I purchased and installed this fan yesterday (05/29/2016) to replace a Hunter Viente model that stopped working 2 days prior. This fan was an easy install, it took approx. 1-hour. I did have an issue with the globe. It cracked as I was hand tightening the nut, and broke the bulbs. (I've assembled and installed dozens of fans over the years and never had this happen before). The globe from the Viente is the same size and cut, so I used it instead. This fan has great air movement. It is installed in a 16'x16' room and keeps it comfortable. Hopefully it lasts longer than the previous Hunter it replaced (3 yrs 10 months).

This outdoor fan fit perfectly in our gazebo off our deck. Fan looks really expensive after installing and is completely noise free. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fan that will last them many year to check this one out

My previous outdoor fans lasted for over 10 years without a broken blade. I decided to replace those fans and chose the Grand Cayman - bad choice. While it is a nice looking fan, it should not be installed in an area with wind. I lost one blade the first year, lost another a few months ago, and then lost 8 of the 10 blades (two fans) during one storm. Now I'm looking for another fan more like the ones I had for the first 10 years.

Beautiful looking fan, especially in a tropical environment (we live in Hawaii). I would recommend this fan for anyone.

I bought two fans to adorn our back porch area. The South has brutal humidity and heat during the summer so I wanted a durable fan that will last. It's very quiet, aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly IT DOES NOT DROOP.

Failed after 4 years and parts are discontinued. Was offered $50.00 credit voucher from the company but you still have to take down the bad fan and install a new one. A lot of work and time for only $50.00. Think the company could offer more since they admitted it was a defect and they no longer had the part that needed replaced. Could have been a simple fix if they would have had the part.

Installed three of these fans under a covered patio and the wind destroyed all of them within 6 months. The way these fans mount on a downrod, they swing when the wind blows. It stormed one night and that was it. The wind blew the fans and they swung up and the blades hit the ceiling not only breaking the blades, the globe on the light, but it also damaged the ceiling of my patio. I tried to contact Hunter to see if there was any way to keep the fans from swinging but they wouldn't help me. I would have bought replacement parts for what was damaged if there was a way to keep the fans from swinging on the downrod but since Hunter Customer Service is horrible, then I guess I will trash these fans and buy some that have a mounting option that doesn't use a downrod. $600 DOLLARS WASTED.

THE LIGHTS ARE A LITTLE LESS WATAGE THAN I WAS LOOKING FOR BUT I UNDERSTAND I CAN CHANGE THEM TO THE NEW LIGHTS AND IT WILL BE BETTER. LOVE THE LOOK. IT RUNS VERY QUIET.

We installed this fan on our new pergola and it looks great! The fan is silent and circulates a good amount of air.

These fans really look great and provide sufficient lighting to a small area.

I purchased this ceiling fan as I was redecorating my patio and wanted something that looked like this. I had seen this fan in a high end catalog and wanted to mimic the look. There were other less expensive ceiling fans that I could have purchased but wanted a quality product. This fit the bill just perfectly. I am unable to speak to ease of installation as I had it professionally installed. But the installer installed it within about 20 minutes. It looks beautiful on our covered patio and I am so glad I made the purchase.

It was a little more expensive, but it is a beautiful fan that I installed out on the patio. Having one that is indoor/outdoor is great. Like the design of the fan. All of the fans are essentially the same from installation perspective. Bought 5 fans and love that it was simple (although about an hour to install each one) and quiet, This provided great outdoor lighting for on the patio as well. Helps to have box already there. One good thing about my builder! (they thought ahead!)

Bought Grand Cayman ceiling fan with light fixture for living room. Liked it so well we purchased another for our bedroom. Very attractive, high quality and quiet. You cannot hear it running.

The fan looks better than it did on line or in the box. compliments my bedroom decor. very quiet and a nice breeze. recommend this fan. I had installed by an electrician so can't tell you if it was easy or not; I have no skills in this area so not able to assess accurately. But the electrician didn't seem to have any problems

Light cover cracked after installing. Need new 1!!

I was afraid that the blades were going to look like plastic. I was happily surprised that they don't! The fan is quiet and I didn't hear bad words come out of my husband during the installation! :)

Installation instructions were not detailed enough, mostly just pictures. Fan does not deliver a high volume of air, possibly due to being mounted so clise to the ceiling. Fan is attractive but a little too pricey.

Fan was easy to put together, and looks great. I extended the fans down rod and no vibrations.

This fan was installed in my lanai area. Looks great! Nice looking.

I bought this fan after buying and installing two fans with bum motors and decided to play it safe by getting a Hunter fan instead. I can't be more please with my decision as this fan is not only beautiful and exudes quality, but it was super easy to install and is powerful and quiet. Worth the extra money I spent to go with this fan.

I really like my ceiling fan with 1 exception. The blades are very plastic looking. They move the air very well. We actually bought 2 - 1 for our family room and 1 for our lanai. the blades have 2 different designs so we chose 1 design for the family room and the other design for the lanai. It looks like we have 2 completely different fans. .

We looked long and hard to find a ceiling fan with a tropical flair for in our living room. We tried several that were not supplied with long enough electrical wires to deal with our vaulted ceiling. This one had wires that were 48" long and were plenty for go thorugh the 24" drop tube we needed. It was easy to install with clear directions, even for figuring whether the angle of the ceiling was too steep. It looks great, runs super quietly and smoothly and moves a lot of air, especially on the high setting. Even then, the only noise is the rush of the air, not the sound of the motor. We did have to return our first one as the globe was broken, but Home Depot quickly made the exchange.
