Durable Tip
These tips provide a very positive and secure fit into most size phillips head screws. They last a long time too. I've only had to replace one in the pack so far.
I started a 2-day project last weekend with some Black and Decker bits that came as part of one of those big combo sets. I've had those bits for a long time without too many problems, but I was destroying the bits on about every other screw. After being fed up, I researched a better bit and came across the Makita. I'm certainly no pro and my drill bit probably skips more often than it should when driving screws, but I was able to finish the entire project, using a whole box of screws, with only one bit. I can barely even tell it's been used. At only $10 for 15 bits I can already tell these are a great value, as it will likely take me years to run through the entire pack. Highly recommended.

Finally found a bit that's at least as good as the original that came with my drill.
I had a feeling that this was a better bit. When I purchased it, there was a security feature to get it off the shelf. It is at least as good of quality, if not better than the bit I got originally with my Ryobi drill.

Good Product
Bought these because they do not break/strip as easy. Just remember to get the attachment for your drill!

A must for every tool box
These last a whole lot longer than the cheaper ones I had before. Or should I say this, because I have not had to reach into the tool box for any more yet. I used it replacing slats on the fence and putting together a raised garden box.

awesome!
these bits are the best ones I have found! I've been building wood furniture in my garage and the last few bits I've had last for 3 screws. I have put several hundred in with one bit. Highly recommended!

Great product- remodel crew loves them
Fantastic product! Personally I think they should stop making the other bits and just make these. That's just my opinion however.

Don't live up to the marketing hype. Average at best. Expect more from Makita
Mixed opinions of these bits. I have used generic, and have used Bosch. These did not live up to the hype. Yes, they are strong, but brittle, if that makes any sense. They do not slowly wear down like other impact bits. They will keep their form. Problem is, they shatter to pieces faster than any bit I have used. So, you have a choice. Slowly wear down a bit until it needs to be changed, or drive a few tough screws until this bit shatters completely. They do not wear down slowly, they are perfect until they explode. I was excited to get a set of these bits, but my excitement was short lived. Where can I get more Bosch bits?

Durable
They live up to the name in durability. I used these bits to drive a bunch of underlayment screws with little to no wear. Very nice bite.
There are some nice little details in the way the bit is machined. If you look at the official product picture closely, you'll see some indents (above the PH2, on the edges). These help secure the bit in place in the holder.
I used these bits with the matching Makita Torsion Magnetic Insert Bit Holder (PN B-35106) and they make for a perfect match.

Excellent bits. Well worth the price.
I cringed at first. Almost a dollar a bit seemed ridiculous. But I've had some bad experiences recently with the 'value pack' bits. Even popular name brands are putting out some really poor quality bits. These... are not poor quality. They're probably the best Phillips bits I've ever owned. After installing around two hundred screws (1" up to 3"), I've yet to change out the first bit. The other three are still in the package. That's what I call quality.

Very Durable, Long-lasting Bits!
I needed new Phillips screw drill bits and decided to try these Makita #2 drill bits. I have always been pleased with Makita products, and these drill bits continue my great impression of Makita. The bits have not sustained any damage in a month's worth of use with all of the Phillips screws I have installed or tightened. I expect that I will not be needing any replacements for years to come! These seem to be that durable. I expect you will have years of service from these bits as well! I highly recommend them.
