I'm flabbergasted at the other reviews mentioning security. Using this to secure a Ridgid job box, as other posters noted. These were the recommended locks to go with the box. Box and padlocks purchased new 8/6/19, less than 2 months ago. They are absolute garbage. Anyone can break in. All you need is a drill. Drill out the key tumbler and the lock pops open. I was worried about a couple guys walking off with the box and chained it down. Turns out all you need is a drill to get whatever you want. This was kept in a well-lit area among lots of houses, the burglar could not have made much noise.

Had some reservations about the size and security of these when used to secure the Ridgid 48" Job Site Box, but several positive reviews were enough to get me to try them out. Excellent choice! Once secured with the u-bolts included with the job box, these were easy to access, easy to open, and super-secure when closed with the lid down. DO NOT lose the keys, or you won't be getting your job box open anytime soon! :-) Spend the couple extra $ to buy these, and you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

I bought the lock so I could chain my riding lawn mower and other tools. They didn't cut the lock but they cut the chain the Home Depot employee said I should use so they still stole my engraved bench grinder and extension cords.

Well built and withstands all weather conditions continues to have smooth operation. Also forgot the key and have to cut one of these off and required a lot of effort.
