This mat is awesome! I put it at the back door and put a heavy duty outdoor mat on top. Now when my 15 lb dog is ready to come in, just one step with her tiny little foot rings the alarm loud and clear! The connection wire is very very long so you could place it pretty much anywhere. If it is too loud, place it in a closet, cabinet, desk drawer to lower the volume. Good for anyone that lives alone too. You can set it to chime or an alarm setting that is very loud. Caution: make sure the bell is i. The off position when you place the battery or be prepared to jump out of your skin! One step on the mat and a would be, up to no good person would be gone in a flash. Comes with a security monitor sticker you can place in your window. Wonderful product. Uses a 9v battery.

Works when it is stepped on. Has a loud chime to alert us. Only reservation is that our pet does not always use it.

Love it! Love it! Love it! I work from home and get involved on the computer & phone. The mat has trained me to jump up and take care of the dogs. They even go on the mat to remind me to fill there water dish. Worth every penny!

This mat works great. I removed the chime (wish they offered a ski without the chine) and wired this to an EcoLink Z-Wave Door/Window sensor which paired with SmartThings. Integrated this into Home Automation to turn on-off lights based upon whether mat contact is closed or open.

Exactly what was described and very useful in helping to puppy train a dog to go to the door when needed.

We installed it as a mat alarm so our dogs don't scratch up the back door. The alarm is loud enough but not overwhelming. It has been rained on and jumped on and still works after 2 months, despite being so inexpensive.

I used the "alarm" feature to deter potential thieves. Easy to hide under a mat. The wire from mat to alarm is pretty long. Self-powered 9V battery makes is easy to put anywhere. About as loud as a fire alarm. Easy to check operation by just switching to "chime" setting on switch. I'll check later if I can update this review with a picture later to show how I installed two of them in a boat using double sided velco tape.

These pressure mats are operated by battery so they can be used anywwhere. In a very short amount of time my 2 dogs were trained to NOT get on furniture or go into certain rooms Now I have them placed outside so I can tell when someone comes to the door, before they even ring the doorbell. Can be used for anything where you need an alarm.

This product works perfectly for what I needed. I put it in front of my elderly mother's bedroom door to alert me at night if she gets up to use the bathroom. I put a rubberized floor mat over top of the alarm mat. It works like a charm.

The alarm is way too loud & rather annoying. I put it under larger, non-slip mat & taped the wire that went from mat to the wall which was only about 6" in distance. The wiring detached from the mat in less than a week of basically only me going In & out As we are not yet open for business. I am returning the mat of course. Do you have anything sturdier?

Our recently-arrived stray puppy doesn't yet know to whine when he wants to go out back to do his business. But he does know to sit at the back door. I can't keep an eye on the door 24/7 but the chime tells me what puppy and I need to know. For me, a great solution at an extremely good price. In the first couple weeks I think I saved the cost of paper towels, mop, pine-sol etc to say nothing of the labor.
