[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the KCDI075B because it was very similar to the Kitchen Aid Imperial garbage disposal that we bought like 20 years ago and was about ready for the graveyard. I was impressed with the durability of the Imperial garbage disposal almost everything we buy these days is made to break in 2 years. The only negative thing I encountered so far is that the dimensions of the new KCDI075B disposal are not the same as the Imperial model which I had hoped I could just swap it in without having to redesign all the plumbing. The drain pipe holes are around 1.5" different in the vertical and horizontal.

I bought this garbage disposal January 2019. Installed it March 2019. Had it hooked up. It ran. It worked. We don’t put food down the drain. We put not eaten food in the trash. The garbage disposal is mainly for the function of the dishwasher because SOME food particles eventually occur and it will then be ran with water to keep the drain clear after the dishwasher has been ran. I ran it once after the dishwasher ran and that was it. It is getting power. It use to trip the circuit breaker the second time I went to turn it on. No other appliances were running so it wasn’t an over load or ore power trying to be used than supplied. Every time you reset the circuit breaker it would pop it again when you tried. It sounded like something rattled at one point. I think a part was loose inside of it. Nothing foreign was ever dropped into it. I lived alone during it’s use to verify that aspect. Used a tool to see if something was stuck and that was not the case. The reset button on the bottom was also not the case. I think it was a random bad apple amongst the KitchenAids. I have turned to and trusted KitchenAid over the years for fine quality appliances that last, so for this to happen is beyond odd. I have struggled getting anything to drain without back up. The dishwasher drains into the disposal, and since the entire disposal is unresponsive I have to stick a dish washing brush into the disposal and turn it into circles to make the water drain at all. I’ve been doing it for about 18-20 months now to get the drain to drain properly. I am now shopping for a new garbage disposal and don’t know if I should trust this design again. It was over $200 for a 1 time use. It installed easily. The dishwasher plug was fairly easy to remove. The entire thing twists into position. Can’t say I recommend this though. It’s up to you if you buy this. I had high hopes. I liked it the 1 time it worked. It made my kitchen feel whole briefly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this works as it should. We have septic, so we don't put major stuff down the drain but this is trusted to do the job.

This disposal is quiet....and it works. Was disappointed that it looks very similar to the 28 year old KitchenAid disposal it replaced but did not fit the existing drain plumbing.

Got it sooner than estimated and hope to have it installed with new sink next week. wanted a black sink flange and stopper. Kitchen Aid does not have that option available but was able to find other ways to make it happen at Home Depot.

Excellent product BUT only 3-stars because mfg leaves out critical part from the installation hardware that is included. Instructions even state that the CRITICAL electrical wire connector fitting is not included. Required my installer to make a special run to the hardware store, all for the lack of a 10-cent electrical clamp.What kind of confidence does that instill in me as the consumer? Cutting corners on a 10-cent item is not good.

Running quietly and easy installation.

It has only been in service for a couple weeks but so far it is working great, if it last for the five years then I will be really happy with my rating.

Replacing same disposal that lasted 16 yrs.

Recently installed but no issues at this point. Fairly quiet and appears to be well made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Neede a replacement disposer since the one I had started to sound like a mac truck with no muffler. The installation was a snap. This model is as quiet as one could expect a disposl to be. Geed choice indeed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet and powerful, I bought it to replace a 10 year old loud garbage disposal and I'm happy with it. When installing it just don't tighten too much as the ring on top of the sink seems to bend easily.

Replacing my previous garbage disposal was long overdue. I finally found some time on a Saturday where I could make the change, and I installed a new KitchenAid. The disposal is fantastic, making quick work of small bones, fruit rind, and general food scraps. I would recommend it.

1) Ad claimed to have stainless steel grinding internals - however, all internal components were tested and attracted to a magnet. So, either they didn't use stainless steel internals or a very poor grade of stainless steel where corrosion, over time, will still be an issue. 2) Design exactly the same as less expensive insinkerator, so higher price isn't justified just for a brand name. 3) Install went very well. Re-used the power cord from the replaced insinkerator unit that was an exact match for this new unit from Kitchen Aid

The product was defective. It produced a loud rattling noise from the first day it was installed. We will be replacing it with a Sink-Erator brand. Unfortunately we paid a plumber to install it and must now pay the plumber again or reinstall a new disposal ourselves.

Powerful, reasonably quiet, no leaks. What else can one expect from a disposal?

Updated our kitchen with new appliances. My old Kitchenaid waste disposer was still working fine after 10 years but installed this new one and couldn't be happier. Does a great job.

I was replacing a 14 year old GE 1/2 hp disposal with this one. I thought that because I was buying a 3/4 hp that it would be noisier but it was actually more quiet. Disposal extremely efficient and quiet. Love It!

Unit runs well, not obnoxiously loud. Installation went well if you read instructions correctly and use plumbers putty. I am a 61 year old woman and did the job myself!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought KCDS100T thinking that 1-Horsepower may be a bit noisy for but surprising enough it's quite and does a great job cleaning up the mess. I would definitely recommend this disposal.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) New replacement for a Kitchenaid disposal we had installed when the house was built. The original was 16 years old and never had a problem. New unit is very quiet and works very quickly.
