There is a clear plastic retaining collar that covers the connection point between the handle and the mop head. Pull up on this piece and it will slide out of the way. Then take a hold of the pole in one hand and the mop head in the other and pull straight apart. Here's our video tutorial if you need a visual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N8dPYc8ZA4
