I love the look of this fan. After the warranty was up I noticed when I took it off to dust the inside it had a good amount of rust on each side. Very disappointed.

It looks nice but for lack of durability and stainless steel that is probably not made of that material, it will rust within a year.

I am typing this review in an attempt to lower my blood pressure, which has increased from my experience with this fan. Please, DO NOT BUY THIS FAN, save yourself the aggravation. This fan, although attractive, has a huge problem: The cover is virtually impossible to either remove or reinstall, something you need to do to replace a bulb or to clean. If you do manage to get it off without breaking it, you're not going to be able to get it back on. You must align four brackets with two bars in a very precise way, otherwise the cover does not go on. But you can't see the brackets as you're aligning them, because they are behind the cover. There is no room for error. If, by some crazy chance, you are still thinking of buying this fan, I have uploaded images to show you the task at hand. You have to somehow align the four points on the cover (indicated by arrows) with the four brackets (indicted with arrows), then lift the cover straight up, and then slide it over to lock it in place. I have not yet figured how to do this. I can't get the four points aligned. I can do two, sometimes even three, but so far, not four. I would like to spend 10 minutes in a locked room alone with the designer, to get out some of the frustration that I am currently going through.

The glass on the light is colored greenish blue and has the Hunter name etched in the glass. I did not want to advertise for them in my shower.

I had this installed in an older home that didn’t have an exhaust fan. The fan is relatively quiet and effective. There is barely enough room for A15 light bulbs which are quite small. The lens over the two miniature bulbs is nearly opaque. The result is an absolutely useless light in an area that requires a lot. Shaving in the dark doesn’t work well. Truly terrible. Now i have a large hole in my ceiling to fit this piece of garbage and will be forced to find one the exact same size or repair the drywall. I feel like Hunter owes me money for taking this rather than me having to pay for it. Less than one star

I initially thought it may have been an area where the coating may have been marred during installation and didn't pay much attention to a hint of rust. now its been close to a year and I've noticed its 90 percent all rust on the base. It seems that the cover isn't rusting, so the base must have not gone through a coating process at the factory. I ll call the manufacture and see if I can find some resolution.

The fan is so low i am not sure it is on and the light is so dull and only using two 60 watts bulbs per the instructions.

We used this in the master bathroom so as to match the nickel faucets and it looks great .

Most cheaply made frosted glass looks green with a certain amount of light and this fixture is no exception. Fan is relatively quiet and fan was as simple as others to install, but I'm really put-off by the green frosted-glass.

It was a Good looking fan. Works great. 1 major problem is it began to rust within a few weeks and within 10 to 12 months was completely covered in rust.

Just like most everyone else mine turned to rust, I contacted hunter they said they sold this part of the company awhile ago and cpgame me another contact number...well instead,I carefull drilled out the rivets and sanded it down and primed and spray painted it and put it back together with stainless steel screws... looks much better as the mother is quiet and I paid a lot for this and wanted more then 18 months!! So just repaint it!, becareful popping out the rivets... but it’s better then throwing away $125

This is a fabulous fan/light. It is the second one I have installed in two different bathrooms. However, this particular fan arrived with the name "Hunter" painted in the center of the light fixture which is not reflected in any of the product images online or on the box. And personally, I don't like it. Because it is frosted glass and because it is painted on the glass, I think I'm stuck looking at it. I would expect the brand to be somewhere on the product but not really happy that it is in the center of the frosted glass and it is not discrete. Also not happy that the product images do not reflect this. The first fan I purchased did not have this so I was surprised that the second purchase did. If you don't mind monograming your bathroom with the name Hunter, this is a great fan/light combo!

As others have noted the unit rusts quickly, it even states that is could be installed above a shower.. mine is not and it has only been installed 2 years. I can't imagine how must rust you'd get if you installed directly above a shower. You can see the rust on the visible portion and it is really rusting inside. Now the motor failed. The motor is a 5 year warranty, so i did contact the manufacture and they are sending me a new motor at no cost, but still, I would hope for better at this price point. The motor is definitely an import (Chinese) and you cannot find a direct replacement anywhere other than the manufacture, unlike many of the other more well known brands.

Easy to install and work great. No steam in the bathroom at all.

An initially attractive fixture with a quiet but efficient fan, it began rusting within the first year, and now has rust all around the outside rim and on the rivet heads that hold the glass. Very poor quality finish for an item intended to be installed in a wet, humid environment, and it will have to be replaced.

Initially I thought it was a nice looking and durable exhaust fan. The fan has only been installed for a few years and it's rusting. For this reason I wouldn't recommend purchasing this model.

We bought this fan for out newly remodeled bathroom and it works well. After just one year we started to notice the buttons and side of the light housing were rusting. I took the light fixture off and the inside was rusted bad. Going to see if we can get it warranted.

I’ve had this same fixture for 10 years. Finally gave out but I loved it so much that I repurchased. It works great as the only light fixture in a small bathroom but wouldn’t recommended as the only light if your bathroom is bigger Easy install. Fan is nice and quiet

I didn’t install this so I can’t say any to ing as to that process. I love the look and the fact that it has a nightlight though. So cool! It’s not the quietest but it works well. But it is not rust proof! After 10 yrs, there’s a thick coating of rust on the inside. I’ll be looking to replace it soon it looks like.

Love the way these look, they stood out compared to the average bathroom light/exhaust fan combo and were decently quiet. The pricing for them seemed to be fair and the brand has always been what I would consider a "Trusted Brand". Like others have stated, these rusted out very badly, which was highly disappointing. One would expect that an item marketed and sold as a "Bathroom exhaust fan with light" would be made of materials that were bathroom (water/steam/condensation) friendly.

Rusted within 6 months. Bought a new one to replace. That one rusted within 1 month of instillation in my bathroom. Do not buy.

Really nice light and very quiet fan. The only issue, if it is one, is getting the light plate one after putting the light bulbs in. But I have found that is an issue with every fixture I have had with covered bulbs. Still like it though.

Looks beautiful in our small bathroom.

Good looking and works as expecyed

Brushed nickel look with slightly green hue when lit was the perfect choice for 2 bathrooms in our home. It is quiet when turned on. Installer changed our slider switch to a flip switch. He said the slider switch shortens the lifespan of this fan.

Looks very different then the advertised picture. The light has a green border around it and does not put out a lot of light. Hunter is written right on the glass. Tacky and looks very dated.

The light output of this fixture is horrible and it rusted in less than a year. We are already replacing after one year.
