I ordered this box online with a store pick-up. So far I am happy with the storage capacity and overall size. There are two reasons i couldn't give it a 5 start rating. First the upper chest was bent a little on the bottom, nothing a scrap piece of wood and a mallet couldn't fix. Second is drawer liners, even though i knew they were not included they should be.

Product was as displayed in store, but arrived with top of upper unit dented from some heavy object having been stacked on top of the shipping carton. I was able to straighten the top because the sheet metal was light, saving me the time and effort of returning the unit. I now live with a couple of dimples in the top, but nobody can see them but me because the unit is so tall. Please tell your warehouse people to take greater care in handling these cartons. These light metal units can't take the abuse. Otherwise it functions as expected and matches the reviews (drawer detents could be a little softer). I made the right choice, given what I was ready to spend.

Overall, I am happy. I have ordered Husky products from Home Depot in the past only to find damage, so I insisted on an inspection for damage and was satisfied, only to find that I had missed some damage to the upper box, that being a dented lower drawer and a dented upper lock assembly. I just wish I had seen said damage before taking it home. All other aspects, including C/S and help for loading were OTT. Typical for Dahlonega

I'm very happy with the tool boxes. There's just right combination of shallow and deep drawers. The ball bearing slides are smooth. The lock work well, and the one key for both is great.

My husband loves the Husky 27" tool chest. I'm glad I bought the drawer liners to go with it. I do have to say on the down side. Not the product but the warehouse does not know it's product. When i went to pick the item up, the warehouse (not Home Depot) didn't know it came in 2 boxes. It took 2 hours for them to figure it out. Thank you Guy Store Manager Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He was great in fixing the problem.

I had read these reviews so I had my toolbox shipped to store so I could check it out before taking it home. Sure enough the top portion was dented/bent in 3 places. The store was very helpful & swapped me with their display model. They told me that these damaged boxes were being discounted and shipped out knowingly to unsuspecting customers. Ridiculous! I am happy so far with the display model I received, though I will have to strengthen the upper middle support as described in some previous reviews on here. This will address the slightly sagging upper half-drawers.

Nice sturdy box and the roller drawers are awesome. Favorite feature is the bottom lg drawer. Its great for holding paint cans, cleaners ect.

When I got the tool box home and removed it from the cartons the top of the tool box was crushed. Because of the weight of this tool box I decided to keep this item with the damage.

It was easy to assemble and you need two people to lift the top portion. Sturdy drawers when there is a lot of weight in them the open and close easily. The casters are heavy duty making it easy to move.

Tool chest was as described. Everything seemed well designed and of decent quality. Top of chest was crushed, so returned to local HD. The HD sent replacement which is fine. Paid $300 total. Good buy.

Just like most of the other reviews. Nice box but when I opened it up it was damaged. The bottom was bent up.

Great. box with lots of room and sturdy drawers. The only down side is there were no drawer liners.

Pros: The box has nice draw slides with the snug closed feature Con: Not recommended for commercial or flat rate shops, barley acceptable for home use only. 1) Top box is next to worthless, had less then 30 lbs divided by the six (6) top draws and noticed a pronounced sag (1/4” drop) in the middle Upon inspecting, the center support is made of the thin skin metal 22 gage and is a “L” bracket w/ a ¼” lip. The lip is held in place w/ two spot welds at each end, allowing it to pull away (bend down). After using a carpenters clamp and bending the “L” bracket back in place, I placing (4) 1/8” pop rivets in the “L” bracket, yes there is just enough room to do this, it make the “L” bracket snug against the ceiling of the top shelf, however the metal is so thin, it still has a 5/32” flex with little thumb pressure. 2). The top shelf will not hold a stand tool tray, you need a low profile tray, barley enough room to have a ½” deep well socket standing up with out a holder. The gas struts take up a lot of room, you loose 4” side to side. 3) The wheels are a challenge to install; they have steel spacers that go between the caster and the bottom box. I ended up using a hot glue gun to hold the spacer in place to start the (4) bolts at the same time. 5) The casters are made of a hard plastic or nylon, and does not handle concrete floor joints very well at all, the more weight you have in your box the more the box gets stuck. I would or retuned the box but had all ready installed glued in draw liners. I hope this helps others to stay away from this top box.

For the money I wasn't expecting to much. This chest combination far exceeded my expectations. The drawers fully loaded slide easy and smooth. It rolls nicely on the large casters and feels very solid fully loaded. The finish looks great also! Long story short I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Looking for a different box for work and bought this combo. The top box is the same depth as the bottom which is nice and not common with other brands. I also like the bottom drawer size. It is deep enough for a welding helmet. Again rather uncommon in a lot of other brands. This box has held up very well the year i have owned it.

I'm satisfied with the tool box, but it was riddled with dents and the upper box draws is unaligned I'm not sure how but it works. The box is very strong and it does its job

I picked up this combo from the store and it is now at a lower price which is why I went with it. The top section had a bent corner, you can see someone let it down on the corner, the problem is, the top box is too heavy to haul back to the store and it is in the rear of the box so I decided to keep it. I had to use a hammer to strighten out some of the metal so it would lay flat on the lower section. Husky really went cheap on the packaging, for a tool box that is so heavy, the styrofoam they used should be at least twice as thick.

The tool chest was what my son wanted. It was a great gift.

Product came damaged. Would have to wait 2 weeks for replacement. Not really happy. Overall tool box has lots of room and sturdy.

Should probably be packed a little better from shipper, 2 arrived with a little damage from transit. Delivery was longer than we would've liked but it arrived in a decent amount of time. Perfect size for inside a service van.

On Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11 AM I received my Husky 27 inch 16 drawer tool chest and cabinet set. Thank you Home Depot for helping deliver this merchandise 4 days early and right to my door. This merchandise arrived safely, securely and well packaged. As for the merchandise itself. The top tool chest is equipped with 2 lock keys. And the bottom tool cabinet is equipped with 2 lock keys. The structure is very solid and very well-designed. The description of this merchandise at the Home Depot website is very accurate. Only took a few minutes to attach the wheels to the cabinet and mount The 9 drawer chest atop the 7 drawer cabinet. The top Toolchest lid and all of the drawers and the lock mechanisms all perform very smoothly. This merchandise is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this merchandise for your home or business tool storage needs. The quality wheels make for easy maneuvering. Good day.

Heavy and well built. I have several of the drawers loaded up with very heavy tools and the drawers still open and close with easy. Great product.

Really like this chest. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that on the first trip to the site, must have bounced in the truck too much and the caster bent a little. Not bad enough to replace it, but disappointed that it didn't hold up better when I don't have heavy stuff in it.

Well built, heavy and has gotten my garage organized. I should bought years ago.

I was able to get the box all together for 299. I do wish the drawers were bigger in some and the smaller ones seem fine. Bought it already assembled so i was able to see the slight damages. However i did not verify that both boxes had keys. Seen paper work inside both so thought keys were there. NOPE got it home started putting my tools in there and I'm missing the keys for the bottom box. Guess it waa stolen at the store cause the bag for them was in the box. Surely it is not the Mac Tools box or the Matco box I had before but I'm no longer a full time mechanic either. Like i said good for home use. Satisfied my needs for now.

I ordered this product for store delivery, got it home and it was heavily dented. I called homedepot.com and was told to take back to store and get refund then they would send me another at 10% discount. Got the new tool chest store deliver, opened box at store and looked good. Got it home and put it together and realized had some small scratches and the drawers drooped slightly to the left. Oh well, get what you pay for!! I would recommend if purchasing this product, get one already put together in the store so you can see all defects
