We now have 3 of these toilets in our house so only toilet & they are perfect. Also the biscuit color is what we wanted & very few bathroom items come in that shade, so we stick with Kohler products. Toilet also has great flushing power. Got tired of our low volume models since flushing 2 & 3 times to clear anything makes no sense. Love this model!

Overpriced toilet!
The tank lid came stained with light blue marks, we have tried everything to get them off. The bottom of the actual toilet base was cracked in 2 tiny places. Not sure how this flew by inspections, but really annoyed now since it was the priciest of all toilets.
Pros: it flushes well and it is a nice shape

Received completely shattered— twice
We ordered this toilet because of the great reviews and it actually has some style. It also costs about double a normal Kohler toilet. The first arrived with a shattered bowl that looked like someone took a hammer to it. Loaded it up and returned to the store. Ordered another one, delaying the work on our bath remodel a week. The second arrived with the tank lid completely shattered. Loaded it up and returned it to the store, further delaying our remodel a second week.

Impossible to clean
I have 4 of these in my house. All 4 have a dark ring inside the bowl at the water line. I’ve tried every cleaning hack. Do not buy these. They cost too much to throw in the dumpster or I would.

California low-flow works amazingly well!
I was worried about the performance because my version only used 1.28 GPF. I am supremely impressed at how figured out how to get the toilet to do its job with so little water.

Functionality
The toilet performs as described and the vintage look goes so well with our decor and is economical with water. Would give 5 stars except the seat is VERY uncomfortable for those of us with small derrières. I replaced it immediately. Now, all is good.

This toilet is GORGEOUS! The tiered base and tank match the look of our baseboard and the biscuit color. Sure you can get others, but they are plain and boring. This looks like furniture, not simply a toilet. I would like to see Home Depot carry this beautiful design all the time...even though it is sometimes difficult to get in stock. I'm telling you...it's not just a toilet, it enhances the design of your bathroom to a whole 'nother level! Cheers to Kohler. They seem to always wow us, with their creations.

Love It!

Dirty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 of these memoirs toilets one we did our bathroom renovations I am so terminally unhappy with them. If they weren't so expensive I would replace both of them. They are difficult to clean due to the bowl design inside . They always look stained and disgusting .
They do not hold enough water to flush away debris.

Hi, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to hear the water level in the bowl appears to be low. I'm happy to share a few adjustment suggestions to ensure your toilet tank is able to provide adequate cleaning power. The chain connecting to the trip lever should be taut. If there is any slack, it should be tightened to remove the slack. The tank and bowl water level can also be checked. The water level in the tank should be at the water line which is marked on the inside back wall of the tank or on the flush valve. If the water level is too low, it can be increased by turning the threaded rod on the fill valve; flushing each time to monitor the new level and continue doing this until it has reached the water line. The bowl water level should be 6-1/8" down from the rim of the bowl (no seat) to the water. The surface area should measure 11-3/4" x 9-1/2" (298 mm x 241 mm). If the bowl water level is low (which it appears to be from the photos), please check the refill tube inside the tank. It should be connected at both ends connecting the fill valve to the center of the canister valve. If either end is disconnected, it should be pushed back into place. As I have never had to purchase a toilet before (they have already been installed when homes when purchased) I was a bit hesitant about buying one....period. I did my homework, checked all sorts of reviews before I bought anything. I was looking for a middle of the road toilet, price wise, and ran across this one. It consistently reviewed well. A purchase was made and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would definitely recommend it. It looks really nice as well.

I ordered it for delivery to the store. The store contacted me and said it was damaged and they would order me a new one. I really appreciated them just taking care of it and the replacement was provided a week or so later. Easy to install, of course, I had a contractor do it. It works as it supposed to and looks great. Bought a BMS elongated seat and it fits just fine.

We've used this toilet several times in our flips and it looks great in a traditional or contemporary setting. Simple styling and clean lines make it an easy choice for a full or half bath, paired with the Memoirs pedestal sink. My only complaint about the toilet is that the bowl does not fill up enough with water after it's flushed; it only fills to the top of the hole.

This is the second Memoirs Stately toilet I've purchased - this one to replace an adorable 1-piece in the guest bathroom that kept clogging up - it looks great, is at a much more reasonable height for an adult, and is working like a champ... which is the most important thing when considering a toilet.

Very nice toilet. Matches our memoirs shower base perfectly. Small tank. I thought the base was going to be a little longer then my round toilet and may pose a problem fit wise .... but, no problem fit great! Easy to install. No leaks. Has a 2 stage flush ... push handle down quickly and it flushes with less water ... maybe 1/3 of the tank. Push handle down and hold for a second and it flushes using full tank of water. Took away a star because we ordered it online and it came on 2 separate shipments 2 days apart. The shipping manifest was confusing in that it said there was 3 pieces but really was only 2 - the tank and valve came in one box, the base came in another.

If a toilet can be pretty this one is pretty. I wish more water was used per flush but we don't have that option here in California. I did find that if more water is needed just holding the handle down longer works.. At 5"1" it's a little tall for me but that's not the toilets fault.

The first toilet we received had a broken tank and the last 2 replacement tanks we've received have also been broken - in the same place as the first tank. We have a 4th replacement tank on the way. At this point, I cannot recommend this product as it appears to be defective.

Happy wiht this Kohler toilet, which was installed over 1 year ago. Ordered at HomeDepot.com, and had no issues with the process. I like the styling. We replaced the tank lever to match our bronze fixtures. Tip: Measure carefully the distance you have from the wall to the floor bolts and the water hose connector. We had to be re-run the water pipe through the floor because we had a 16 year old Kohler one-piece low boy toilet replaced, which allows for a small margin between the wall and the toilet base.

The flush valve was defective right out of the box and now I have fight the war to get replacement parts from sources other than Home Depot.
Red food coloring was added to the tank and within 3 hours the attached photo was taken. No wonder the owner hears water dripping!

The product is great and very nice looking. It is now the "throne" of the house. The only con is the size. The overall length (front to back) was smaller than expected and stated. While we needed a small toilet (28 3/8") and had to settle on a round tank, the length was smaller than advertised. It measure at 27 1/2. We could have gone up in size another 3/4 inch possibly 1 inch.

If you can can get one that's not broken on the way to the store or your home, then it's a great toilet! I replaced all three toilets in my house with this and it looks great. It was very difficult and time consuming to get done though. One of the toilet tanks arrived cracked and it led to the store reordering the tank multiple times. 3 broken tanks later, I finally got a good one! Kohler and Home Depot need to work on better packaging techniques... If you can stand the possibility of returning it at least a couple times before getting an intact toilet, then I'd definitely recommend the toilet itself!

Originally When I Went to pickup toilet at store it was misplaced so it had to be reordered. When it finally arrived and was unpacked by plumber there was a glazing issue on lower part of base. Since it was against a wall the plumber installed it, only because I didn't want to start all over after waiting two months for the plumber. I am including a picture.
