The finish on this drain is is beautiful and I love the color. The drain assembly itself is extremely well made. However, the choices of fixtures with matching finish is limited to only one line of Kohler fixtures and for things like shower door trim and hinges is non-existent.

I regret buying this. After about 6 months of use, the paint came off around the entire edge, and now the paint is coming off of the grill. It is a shiny metal under the finish, and I thought it was a permanent finish being a Kohler product. It is the most expensive piece of junk in my bathroom. Really upset because all my fixtures are high end oil rubbed bronze fixtures. I am going to seek a legal remedy given the cost to have it replaced (entire shower floor and tile have to come out).

I ordered this shower drain for my new shower remodel. For $72, I certainly WAS NOT expecting the "oil rubbed bronze" drain cover to be dark gray/black plastic. The drain itself seemed to be of good quality, but you can't see the drain, it is in the floor!!. The drain cover which you can see looked like cheap plastic. Definitely WOULD NOT recommend this product to anyone. The cover should have been in metal with an oil rubbed bronze finish.

I have purchased this drain in Matte Black, Vibrant Bronze, and Oil Rubbed Bronze. The Matte Black and Vibrant Bronze have excellent finishes, the Oil Rubbed Bronze does not. The finish is painted on, looks like a matte brown, and chips easily. I went with the Vibrant Bronze to go with my Oil Rubbed Bronze fixtures and I am much happier with it.

Very nice drain but be careful the finish will scratch easy. We use Laticrete epoxy grout so it seals it in after install. I recoment seali g the finish.
