I've installed five of these fixed windows in my seasonal lake cottage. They are fantastic windows which provide light and great energy efficiency. Since they are fully vinyl clad, interior and exterior, the windows themselves will require no maintenance other than cleaning! They are easy to install and to finish out.

Window arrived with large break in nailing fin. Had to go with it due to time constraints but it should not have arrived broken.

I'm averaging the window at a 3 star and the Home Depot people a one star. I bought 5 picture windows of various sizes in 2015 to replace older windows that had gone bad. The windows came wrapped in plastic and the Home Depot people packaged them together on a special pallet so I could transport them to my remote homesite in my own pickup. I could not get to the installation until spring of 2016, so I stored them. When I finally unwrapped them and started installing them I noticed some obvious scratches in the coating of 3 of the 5 after I already had 2 of them installed. I surmised from the nature and placement of the scratches that they had to be caused by rough handling at Home Depot from the way they were placed together on the pallet. I used them anyway, figuring curtains and shading minimized noticing them anyway. But, you pay enough for these that they should be perfect. The other issue is one generated by the JeldWen factory itself. I noticed the issue at a later date while looking through my new windows during sunsets. They appeared slightly foggy in square patterns. I cleaned them to no effect. Very close examination revealed that the fog was overspray of the paint they used on the exterior vinyl. We had that rustic red color and you could see millions of tiny spray dots up close with direct sun, wherever they didn't completely mask the window (which was generally a big square area in the middle. It took me a full day with a razor scraper to remove them (was the only way that worked). Other than that they seem warm.

My contractor built a new wall - replacing a 35 year old giant four panel sliding doors with patio doors and 4 of these wonderful windows. We stacked them -two on each side. Excellent quality - LOVE that you can get them in colors. They came packed in individual wooden crates - impressive.

THE PICTURE WINDOW WAS EASY TO INSTALL AND LOOKS GREAT. HOWEVER THE PACKAGING AND SHIPPING DESERVE 20 STARS NEVER HAVE I SEEN SUCH A WRAP JOB INCLUDING A WOODEN FRAME, CARDBOARD BOXES, AND SHRINK WRAP. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO ORDER AGAIN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I custom ordered a Jeldwen V4500 picture window and waited the 2 weeks for it to come in. When the window was pulled out of the stock room I found it to be unprotected except by a single piece of cardboard on the bottom. Upon inspection the windows was broken in the bottom left corner. The window was reordered and I was told it would take 2 weeks again! I GOT A FREAKING SCHEDULE TO KEEP! The company responded that there was nothing they would do to replace it faster and would offer no discount on the product for being late. This costs me time, money, and reputation as a contractor so if you care about those things and getting jobs done quickly for clients then don't order Jeld-Wen windows!
