Excellent enamel quality and the family likes its design for bathing. The shipping crate needs to be improved because two tubs delivered to HD were damaged which delayed our project (very irritating).

This tub was recommended to me by my sister. I chose it over another model because it has a very level bottom, which is good during showering. It is also deep enough for a good soak but does not have high sides and there is a non-slip surface on the bottom. I am a senior and wanted a practical but good looking tub. The tub would also work well for bathing children. The only negative is that the shape of the top edges, which are very narrow and not flat.

My new Mendota tub is everything I hoped it would be. I love it. I'm tall and I can soak every inch of my body. Love, love, love it! P.S. and it's beautiful too!

heavy and solid

The contractor is working on it today and tomorrow. So far so good.

I am so glad I decided on this tub. It was heavy but aside from that there are no other complains. It's solid, easy to clean and it's there to stay forever!!!

Beautiful but heavy when installing

Tub was very heavy. None of delivery personnel or workers can handle to install on second floor bathroom. Was forced to returned back. Can not say much about quality or else. For those who looking to purchase keep in mind, tub is very heavy.

Great quality tub! Be aware of the weight as moving and installing the tub is quite difficult. If you decide to take it on have three people on hand to move it up any stairs/into truck. I was able to set the tub by leaning it over slowly using a come along wrapped around the feet of the tub opposite the drain and sliding the drain portion of the tub closer to the wall. It was an iterative process but manageable with two people.

The tub was delivered as expected

I had to order this tub twice because the first tub had pits in the surface finish. The second tub has two large 'dimples' in the finish (but at least there was a finish covering the cast iron). Tub manufacturing quality IS NOT Home Depot's problem, but their telephone customer service was quite slow.

When we reonnovated our bathroom we wanted to maintain the quality and design of the original tub without spending a fortune. We saw options in the thousands and then I happened upon this tub. I highly reccomend it for its design, heft, quality, and price. I agree with a previous reviewer that it's not easy to install and does indeed take four people to get up the steps.

Very solid, well made bathtub. Great depth- will be great for soaking in it !

The plumber who installed the tub (it took 4 people to bring into the house and place into its spot) complained the whole time during the installation! But after it was installed, he "fessed up" - this is the best tub for the money, it will last for 30 years, and it is what he had installed in his house. There that is A+ testimony. Cudo's to Home Depot for the ease of purchase and delivery.

Love this tub. Perfect for small bathrooms. Perfect for the person who wants a deeper tub to soak in.

Invested in this cast iron tub due to Kohler reputation and years of service of previous tub we replaced- Gold Kohler tub from the 70's. Deep soaking feature is another plus.

This is a nice tub. The price was fair compared to others we looked at. But there were two errors on the website that made it difficult to order.

Great tub with lots of room. I hate those "skinny" tubs. Weighs alot so you need several people to get it upstairs, make sure you have a dolly!

My parents bought this tub when they redid there bathroom 5 years ago. I always said when I buy my house and redo the bathroom I'm buying this tub. So here I am buying it... The design and depth of this tub are great. Its so deep, I can't wait to take a bath!!!! Plus you can't beat the price for a cast iron.
