A part indispensable to repair glad HD stocked it

It's not obvious to me what part number toilet I have, but under the tank lid is a parts diagram and it says to use gasket part number "1018165-A". According to reviews here (and responses by Kohler reps) this is the new part ("GP1018165-F"). So, I used it and it worked perfectly. Make sure your mating surfaces are clean. Package says "Crafted in USA".

It is just a gasket. Old one, 12 yrs old fell apart and leaked water from the tank. It does not leak with the new gasket.

Stopped the leaks on two toilets between the tank and the bottom of the toilet. Same as the original part.

IT STILL LEAKS. This Kohler gasket system is not the best. I think they should go back to the old system with bolts through the tank.

Just what i needed, easy to find and well priced

Worst product ever. Doesn't fit right. Plumbers can't even get it to work. Kohler sucks.

I came in and described the toilet model for which I needed a gasket. There were several customers and representatives in the aisle, so I could not get by to see what was available. Plus, the old gasket was completely crumbling so it was hard to tell what it looked like. The store representative handed me as gasket and told me it was what I needed. I took it home and guess what? It didn't fit. So, I went back to the store. This time, there weren't a lot of people in the aisle and you can bet I didn't go looking for a representative. I found what I needed, bought it, and drove back home to install it. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET REPRESENTATIVES WHO LISTEN AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT? I am so TIRED of being told that the bolt I needed was imperial . . . when the correct one was metric (my previous visit to Home Depot for a bolt for a pole saw.) Your crew does not care how many trips I have to make to get the right thing . . . they just PRETEND to know what they are talking about and shove the customer out the door with the wrong thing . . . TWO TIMES IN A ROW. Come on, now. I'm a 72-year-old woman and I have a better idea of what is going on than your purported experts. The drylock gasket I ended up with after I managed to get to the gasket display worked well . . . but your representatives waste your customers' time and gas money and no one seems to care.

The gasket worked perfectly. My only concern was I bought 2 of these toilet’s at home depot in the last 2 years, it didn’t look as if they stocked many parts for this brand/style. And they are currently still selling the brand/style. I hope they get more in the future.

It was the right part and fit perfectly

I purchased it thinking it was going to work. When the plumber cam he said it was the wrong part. I returned it to the store.

Kohler part easy to install

The "Replacement Part List" under "Product Details" is a list of Kohler tanks that this gasket supposedly works with. The list includes K-4421. I have K-4421-CA, and this gasket does not work with that tank. If it's just "-CA" tanks that it doesn't work with, make that clear on the website. If this gasket doesn't work with any K-4421, then K-4421 shouldn't be on the list at all. Kohler and Home Depot should work together to make the information clearer, it's not good enough.

Arrived on time. Well packaged and complete. Everything fit properly, went together well and didn’t leak.
