The jig worked very well. I wish I purchased one sooner. Only thing I don't like is I see some peices of blue plastic when drilling no matter how careful I am. It looks like the larger jigs are metal the whole way where the bit is inserted.

My gymnast daughter requested I make her an over-stretcher that she saw on you-tube which required some 45 degree bracing. While I already had the Kreg K4 jig which is great for connecting table aprons that require connecting 2 pieces at 90 degrees, I decided to get this smaller jig so that I could use pocket holes to neatly connect the 45 degree braces. With a little thought the simpler design made it easier to adapt the jig to my specific project.

I bought this just to experiment with pocket holes. The jig does a fine job but clamping and reclamping to your material is time consuming. The product is fine for a quick pocket hole but I would invest in their jig that has three holes and can be stationed on your work area for larger projects.

Excellent for small projects. I just finished an outside vanity that I built and it was a little cumbersome to position each
hole to be drilled using a hand held vice. For large projects I would suggest the Kreg tool with the clamp.

It's a bit pricey, but it's a much better deal than buying the drill bit by itself and that's what I really needed. The plastic is high density and high quality and won't wear quickly. The hex shank bit broke on me on the Kreg K4 kit, which is why I purchased this. Kreg replaced the bit for free as I explained to them the bit did not see long-term or rough use. I give it 4 stars solely because of the price. There is comfort in knowing these products are designed and built in the USA.

If you need to join particle board or plywood such as in building cabinets, pocket screws are a great option where other joinery is harder to do or produces inferior results. This little kit is a great way to get started at a very modest price and is quite versatile for joining wood from 1/2 inch to 1-1/2 thick in a variety of combinations. In virtually all cases you screw holes are hidden so the end product looks great. There are many videos on YouTube demonstrating things you can make and how to use pocket screw joinery. If you only have one project or two a year this may be the only kit you will want or if you want to evaluate pocket screw joinery before making a bigger investment then this is the way to go. The drill bit can be used with the more expensive guides should you get them later. Even though I have a biscuit joiner I still find places where this works better or where I use the two in conjunction with one another. One other item you should get is a clamp by Kreg to hold the guide in place unless you have something appropriate. Their clamp is made for this job and is quick release like vice grip pliers. Spend a few minutes checking out all the benefits of pocket screw joinery and you will find out why cabinet makers use them as well.

Pretty impressive little product
Just put together a 12' long window seat and did not have this before and used a myriad of L brackets. I saw the infomercial on TV for the big one so i decided i'd give the small one a try. This thing is GREAT! I will be using it on my next project and possibly buying the larger jig.

Great deal at $20
This kit can get you into pocket-hole joinery at a minimal cost, assuming you already own a powerful clamp, such as an Irwin Quick-Grip, which can be used for a multitude of other tasks. If you're doing a production run of 50 or more holes, I'd recommend the $99 kit, with the cam-clamp jig, which will speed things up a lot.

Price is a seller, small but works well
This pocket jig needs to be clamped down well to keep it in place. It makes a nice slot for a screw to join two pieces of wood while hiding the screw. Apron can be adjusted for different depths. Excellent product saves you $$$ compared to more expensive jigs and works well.

Small but Mighty Good
At 1/5 the cost of the regular Kreg Pocket Hole Jig, this works very well. Some previous concerns over the durability of the collar on the drill shaft is really no concern. It holds up very well. There is a fair amount of blue paint chips that come out the wood chip relief hole but that declines with use. It was the first for me to make pocket holes and now I have no trouble using the jig again for future projects.

Handy & Versatile Tool
Very portable, can use it on small pieces, and easy to use. But occasionally I get blue bits of plastic which are small pieces of the tool being drilled out.

works great
This product works great. Make sure you have some good clamps. The price was great compared to the other Kreg products. The more I used it the quicker I got with adjusting the depth of the drill. I would take the drill bit and mark off at each of the different preset depths so you can adjust it quicker. That is one way they could improve this product. The Home Depot in my area could also carry more of the pocket hold plugs.

Better than buying a replacement drill bit!
Purchased this after building quite a few different pieces with the larger pocket hole jig 720 and the drill bit broke after much use. The drill bits are universal between the systems, and for a few dollars more, it gave the option to have a smaller jig as well. I have used the smaller jig a few times, and it works, but it can sift easily. In a pinch it is good, but I prefer the larger setup that holds the boards more securely.

Great 'first' pocket hole jig
I have used this for six woodworking projects now and am considering purchasing an upgraded version. This mini one can be used for all applications, it just takes a little bit longer to setup. I usually use a quick grip clamp and hand pressure to hold it in place before drilling.

Mini Jig - A great little Rig
A great little rig. I fully recommend this unit for any small pocket hole project around the house. I used it to build a 2x6 bench that sits proudly at the front of my house.
