The shelf looked good and the price was great...however, when we mounted it, it was very loose. We ended up mounting it to another piece of wood (painted black) that we premounted to the wall. After doing that, it looks great.

I bought two of these shelves to mount over the sink on a pass through wall that was serving no other purpose. Ultimately, they looked nice and served their purpose as display shelves, BUT.... Neither were 48" (one was 46.75, the other 47.25); one came with hardware, one did not no drywall anchors either; the keyholes in the back were not level on one of them, etc. For the price I would have to say absolutely DO NOT BUY these. If you are able, for the love of god, just make something similar yourself. I spent more time measuring, remeasuring, removing and re-boring the keyholes in the back than it was worth to pay $50ish per shelf.

Product was easy to install we had the job done in less than a half hour.

I was looking for a shelf that could give me the front facing book look and still have room for little nicknacks. This shelf depth is perfect for that and it has the little ledge. I ordered them online despite the reviews. When they came they were a bit imperfect, some of the seams had small gaps. I put them up anyway because I have a baby and I just don't have time for perfection. I LOVE the way they look and I don't even notice the imperfections. I would totally order them again because it's hard to find this type of shelf, believe me I've looked, they are either too narrow or too deep. I also think the seams could easily be filled.

...product cannot be hung without major modification. Looks like original holes were filled in and back was refinished. The shelves are decent looking, but useless as they are...gonna be returned.

Used this item on the wall behind my new digital piano as a music stand. The stand that attached to the piano was too low. This works great!

It is doing the job but I guess I should haven’t gotten a longer one. It just looks too small and plain.

Small trim piece had come away from larger Small trim piece of wood had come apart from larger but we were able to tack it back in place.

If this product were in the $1.00 discount bargain bin, it would be 50% overpriced. Really cheap...difficult to get tight to the wall.

I am very pleased with this shelf. Ordering something online that you haven't seen in real life is always a gamble so I was very happy to discover that the color was exactly what I needed to match other wood pieces in the room. Altogether, I ordered three of these shelves, all of them 3 feet or more, and none of them had any damage/scratches.

Though he hole to hang was a bit too open to fit the screw provided, I found one hat worked and it looks amazing! Besides the hole problem, it was super easy to install

It suits my purposed perfectly. They are well-constructed and small enough not to distract from whatever you want to put on the shelves. I recommend this product!

The shelf is slightly warped, the piece on top has a gap which requires caulk to look alright, the hanging hole in the back does not hold it securely, regular screws are included but you need drywall screws if your studs aren't centered on the wall, and the whole thing does not fasten to the wall tightly. It tilts forward and looks (and feels) as if it could fall down at any moment. Perhaps my cost analysis was wrong, but I thought for the money I would be getting something sturdier.

Nice shelf, some light damage to the back that was not noticeable once the shelf was mounted. Great medium brown color finish, for those not wanting "espresso" or white.

The wood was really nice, but the drill did not seem that it was sturdy enough to hold a lot of weight — had to return.

I felt the shelf was too narrow, and could not put my items on it. The display picture on line was deceiving on size of shelf.

Product comes with screws intended for installation into drywall with the studs. Product does not come with screws with anchor.

These are terrible. They do not come with the proper hardware and are not sturdy at all. Would not recommend these to anyone.

The mantle is aesthetically pleasing although there were some issues with mounting it. The screws provided were too long for my dry wall so I I'd to purchase shorter ones. Even then I could never get the mantle 100% flush with the wall. I bought support brackets to ensure it wouldn't fall down...
