The only maintenance is to make sure the filter at the bottom left is cleaned out and the door constantly left open to prevent mold around the cover washers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer, dryer and refrigerator about 5 years ago and registered them. If you check my imput and complaints over the last three years you will know just how dissatisfied I am with all three products.

Had this machine for less than 1.5 years. It totally broke. When a 47 veteran year tech came out to work on it he was completely baffled and said despite replacing parts. I thing was fixed and there was issues with the internals of the machine. In that, they were from another machine. So when ordering parts they were not the same as the model number (including new motor). LG customer service refused to help more than some resets. I contacted Home Depot and their phone’s automated system redirected me to LG, where yet again they couldn’t help. When the tech reached out to them they were unable to assist him either. Still battling this...

I was sad to see my 10 year old Whirlpool Duet Dryer die as it had done a good job but unfortunately the cost of repairs was nearly the same amount as buying a new dryer. And what do you do? You’re kind of stuck replacing both front-loaders as you want them to match and buying 1 at a time is really not an option. I had checked reviews and prices and ordering from Home Depot was very easy. I really couldn’t ask for much more from the delivery men as they were very courteous and careful with the merchandise and arrived in a torrential downpour when they said they would. They installed it easily and took my old set away. The cycles and options are immense and I particularly like the additional water that can be added where you can actually hear a “Swish” going on. That’s one of my pet peeves with these High Efficiency washers – it just doesn’t seem like enough water is being used and I actually looked into going back to a Top-loader but reviews said the new ones are the same. I have yet to try the steam feature only because the cycle is so long but I have found that if you’re in a hurry the options can be interrupted and changed during the cycle. The speed cycle is good for lightly soiled items and my Whites are coming out great on a regular Cotton Cycle. I don’t know whether it’s my imagination, but my clothes seem to be coming out softer and I think it may be because the fabric softener is dispensed later in the rinse cycle??? I had pedestals on my old Duet set and had gotten used to them. Even though these new ones seem overpriced, they’re definitely a must for me. Not only do they elevate the machines to a nice level for loading and unloading they’re great for storage. They’ll hold most of my laundry products except for the tall bottles and I use the other for cleaning rags, tea towels, etc.. I know these are new but so far I’m pretty happy and I’ve washed and dried everything in the house and am looking for more! haha. Just hate it though when I see them on sale a week after I bought them, but that's my problem.

So I had this unit and the matching gas dryer (see separate review for dryer) installed this past Saturday. I'm on my 5 load of wash and couldn't be happier with my purchase! Over time if anything changes I will update my review. If not this review shall remain. It's beautiful and the installers had no issues putting it in my mobile home. I have a professional contractor run my water lines, gray water line, and gas line last week to convert a hall closet space into my new laundry room. I was very concerned about noise, vibration, having to purchase a side venting kit from LG's distributor. Turned out great! Cycles are quite with minimal vibrating. Honestly I couldn't be happier! The musical tones when the washer and dryer are done is really cute too! So much better than other older units loud harsh buzzer.

I have had the WM2277 HS for 7 years and here is what I found. Features are good and everything works as shown. The problem is that these machines with only moderate use, Fail . The bearings and Spider Shaft wears and the seal leaks. The replacement parts are almost the price of a new one. If you added the labor for installing the parts its not worth it. So, Bad engineering brings down the overhaul savings in water and convenience. Not such a good deal after all. Leaking water valves , ok, front seal leaks ok. But the rest makes this unit ugly. Sorry LG, no more of your products in this household !

I've had this washer (and matching dryer) in Red for about a month now. I bought these to replace a pair of Maytags that were made in 1981. My clothes, towels, etc. have NEVER been as clean as they are with this washer. I've washed every single thing I can wash, in the month I've had this machine! I've washed all my clothes, sheets, towels, curtains, blankets, etc, etc. haha. Yes indeed. Everything is clean now. I'm thrilled at how well this machine cleans. It's very quiet: This machine is very quiet compared to my old washer. I can hear it while the water is added, and I can hear the whizzing noise while it's on the spin cycle. Other than that, I can barely hear anything. The spin cycle: This machine spins so fast and hard that almost all the water is pushed out of whatever you're washing. This means that the dryer has a lot less work to do. This in itself is Fantastic. This washer comes with a new electric wire & plug, new water lines, and a new vent hose. I'd expect that this would & should be the case, based on the price tag of this washer. HD delivered and installed this washer (and dryer) and that went very well. I hope that this machine lasts as long as my old ones, because I love it so far.

I am so happy with this purchase! It is super efficient, quiet and Beautiful. I have had this for roughly 3 weeks and have washed several loads from towels, sheets, blankets, whites, colors and it not only sanitizes but leave your laundry fresh and clean. I seriously smile every time I use it. I purchased the red and couldn't be happier. Doing the laundry doesn't have to be a drag when I see my W&D in the cherry poppin red, it makes me smile but most importantly you won't be unhappy with how wonderful your laundry comes clean!

It has been about 6 weeks now since I have had this washing machine in the home; I have taken this long because I did not want to review too soon. I love this machine! It quietly and thoroughly cleans anything I put inside it, it has many many cleaning cycle options, and is beautiful in appearance. I am very happy I chose the red color!

Been using our NEW LG washer and dryer for 1 month now. Everything works fine so far. Washer is very smooth in the spin cycle while doing towels and even throw rugs. Not used to seeing a washer drum running back and forth. Like the way washer figures out amount of water and soap to use with the weight scale. Another nice feature is, when the machine has an error code, the machine can send the error code to the manufacture using your cell phone for trouble shooting. I wish some of these new computerized cars would do that. The dealer could let you know what needs to be fixed without even seeing it. The future is here.

This washer is HUGE! It takes about half the laundry soap as well and the 'Cold Wash' option is perfect for saving energy. Home Depot came and installed it and took our old one away, very convenient. It's not too bulky so it fits perfectly in my small wash room. It also has a timer to tell you how long until all the cycles are done and it weighs the clothes so you arent wasting water or energy going through an unneeded cycle.

WE looked at washing machines for months comparing everything. But I already knew my wife wanted these super hot red ones...well I did too, just had to save a few more pennies. We brought our LG washer and Dryer from our local Home Depot and they are very amazing. They wash and dry better than I have ever seen so far in my lifetime. So quiet you will think they are broken, "Stealth Mode" for sure! I made sure to test for vibration with different spin cycles, and even it was very quiet and vibration was very little, even with heavy blankets. I have a reason and it was that I built my own cabinet for them to sit on so we did not have to bend over moving wet clothing which is not heavy due to the spin cycle. Home Depot also had a huge part in this project, Need to add the only con, the install was not done by the delivery company due to I build my own stand, I had to do it myself but really how hard it is to attach hoses and a dryer vent, you do not need to work for NASA to do it But check out our picture we shared for all, again thanks to Home Depot for all their help in solving one minor problem, and LG for the quality and coolness.

I first bought the top loading model and returned it for this one. My clothes were not clean with the top loader but this front loading machine really gets my clothes clean. I am so pleased. The salesman at Home Depot was very helpful and really knew the machines he was selling.

Our old washer gave up the ghost and so we decided to spring for these LG red washer and dryers. They are amazing. Easy to use, our clothes are cleaner than I think they have ever been and they even sing to you when they are done. That is my boyfriend's favorite part.

8 years old and my husband has replaced the pump seven times!! Water leaked out front from day one. App NEVER worked! Water out the bottom weekly. Loud as a freight train and rusting where dispenser pushes into machine which began happening after 2 years. I sincerely urge you to NOT PURCHASE AN LG ANYTHING

You asked for a product review on a washer purchased in 2015 -almost 9 years ago. It did not last 10 years which was our expectation when we purchased the machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want long lasting dependable appliances, don't buy LG products. They are designed with planned obsolesce in mind. LG's marketing plan appears to sell you a new, expensive appliance frequently. In order to do that the appliance they sell you must fail shortly after its "warranty" expires and the cost to repair the appliance will not be cheap. the repairs will be such that even a gifted owner will not be able to repair the unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Workhorse machine - lots of useful settings and is actually pretty quiet. We keep this machine constantly running and it’s never let us down. I have recommended this specific machine to several friends who have purchased and are equally impressed and satisfied.

Bought what I thought would be quality and it met every thing I expected!

Now our second machine. Last on only lasted 7 years. Needed to buy same model because of stacking with existing dryer. Machine is noisey as heck. Not happy with brand or function.

Why not 5 stars? Nothing is perfect. To have an expectation of max before starting only defeats the purpose of an honest review. Pro - High Efficiency Ease of Use, quiet Con - If you don't keep up on the routine of cleaning. You will notice! Which is NOT a LG issue, it is an issue for all front loaders
