Very easy to cut and install. I will probably use more of it for another project. Looks great.

I would give 5 stars with the exception of the color wasn't quite what I expected, easy to use and install, I guess the color has grown on me some.

My wife and I were looking to spruce up our family room and we came across this product in Home Depot. The multitiude of colors within each tile were absolutely beautuiful. I read a couple of reviews how this product was horrible after I purchased about 60 square feet of the product. So I had a little concern. One review said that it came off the wall the next morning. So I placed my first tile on the wall as per the instructions by spraying a little soapy water and spreading with a sponge. This was to give a little working time to set the tile. Well, I placed it on the wall and it just did not stick. I was horrified, was this guy's review spot on? Eventually after about 7 minutes, the tile stuck. Way too much working time for me. So i started to just peel and stick very carefully place the tile. I didn't have 7 minutes to place each individual tile. I preferred the peel and stick method. I had misplaced one tile by accident and it was tough as heck to remove it within 30 seconds of applying it. So if you have a steady hand, in my opinion, bypassing the spraying step is the way to go. As for cutting the tile, the wet saw is the way to do it. Also, I would dry fit each piece before peeling the backing only because there were some very slight variation in heights on some of the pieces. That slight variation, in some cases as little as 1/8 of an inch can throw off level. All in all, I highly recommend this product. I like how this one day project made such an impact to the overall ambiance of the room.

This product worked very nicely to finish a wall behind my pellet stove. One caution to note is that when I ordered this I ordered 3 pallets and it all came stacked on one pallet. Since the product is basically small thin rocks glued together it is fairly fragile, this led to many of the stone panels at the bottom of the stack to be broken and not usable. Thankfully I had ordered extra to ensure I had enough to finish. As far as the look of the finished product, it looks great. It went up fast and was easy to cut with my wet saw. Overall I am very satisfied and would buy this again.

Love the over all look, however when making knotch or rip cuts some of the epoxied tiles fell apar .

Looks great and easy to install. Used a wet saw to cut the rock and with the sealer it brings out the colors of the rock

We have previously worked with another brand of stacked slate and loved the results. This time around it was a larger project and would have been way too expensive using the other product. This brand was half the cost so that was a plus! I did notice that some of the manufacturer cuts were a little off and not as consistent as the previous product we used but it was still easy to work with and looks fantastic!

Right now I would have to say Good. Men delivered it on a pallet and bottom five boxes were smooshed on a slant. Just sorry didn't take picture of it while it was still on palle,t for proof. That aside, I am still waiting to have it installed (next week), so I will know how I really like it. I did open one box and was very happy with it, looked very very nice and am excited to get it on the wall.Out of the 20 boxes ordered, I would say 18 of them were in excellent shape. I know one of them has some shattered pieces because as I was moving boxes, some little pieces actually fell out. Another box I think also has some broken pieces as I could hear some loose some inside as I lifted box. Will contact store after installer gets here.

I really like this product and Home Depo was far cheaper then the local building material stores. It's a massive improvement over the painted block fireplace face that was built back in the 60's. It had to be ordered but in less then a week it was at the Misson HD. I highly recommend this slate ledger material.

I was looking online at homedepot.com for thin set to get ready to reface this huge fireplace and I came across this stone. It was almost triple the price at one supplier and over four times as much at another local supply house. They called it California Gold and HD called it Natural Earth so I called MSI (The Manufacture) and they said it was all the same material with different names. The material is beautiful and fairly easy to install other then all the cuts but that is with all stone. Because it is slate is has a tendency to flake but that's the nature of slate. Once it's installed and sealed it seems stable and beautiful. The difference between this fireplace as it was in 8 x 4 x 16 block painted gloss white and this slate is dramatic. It went from ugly and cheap looking to awesome and expensive looking. It was a lot of work since it was a free standing fireplace and had four sides but well worth the effort.

First time using stone and absolutely loved how this project turned out. Very easy to use and only had a few broken pieces to discard . Highly recommend using the sealer/enhancer when finished .

I like these ledger panels. The colors really showed up after I sealed them. These cut very easily with a wet saw. They should last for years. I've gotten a lot of compliments already and I'm only 90 percent done. I'm very happy how my project is turning out. Thanks for an awesome product!

Use a level to start. Have a good, small wet saw. Seal when done. Gloss or matte. I used glossy. I filled any gaps with Natural gray unsanded grout before sealing and it looked seamless! I did not wet the back of tile just went slow

This is just a great product. The look is absolutely fantastic, it was very easy to work with. I purchased an inexpensive tile saw to cut the stone with and that worked fine, as there is minimal cutting (at walls edges in my case as I did not wrap around corners). Looks fantastic!

Very nice product. Thicker than I expected, but very nice. Must have a wet saw to cut the pieces thought. Other than that, it was very easy to work with.

This is a great good looking product and was fairly easy to install. It cut very nicely on my 7" tile saw with a standard diamond blade. I used Prolite thinset, which unfortunately is white on a black stone, but cleaned up easily enough. The stone is cut remarkably well from the factory, and is very forgiving when laying it up on the wall. The end result was very striking as we used it as a focal point around the fireplace, mantel and TV. The only drawback is that is not carried in the local stores, and comes only as a 10 box pallet with 6 pieces to the box. The price point is well below a similar product carried at the tile store. Shipping to the store was surprisingly quick and was there well ahead of the estimated delivery date. I would recommend this product.

What a beautiful stone once you seal with a wet seal! You will absolutely love the look!

Never left a review, but this product is outrages. The real rating is -5. Tiles started to fall down in the middle of the night, 6 hours after the installation was completed. Wall was properly prepared, all instructions were followed. Had to peel off the rest of the tiles at 3:30 am before my new hardwood floors were completely destroyed. Spent $600 and 12hours of time, as a result get a pile of garbage and floor to repair. See pictures. Absolute disaster. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this tiles.

Product looks great. Installation is very easy and cuts easily with a tile saw.

Perfect for certain applications. This is not a super high end product but does look well with rustic features. Figure roughly 20-30% waste as this comes with imperfections (glue on tile and not glued tightly together). It can crack and break as it is natural slate glued together. This is roughly 3/4” thick and varies down to 1/4 in some places. Overall this product worked great for our project as we were going for more of a rustic look rather than a high end. Price point made us pull the trigger on ordering this as compared to the $10.00 a square foot product also available. I would use it again and again.

Wall tile was easy to work with. Fireplace came out exactly as I pictured it. The natural slate tile gave the fireplace elegance.

This was awesome to work with and looks amazing! It was also about $10 less a square foot than our local tile store and much prettier!! Looks amazing around our fireplace!

Just finished my fireplase with this pancil stone ledger. Better then expected. HD at first said i had to purchase a pallet until i spoke with the rigt person and was able to get 3 cases as needed. Very happy with end product.

Very good product and the end result was great. Using these tiles exceeded my expectations of how it would come out. The pieces were very easy to cut and trim to match up nicely. I would recommend using a wet tile saw as this was the only way to get a nice clean cut and trim them nicely. The only issue I had was the consistency of the product. There were a lot of pieces I had to exchange at the store because they were either broken or of poor quality, but I was able to find plenty that matched and were in good condition. Would definitely recommend this product.
