Solid
This is a solid towel bar, not cheap material. One side is into a stud and the other I used the wall connectors they supplied (because it's not 16 inches wide). We wanted and expected quality from these Kohler products and got it.

Nice towel bar, seems sturdy/heavy duty. Finish does not match Kohler faucet in vibrant brushed nickel. Called Kohler, we were told that all faucets have brass in them making finish have slight tint. Accessories have no brass, thus no tint. We returned accessories and bought other brand that matches
