Happy with the wheelbarrow, but the special order arrived with incomplete steel handles in separate box instead of the correct wooden handles. Customer Service offered a generous credit if I would bring it back and await a replacement, but I didn’t want the hassle so reused the wooden handles from my old wheelbarrow.

Be sure to install 3/8" lock washers
This is a fine wheel barrow. It had no problem handling heavy loads of processed stone as long as I kept it balanced. However, I think that it was assembled improperly. During normal use, many of the nuts vibrated loose. I discovered that I had lost some of the nuts when the wheel barrow tipped over with a load of stone as one of the legs folded. When replacing the lost hardware, I added 3/8" lock washers to every nut and bolt.
This was purchased assembled, so maybe the assembler left off the lock washers, or it did not come with them. I would just make sure that your model has the lock washers. It will save you some trouble, and you will get more use out of your wheelbarrow. You will need about 20 of them.

These things are great. The heavier steel pays off if you are going to mix up concrete or temper up mortar frequently. Jacksons are the industry standard for masonry companies.

I'm very pleased with the Jackson wheelbarrow that I purchased from Home Depot. I originally purchased a wheelbarrow from another store that featured a solid rubber wheel. If you are going to use your wheelbarrow for any heavy hauling, I would not suggest the solid wheel style. It's hard to push in soft soil, and I don't think it would hold up except for lighter load. I returned the one I purchased from another store and I'm glad that I did. The Jackson is a much better wheelbarrow especially if you're going to use it for any serious work.

Bought with a gift card from my daughters for Father's Day.Order came in ahead of schedule and in good condition. All parts were accounted for and good instructions. Looks too be heavy duty, put for the price I would expected hardwood handles ( look to be southern maple)and a foam filled tire.

Bearing was notchy, shaft loosely fit into bearing. When I contacted the manufacturer, they mentioned that the bearing doesn't do anything anyway, so it doesn't need to spin freely.
It is sad that this product has been ruined by Ames.

I like the folded style wheelbarrow for concrete and mortar which is what I primarily use it for. Getting ahold of the wheelbarrow was an expensive headache. I placed home delivery order for wheelbarrow, sakrete, lumber, rebar they charged me $55 extra delivery fee for the wheelbarrow?!?!

Have yet to use wheelbarrow. That is why only a good rating.Assembling myself out of the box.The bolts that go through tray to the carriage assembly are square going into round holes.Really?Called manufacturer and they said when you tighten the nuts the bolt should go flush with the tray and work into the round hole. Not true! I stripped one bolt and none of them is completely flush with tray bottom. They sent me replacement hardware. Will give it another try.Seems like a sturdy wheelbarrow enough.Questionable engineering design on the tray bolts!!!May return unit for refund, still undecided.

Better built than the average mass-produced wheelbarrow by True-temper, but far from perfect. Factory quality control seems to be an issue. Unit arrived with shipping box intact, yet blue paint was scraped off in a number of locations along with rust forming on the bottom of the tub! Uneven gaps in tub construction was not confidence inspiring. Wheel has ball bearings and a zerk fitting, "Yay!" The 4.80/4.00-8 tire is manufactured in China, rated for 300 Lbs maximum and visually does not appear to have the quality I hoped for. Instruction sheet quality varies from useful & clever to painfully inadequate. Thankfully, True-temper/Jackson has a nifty video on YouTube that makes installation a snap. This is a usefully heavy-duty wheelbarrow, just don't set your quality hopes too high.

Nice Wheelbarrow, but not the "Heavy Gauge" I was expecting. In all honesty, I think the steel is about the same gauge as what is in my 1984 Hechinger's stamped wheelbarrow(Probably made by Jackson). For some reason Jackson does not advertise the gauge they use in their different models, even if you contact their customer service. This wheelbarrow requires assembly and Jackson has cost reduced the package by not including any flat washers.....c'mon guys...we're talking pennies here! All pieces are fastened using machine bolts and serrated lock nuts These are not to be tightened up against wood as they only chew it up, only to work themselves loose later. Also when tightened against the lower legs, the legs will walk around and twist as the nut is torqued. I installed flats on all to solve this problem. My 1984 Hechinger's came with Nuts and Washers......Jackson, are you listening.

As another reviewer noted, be sure to get all the pieces. My ship-to-store order had no handles package, a label that read "1 of 2" and I noted the other reviewer's comment about handles, but the HD clerk was adamant the computer, which said 1 box, was right. Eventually the handles were delivered a week later. Assembly was simple, a question caused by ripped instructions quickly answered by Jackson's customer service line.
The wheelbarrow had a few shipping scuffs, and I took another reviewer's advice to sand the handles and varnish for working without gloves/longevity, and it works fine. My only issue is the tire forward of the wheel...at 6'3" I have to slouch a bit to keep it from dragging on any undulating surface, and the paint was worn off on the first day. A wear-able wood block will make it last longer.

When you gotta move it
When you build a wall , driveway, garden or any job that materials need mixing or moving this is wheel barrow to meet the task. This is the best. The steel is heavy gauge and the finish is tough. Good for a lifetime of use.

Seems sturdy enough, though if you're tall, this maybe a bit frustrating to use.
Shipped in two boxes and assembled without too much effort. As some have mentioned, they provided carriage bolts for use in round holes. The only issue I had with that is with two bolts that go through the tray and into the handles. They're holding, but the heads aren't seating and left sticking out a bit, so the shovel catches onto them as you're digging material out of the wheelbarrow. Perhaps a couple of whacks with a hammer will get them to seat further.
Oh, as far as frustrating to use for taller folks. I'm 6' 5" and when I'm pushing the wheel barrow, the front wheel guard sticks out and down so much that it's constantly catching on anything sticking up from the ground.

Seems like good HD wheelbarrow. Have not used it yet.
Assembled fairly easily. AS noted above seems like good quality. I have not used or abused it yet to see how it holds up. Replacing 45 year old wheel barrow that gave me outstanding service. Now completely delapidated mostly from the harsh Florida sun. New unit will stay in the garage.
