5 Stars based upon (high) quality to (low) price ratio. I love that it's unfinished & that the design is classic/understated. It won't be mistaken as expensive or expertly crafted but it won't stick out as cheap or garish either.

Beautiful shelf, seams well made for the wood and design, i would recommend this..

The bookcase was missing a piece essential for assembly so I called the number provided in the instructions and they promptly sent the piece. One part of the instructions was a little backward but it came together well and looks great.

Went together easily enough. Finished with an oil based clear gloss poly with no problems. With a clear base it comes out nice and light, like a very loose grained maple.

I like the finished product, but it literally took hours to put together. There were screw holes missing and we had to buy a new drill bit to drill them. very difficult to line up holes and to get the screws in anyway. This product needs some serious quality assurance review.

Well made product. The wood has nice grain, and stains and finishes very nicely. It is just what I was looking for in an inexpensive bookcase.

We had to drill holes for the shelf brackets, otherwise it is perfect!

The product arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged and undamaged when I received it. It will meet the need I had to store two shelves worth of Vinyl record albums. However, it is NOT 36 in. long. It is only 30 in. long across the top shelf. Further, the inside length of the shelves is only 26 in. This is significantly smaller than advertised! The unfinished bookcase is made from latex based wood and as a result does a poor job of absorbing oil based stains. It may be ok if you decide to paint it rather than stain it. Finally, while not difficult to assemble, it is not physically possible to assemble it by following the instructions. This will become obvious to you if you attempt follow the stepwise directions provided with the product.

I was very pleased with the quality of this bookcase.

Great value for the money. It's solid wood and costs less than particle board versions. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is because the assembly was a bit more challenging since not all the holes were drilled correctly. I am a big fan of International Concepts unfinished furniture and will definitely purchase more in the future!

The bookcase was really easy to assemble... which was a good thing because there were no instructions in the box. I can stain or paint it.

It is exactly as described, solid and easy to put together. Good price!

Had trouble getting wood stain to darken enough. Had to stain a second time. But this is just if you want to stain and finish, painting would take at least 2 coats to do right. Easy to assemble and is sturdy enough to be filled with books.

Other than being kind of a pain to assemble (Allen wrench tightening), all the parts were there and this bookcase is solid as a rock. It took sanding, staining, and polyurethaning well and looks beautiful. So I ordered another one!

Good product, good quality, easy to assemble

I was very pleased with this bookcase. Sturdy materials, and easy assembly. I primed and painted it color of my kitchen cabinets and it looks great. I liked the adjustable shelves.

Very nice unit that was easy to assemble. Would recommend for paint finish only though, as the many glue joints were not thoroughly sanded and would not accept stain leaving blemishes all over the cabinet and shelves. Plan on a lot of extra sanding for a stained finish. Overall, a very nice shelf unit that was precision made and fit together well.

Direction pictures left something to be desired. I had to take a couple parts off and flip them over . Over all very good quality. Don't plan on a very light finish. The wood darkens when poly is applied.

easy to assemble. 2 fixed and 2 adjustable shelves give flexibility to customize shelf height to accommodate book sizes. an excellent value for the price. shop around and you will agree.
