Watch for SIZE differences between batches. There are several reviews pointing out the differences in color between batches but I didn't see the sizing mentioned. I needed a lot of tile and knew I would have a lot of waste so I nearly cleared out 3 stores and after a trial and error trying to keep them on the sheets I decided to install them individually and mix batches so the color variation would be more of a mixed style kind of thing. After working on it for days, it's really slow going with this tile when you are new to tiling, your counters aren't level, you have two different heights (9" and 18"), and you finally figure out that part of the reason the spacing is so difficult is that the tiles are actually slightly different size. I finally measured with a caliper for this review and the difference from one batch to another ranged from about 1/16" at the point to a little over 1/32" at the widest part of the tile. That sounds like a small difference but believe me it matters. A 1/16" difference starts a skew that sort of "cascades" across your placement and if you throw in another tile with a size difference it gets all kinds of jacked up. I understand the color differences but these size differences are truly unacceptable. If there is going to be that much variation they need batch labels that are easy for the customer to see. On the bright side, after working on this for far too many hours I think the final install will be beautiful. Definitely not a great choice for a first time tile backsplash installation. I'm at about 40 hours for maybe 25 - 30 sq ft. Had to rip off my first section and every line needs different cuts top to bottom thanks to those odd sized tiles and my uneven counters.

We did end up using this tile as the decorative area above our stove, but I would caution about making sure you get tile from the same lot number. When I was first deciding on tile, I got one package. Took it home and decided I loved it, particularly because the tiles were a brownish-gray color. Went back to get more for the install, and they were all a true gray color - no brownish tint at all. Looked at several stores, and they were all just gray. I returned the first package and went with the true gray, but something to be aware of when purchasing at two different times.

It took me months of trying to decide on my backsplash only to come back to this particular style, which I love. Over the holiday break I finally put up the Dove Gray Arabesque tile and absolutely love it! I highly recommend this tile. It took me 2 days to install it. Due to my particular project, there was a lot of cutting so it's important to use a good recommended saw. We didn't use the water feature on our saw. It definitely needs to be cut in a well ventilated space due to the ceramic dust.

Love it! I removed it from the mesh to have larger grout lines.

First tile project, came out gorgeous. Not gonna lie, this tile is a challenge to work with, but if you have time and attention to detail, the end result is worth the effort. I read somewhere that you should buy 20% extra for breakage, and that was spot on. And you will break plenty of tiles, but it is not so bad as one of the reviewers makes it out to be. Just be sure to rent a good tile saw with a sliding rail (not the rinky-dink saw where you have to manually guide each tile by hand). Also, inspect the sheets in-store, because some are more evenly spaced than others (you can cut some of the uneven sheets into individual tiles to use for edge pieces)

Good: quality of porcelain was strong and glaze was very good. Bad: Inconsistent size from tile to tile makes it difficult to keep uniform grout line/spacing. To make it worse, the tiles are mounted irregularly on most sheets. Had to remove many tiles from sheets and install individually. 50 SF backsplash took me 7 hours and still less than perfect. Beautiful tile, could be so much better.

Originally we purchased this tile for us to install on our kitchen backsplash. Hubby and I are pretty handy, and we had purchased a tile saw specifically for this project, with a better blade from the store. Unfortunately, we were not able to successfully cut 1 tile without half of it shattering. Thinking it must be user error, we brought in a contractor who specializes in tiling to give us a quote on the project. He decided to take a couple tiles with him to make certain he wouldn't have the same problem we did. He was fairly confident with his experience and professional grade saw/blades he wouldn't have any trouble. However, that was not the case. He cut several tiles, including 1 that had acclimated to indoor temperatures with room temperature water in his wet saw, with the same result we did. One half of the tile kept shattering, almost exactly in the same area/pattern. Now, maybe it had something to do with the crackle glaze, and maybe it was simply a defective batch, but I was not willing to loose half of my tile while trying to cut it (and with this pattern you will need to do lots of cuts). Needless to say, we are going to try and return all the tile we purchased today. Hopefully that goes better than our experience with the actual product.

Had a customer get these for a 30 foot long backsplash with 10 outlets. Very time-consuming to install and I build tile showers every day but well worth the effort. The result was so nice that I actually bought some for my own house. Amazing tile just make sure you hire professional or really take your time when putting them in. They’re worth the time or the money either way The end result is priceless

Loved how this turned out. We rented a wetsaw from HD and were able to install this tile for our backsplash in 2days.

This tile is GORGEOUS,,, it is the finishing touch on my kitchen remodel!!! I looked at a million tile stores for something like this and nothing compared to this AND it was way cheaper than the others. Just make sure to check the tile when you get it because we had several broken sheets,, but Home Depot corrected it quickly.

The tile is beautiful and really makes my small bathroom elegant and spa like. The shape and crackle finish make it look old world and paired with the matching subway tiles and modern fixtures it is the best of both worlds. I can't comment on ease of installation, because we had someone else do it. I do know that it needs a higher waste allowance due to the more complex cutting. I couldn't be happier.

I got a quote for a very similar large white arabasque backsplash at a local tile store for over twice as much. My handyman said it wasn't the easiest to install due to the shape, but it's done and looks fantastic. It was delivered promptly to my door, despite the "curbside delivery." Great quality and value! I combined the Dove Gray Arabesque and the Antique White Arabesque tiles to create a backsplash in a coffee area we just added to our kitchen remodel. We used an Alabaster grout and I just love the results so much! The tiles are very heavy and sturdy. The Dove Gray tiles have a crackled appearance which is really subtle but super cool. My cabinets are an antique white with a gray glaze so these tiles were a perfect match. My husband has a cheap tile cutter that he used when necessary, and my 19 year old son installed the tile with no problems at all. I was close to purchasing a very similar tile from a tile design store, but it was just outrageously expensive! The quality of these is no different and I actually am happier with the appearance. I highly recommend these beautiful tiles!

The tile is very pretty and sturdy. Our only issue was that it wasn't very securely glued to the mesh so tiles would detach when cutting. That meant that many of the tiles had to be installed one by one instead of being able to attach an entire sheet. Now that it's installed, we're very happy with the final look and feel.

The design was perfect for my kitchen backsplash. It looks so nice and clean. We used the Delorean Gray for grout and the shape of the tiles shows nicely without being too stark.

Looks Beautiful in my kitchen! The tile has a crackle look to it that’s not always shown on line and the description does not say it. That was my only concern but I do like it.

This tile that we bought for our walk in shower walls is absolutely beautiful! The pieces are larger which is perfect for shower walls! Because of the intricate pattern it’s was important to us that our tile guy had time to think through the installation and properly plan it out! in order to make sure that the pattern repeated correctly! Cut easily and didn’t chip!

We were happy with the arabesque tiles. The only trouble we experienced was that we were unable to match the tile with the same brand and color of pencil lining. The die lots so drastically different that we had to opt for a different solution. We tried 3 times and all clashed with the tile.

Totally different color than sample ordered. More of a solid gray than the sample. Outside shading varies from some to none. Tile is not evenly spaced on web backing. Tile being installed by a professional, hopeful he can evenly space them. Will be a costly and time consuming job.

While it was a challenge to put up in small areas, it is beautiful!

Our local Home Depot did not have product in stock. Upon ordering a sample we were only give on tile. Yes color of tile was in question but the spacing on mesh i had questions about due to other reviews. The display from Home Depot was completely different from what we received. The mesh sheets had a bigger grout line. which was fine but i wish it was displayed more accurately. Upon installation i realized how imperfect the tiles were set. I was having to remove an average of three tiles per sheet to match correct spacing. And not every tile is made the same which made it hard for placement. I would honestly look into getting something else if your looking to install this brand of arabesque tile.
