This is a basic kit of the filters you'll need to get started spraying paint with an HVLP kit, or just about enough for a small paint job (e.g., a dresser or set of chairs perhaps). I prefer to buy the cone filters in bulk--three is not going to get you far--but again, it's a good start. I'm never sure how necessary the in-line moisture filter is, but I always use one and I've never had trouble with moisture, e.g., in spraying lacquer, so I think we should just follow the pro recommendations and use it. The in-gun filters (the little plastic thingy) I don't use. They tend to get in the way of more viscous finishes, and I trust that the paper cone filters do their job right. Note that if you do use the little plastic filters, the directions on the packaging for this kit show them inserted in the wrong direction--the little knobby end should go into the gun.

Very simple and easy spray gun filter kit. This kit is just what I needed for my paint gun. It is easy to setup and use, however, you will still need good filtration on your compressed air system for moisture and particulates. Don't only use this kit for your paint gun or you will have bad results. It does make paint filtering easy at the spray gun though and I would recommend using this kit. Depending on the size of your job, you may want to get a couple of these kits.

The Husky Spray Gun Filter Kit for gravity feed spray guns includes an inline air filter, 3-gravity feed push-in filters and 4 cone strainers. The inline air filter has a solvent resistant housing so that it can be used with any paints. The inline air filter greatly reduces paint defects by filtering water, oil, and particulates from compressed air. The #80 mesh gravity filters filter debris from paint and appears to be compatible with most gravity-feed spray guns. The cone strainers are perfect for the first steps in removing impurities from paints and varnishes and help prevent your spray gun from clogging or producing a bad finish. No serious painter should be without these kit items, especially if you are looking for professional results. This kit is made in China.

This seems like a decent kit for those getting started, or painting on a budget. The funnel shaped paint strainers look like a medium mesh size which should be fine for most purposes. The push-in filters install in the bottom of the spray gun paint cup. They fit my Campbell Hausfeld spray gun, and appear to be suitable for DeVilbiss, although I did not try that gun. The inline air filter is made of opaque plastic, so I can't see inside. It should have desiccant beads in it to catch moisture, but there are no plugs to keep moisture out during shipping, and no clear windows to see if the desiccant has changed color (can it still absorb water, or is it saturated?). So, I have to mark the review down a bit because of the questionable inline filter. It's probably OK if you are painting when the outside air is relatively dry.

And debris filter for the gun. These are all consumable but the package is complete and the price is right. I’ve used these will applicatio of Teflon tape threads. No leaks. Nice Cheap insurance for high priced finish materials I recommend it for anyone who is wanting a perfect as peso or finishfor their project. Good value, handy bundle. I know ican run to home depot instead of auto paint supplier for a strainer. Only missing a mixing stick but they have those I the paint Dept.

This Husky Spray Gun Filter Kit contains three types of filters for using your compressor with a spray gun. Four paper strainers for the paint, three strainers for the spray gun, and an inline air filter for the compressor. The inline filter is threaded, I added quick-connect plugs rather than thread it directly onto the hose or the gun. This way I can remove it easily if I am doing something that does not require filtered air, like filling tires. This is an inexpensive way to improve your spraying results.
