance of control to open and close the gate from over 150 feel away from the gate receiver\transmitter. I liked it so well I ordered another one for my other vehicle and also a Digital Keypad for granting Code Access. The key chain radio control opener is easy to set up and operate and you are ready to come and go as you please with reliable access controls.
