Ok there is no off switch for it so every time you bump the button it beeps . Not the best if you have 2 in 1 circuit breaker's. But on regular circuit breaker it works fine.

Did not meet expectations. Ended up going the old fashion way with plugging in a vacuum cleaner into the outlet to locate the proper breaker.

Where has this tool been all my life? So awesome!

Absolute garbage. On/off button ridiculously sensitive causing it to turn on randomly , took only beeps on one circuit breaker regardless of transmitter location. Total waste of money.

Worked as expected I needed this for a long time

I purchased this for tracking down a GFCI outlet, it works with the power on unlike my last wire tracer. Worth the money.

It's probably not the top of the line circuit finder but it's better than getting shocked! Kidding aside it saves you a lot of time. I found it can give you a couple of beeps on different circuits but better than trial and error!

The tester was spectacular

This is really nice to have when it works, but it can only lacate the correct breaker on about half of the boxes I use it. It will often identify 3 or 4 incorrect breakers and never find the right one. Also, you have to hold the butter for 3 seconds to turn it of, but if the butten gets gently depressed in your tool pouch for 0.01 milliseconds it will turn on and drain the battery.

One of the best diagnostic tools ever. Tried it on several outlets and light fixtures and it worked perfectly every time. The instructions are very simple and clear. Please note that if the instructions are followed correctly this tool is super fast and accurate....however if you just jump in and start using the circuit breaker finder without following the instructions you will get a lot of false positives.

The tester is two parts: 1) A smaller module that plugs into an outlet and gives off an electrical signal. 2) The second is a Larger module used on the electrical panel that senses the signal and beeps when it detects the signal. As I understand it, the larger module is used to touch the circuit breakers in order once and then you repeat the scan in same order (or reverse order works). During the second scan, the sensor remembers the strongest signal it found and beeps only on that breaker. We tested the pair on a panel capable of 20 circuit breakers but it had only 9 breakers that were just 110 volt circuits. It worked quickly on each outlet (of which we had 31 duplex outlets) in the house.The hard part was accessing those plugs that were behind furniture. We found that one circuit breaker was not being used. We think it was an abandoned circuit that went to a heater in a bathroom. That heater was removed during a remodel project. There is a different tester that puts a radio/frequency tone on a wire that can be sensed with a detector. That tester needs the wire disconnected from the circuit breaker. (it is called a "Hummer" tool). I strongly suggest you make a drawing of the house or building and mark the locations of the plugs on the map. Number the circuit breakers. As you do your testing, write the circuit breaker number on the drawing (map) location of the plug The loss of one star on the rating was because I thought the "Add-on" parts that you can by as a kit for about $12 should come with the basic kit, Maybe the manufacturer wanted to keep the basic test of a duplex outlet to be all that a basic consumer needs. I have some standard lighting fixtures that I would like to test to see which circuit breaker supplies that power. You screw the "Add-on" adapter into the light bulb socket and then plug in The Small module into the adapter and do the testing. Unfortunately some LED and some incandescent bulbs have unusual fitting and the "Add-on" parts could be numerous to meet all requirements. Don't know the answer. Other than that it was fine. I really liked the feature that you did not have to remove the Electrical Panel cover do do the testing with this product. There is a warning to not use this tester on a 220 volt circuit.

Found the wrong circuit first time . I was checking the circuit from a serge protector , that may have been the problem , I have not tried again .

Received tool very quickly. I was able to locate correct breaker very easily. Tool worked exactly as described. Would highly recommend this tool to anyone.

This is an excellent tool to have especially when you don't know exactly which breaker to turn off. I my apartment complex this tool saved me a lot of time from walking back and forth to check a light switch or socket.

While I'm pleased the ET3000 shuts off automatically after a few minutes, it's a shame it's so easy to turn on with the slightest bump. Also, the battery door is attached with a screw (which I immediately discarded). So, when it's in my tool box, I have to remove the battery. Packaging is second-rate as it uses highly annoying welded plastic. Yes, the unit works acceptably well for short money, but it's not a good example of Klein's quality.

I purchased this tool to help Label my homes circuit breakers a little better than the electrician's labels. This tool works very well with ceiling fans, light switches, outlets, you name it. I only have one breaker panel with 30 breakers but the device does make it easy to find which breaker controls the item you are working on. I intend on purchasing another device for my sons new large house which has 4 separate panels. One of our main tasks is to replace over 14 ceiling fans, all bathroom powered vents and several light switches and outlets. This device help with circuit identification for safety purposes.

I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE ABOUT 1.5 YRS. AGO. I CAN DEFINITELY SAY THAT THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN SUPER RELIABLE, EASY TO USE, AND WAS INITIALLY AFFORDABLE. I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING, AND AND I FOUND THAT YOU WILL PAY MUCH MORE FOR SIMILAR ITEMS OF MUCH POORER QUALITY. GREAT PURCHASE

The circuit breaker finder works as described. I tried it on both my panels and identified the correct breaker on each panel.
