Perfect product for first time kayakers. Easy to manage in the water, light enough to encourage the young ones to "trek" and care for the boat themselves.

We bought this for our 4 year old daughter and it has been perfect. It is stable, so when she leans over the side it doesn't tip over. It self bails, so if water gets in it, it automatically drains out. There's a notch in which she can put her paddle. And it is so easy to use - her second time out on the water she was paddling herself. She'll be able to use it for years to come. The quality for the price is excellent. On top of that, Lifetime has top notch customer service. We will be looking to them for our next kayak purchase as well.

I'm happy I bought this ,although first time used .one of the black bunds (plug thing) fell out and filled with water .how do I get another one to plug it up.

Solid boat my daughter loves it!

This kayak has been my daughter's first venture into the water - it's just right for her rookie abilities, and she caught a peacock bass on Day 1. 5 stars.

We bought this for my son's 8th birthday. It was all he wanted this year. He took it out on the lake once and one of the main back plugs fell out causing the kayak to fill up with water rendering it pretty useless for the day. The one "Lifetime" sticker on the kayak is about to fall off. I called and spoke with a customer service agent and although he was super nice and very apologetic he was also shocked that the company had stickers on the kayaks and not metal signs like they had in the past. If I had to guess, all of the these 5 stars reviews got the older models and not what my poor kiddo has. I would say "you get what you pay for" but it was pretty expensive. They are going to ship an extra plug to our house, but they are back ordered and apparently they don't have extra signs or stickers to give us. My son is pretty disappointed.

This month I purchased this kayak so my 7-year old grandson could join me on some local kayaking trips. With two trips now under our belt, I give Lifetime a big "thumbs up". The kayak is well built, was priced great, delivered quickly, and is a huge hit in our family. I had to call customer service to ask a quick question about the availability of a seat/back and the CS representative, Jonathan, blew me away with his cheerful and helpful attitude. Their customer service exceeded my expectations! Thanks Lifetime!

My kids received these for their birthday!! They love them!! We did have an issue where one of paddles broke the first day using it. I called customer service and they were quick to help us with replacing it under the warranty! This is a great product for the beginners as they caught on easily with how to use them! Now I’m being asked everyday to go out! If your looking for something fun and relaxing to do on the water I’d highly suggest getting one!!

We bought our boys each a wave a couple years ago because they decided that they wanted to spend their summers in the water instead of on the field. We LOVE them!!! They have held up so well with over 100 uses and almost 20 kids using them. They still look brand new!! Way to build such high quality products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son got this for Christmas and we finally had the opportunity to take it out on the water. It was awesome and provided 3 hours of fun for him. He sat, kneeled, and even stood on it. We learned on his own how to get on and off in deep water. This is a wonderful board!! Very sturdy but easy to carry--he's 10 and did it all by himself. As a mom, this kayak is a homerun! The only problem is it left me wanting my own. Thanks lifetime!

We bought an adult size kayak as well and go out almost every weekend to the lake in the summer. I even enjoy using it myself and I am right at the weight limit. It's also very easy to transport because of the size & can withstand tons of abuse. Get one, your kid will love it.
