We got this door as a more decorative alternative to our existing bathroom door. The original was plain contractor grade circa 1980. Our room has been heavily muraled in bright tropical colors, and rather than try to dress up the existing door we thought we might switch to something that was more in keeping with the motif. The slatted bi-fold door was the perfect size and style to start creating that look. Most bi-fold doors are metal and have an un-finished back side, this one is wood and looks good from both sides. I used a faux distressed finish to add some island flare to the design. The wood grain took the paint well without need for primer. Once the paint had dried I set about installing it into the existing doorway. Only a few screws were required for the upper track and the pivot hinge on the floor. I had it completely installed within 30 minutes. If you are looking for a prettier alternative to contractor grade doors, this is a very nice choice.

This design of functional exterior shutters came about Because an HOA decided against Professional Awnings. The power company raised the rates this year 17.5%. These Exterior Wood Shutters were placed on South and West windows. These are remarkably Energy Efficient and have Received Many Many Complements from Neighbors and passerby s . The Bi Fold Wood Product was a wonderful resource and functional for this Project. ;)

Well made, very pretty color of wood, no need to stain, just put a coat of varnish on it.

Had to rip 1/2” off the fold , shaved the bottom and top and lower right corner and after I got it to fit I stained and sealed it to match the rest of cabinetry. Door rough was not 100% square and all manufacturers didn’t really have a perfect fit however over all a good experience.

Overall quality is about as expected, however when I unscrewed the hinges to paint the edges of the doors, within a half hour the doors had warped almost beyond use. This was the middle of winter so I don't think excessive humidity played a part. I was able to straighten them out enough to use them but they don't fit properly and the customer is ok but not thrilled.

This is a very nice door--it operates smoothly and covers the opening well. Thusfar (soon after installation) it has done a great job.

Oh my God this is a beautiful door. I purchased it in Red Oak because the Mahogany was sold out. The Red Oak is beautiful but was not the color that I was hoping for because I love cherry and mahogany stains. So I did my research and learned that I could stain over the existing finish using Minwax Polyshades. I bought the Bombay Mahogany gloss finish and it is absolutely beautiful. The wood absorbed the stain immediately. This door is solid wood which is an absolute must and I love the louver feature. Also, it is very well made. Also, to make it appear more expensive looking, I used a bronze handle instead of the wooden knob that came with it. You won't be sorry if you get it. Just gorgeous!!!

Home Depot must read the reviews and take them to heart. Several reviewers mentioned their doors were damaged. I opened the package in the store to check. Not only were the doors in perfect shape, they were packed sufficiently to survive Armegeddon, twice. Anyway, I got these to create access panels behind both showers in my home. I needed to replace plumbing but did not want to destroy tile job in either shower. Worked perfect and looks great. Was able to stain and varnish them with virtually no preparation required

Would have given overall excellent rating. Packaging excellent. First impression was great, construction and finish well worth the large added price over unfinished. Now the problem. Even a $50 kit usually has a list of supplied hardware also showing what each looks like. All hardware is in one bag that has assembly instructions printed in 3 languages on front and back of 5" x 7" bag. Much of the hardware is un needed so the bag can be universal. Laying out the hardware and reading the english version I discover the outer shell of the bottom pivot is missing! No means of identifying or ordering the missing part. Spent hours on the net finding, ordering and getting the missing part. A shame that ten cent saving in hardware packaging and instruction raked havoc on an otherwise excellent product.

I was a bit leery about having the doors shipped to my home, given my past experience with large items and damage in shipment. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the doors were extremely well packaged for shipment. The doors that I ordered arrived in excellent condition and without any flaws.

I bought this door to use in place of a full door on the powder room off my kitchen. The only bad thing about it is that it was meant to be a closet door, so doesn't have a handle on the inside to pull it closed, something I can easily rectify.

Product arrived just as described easy installation, sturdy and well made. This is a safe buy online, you get just what you see on line. I rate this as 5 stars

I took the risk as this bifold wasn't cheap and some of HD's products are suspect. Well, the closet door looked really beautiful. I did not use the hardware that came with it which look cheap. Instead, I used the heavy duty tracks already installed and made it work for this bifold. Prior closet doors were heavier and thicker but in spite of that the tracks and hardware worked ok. With this heavy duty tracks the bifold opens/closes easily and will last forever. I purchased three more for the rest of my closets. Very elegant doors. I had to chop a tiny piece at the bottom to make the doors close correctly due to a problem in the opening and yes, they are made of real wood.
