The box these came in clearly said the tealights were...
The box these came in clearly said the tealights were RED, but inside the box they were all WHITE. I didn't return them as I can use them in future, but my plan to use them as stocking stuffers was certainly thwarted.A quality control issue somewhere along the line.

We used these for our church luminaries on Christmas Eve....
We used these for our church luminaries on Christmas Eve. They were perfect, although we did use 2 in each bag. I would highly recommend them. They are a bright white flame.

Thank you for your purchase. Yes, it is very bright non-flickering white, that does provide a lot of light. You're correct, it does not look natural like a flickering amber candle. Many customers purchase this light because of it's brightness. It is a great product that can be reused over and over.

The bases on these tealights are NOT made of red plastic, but rather white ~ the part which looks like a flame is red, and in the dark, this make the base look somewhat red. But the overall look is entirely different from this photo.
