Right size to replace old unit with big base. 10 year battery! The old screws matched the mounting holes.

These are reliable and affordable units and the ordering and shipping process with Home Depot was great.

Detectors came ready to go with batteries (we replaced with new ones) and were easy to install. Tested and they worked. Detectors have a stated lifespan of 10 years. Only question is how they would perform in an actual fire.

I bought 3 of the detectors but only two were functional. I returned the defective one and bought another one as an exact replacement. The replacement was fine. These detectors are inexpensive and very basic,but are effective.in keeping our house safe.

Good little detector for the price

The packaging is quite plain but the product looks decent. I have tested it by a paper fire and it worked. I hope they last as long as promised.

For my specific purposes it is a perfect fit. I will be installing this detector on a sailboat where it needs to be disabled when cooking and removed for the winter. A good old fashioned replaceable battery unit fits the bill.
