Bumpy finish.
I just purchased the Kohler Bellwether tub and went to pick it up at Home Depot. The finish was extremely bumpy so I received a refund. After looking at different reviews and comments on varying websites, it seems that this is a common problem on several different Kohler models. Very disappointing. All of my faucets and drain that have been purchased are Kohler but it doesn't seem like a good choice to purchase a Kohler tub.

Hello SBoyer, this is Lisa with Kohler Co. I am sorry to read of your disappointment with the cast iron product that you had purchased. At the proper angle and light source, any cast iron tub apron or vertical surface can look wavy (or not). Lighting will definitely affect how a tub's waviness will appear. The dimmer the lighting, the more the waviness will appear. All vertical walls will have some degree of waviness versus horizontal surfaces. This is due to how the tub/enamel melts in the furnace. Horizontal surfaces melt smooth, while vertical surfaces have gravity pulling the enamel down, during melting. This creates a slightly rippled surface. The tub is fantastic! A significant upgrade from the builder grade acrylic tub and surround the builder installed 22 years ago. Highly recommend Kohler tubs!

Kohler quality is slipping, bad.
There were several manufacture defects. 2 dimples and one large ripple across the tub length. All defects weren't noticeable until after install and lighting was placed above tub. Now they are VERY noticeable. Everything was documented and pictures were sent to Kohler for dispute. They sent out a tech that is going to try and fix the dimples but the wide ripple across the back is not fixable. Unfortunately the tub is already installed and we'd have to replace backer board, plumbing etc.

Beautiful.....However....
The tub itself is beautiful. But the workmanship is awful - it came with at least 3 flaws and Kohler sent a repairman to our house to fix them. We paid over $800 for this. Very sad - it shouldn't be that way.

Cheating on the arrive date
I made the purchase and it showed that it would arrive on 01/13/2023. After I paid using the credit card, it said it would arrive on 01/18/2023. It holds up the city inspection.

returned tub - Dimpled finish, damaged
Returned due to common complaint - dimpled finish and poor quality control - imperfections in glaze, looked like rust chips fell in tub and got glazed over. I was afraid a second tub would look similar so swapped for an acrylic tub instead.

This is a lovely tub, it's beautiful and met all the expectations I had. However, it is HEAVY. I know when you think 300 pounds, it's heavy but this is incredibly heavy. Just be prepared to need a massive amount of help getting it into your house.

Don’t buy Kohler
As a Gc I can tell you that the customer service is getting worse and worse if used to be a standard of quality and now they’re just like any other cheap company so I don’t recommend getting anything from them since their price doesn’t match their quality anymore

The finish on this tub is garbage. It’s wavy and had bubbles on the floor. I looked at three so far and they all have a poor wavy finish. The Kohler tub we put in my dads house ten years ago had a perfect finish. This is. A matter of extremely poor quality control. I can’t believe Kohler is selling any of these tubs. I should have looked more carefully at the reviews.

Bad Quality Control
The porcelain on the tub is bubbly and on the perimeter of the inside of the tub, the black cast iron was showing through. When I called Kohler about it, they suggested I return the tub, which I did.

Great Tub, But Heavy - Be Aware
The cast iron tub finish is great. It was very heavy when picked up from HomeDepot. Even four persons has difficulty lifting, so be aware.
