I needed to replace a set of wooden louvered bi-fold doors on the laundry closet. It seems like the humidity from the washing machine had caused the wooden doors to sag towards the middle (where they come together) so the center portions of the door were actually dragging on the floor. I wanted to avoid this issue in the future so I looked into going with PVC. Initially I thought the 3" louver was going to be a little big but then quickly realized that they would be a much better match with my plantation shutters throughout the house. I compared reviews from various manufacturers and Home Fashion Technologies kept coming up as a very high quality product. The installation was very straight forward and the product looks fantastic. The PVC is a subtle off white color that really goes with basically anything. Of course they feel like plastic (because they are) but are very well assembled and have a solid frame core. If you're using two doors, I would suggest getting aligners to make sure everything lines up when closed. Also, big kudos to the company for service. I broke one of the plastic guide wheels during installation and emailed the company to ask for a replacement. They responded the next day with a fed-ex number and shipped me a few extras for free. Amazing!

I am loving my bi-fold doors. I have attached a photo. I have spent a lot of time renewing everything in my bathroom. I turned a cupboard into a linen closet and the bifold is the door to the new closet. Thank you for making an 18” door.

The door was very easy to put up

We replaced a regular door with this one. The regular door was swinging inward to our bathroom and taking up space so we thought that a bifold would remedy the problem. This looks really nice and has a nice clean look to it. I like the fact that it has wide louvers and I think it looks classy! The one thing that we don’t like about it is that it’s noisy when it opens and closes. We tried some WD-40 and that still doesn’t seem to remedy the issue. The problem seems to be in the top track and it makes a squeaking type of noise. If we can figure this out, I will change my review to a five star because it really was a great deal that a good price.

The color match my cabinet beautifully, I didn't expect it to look so good

This door is very good quality and easy to install. It doesn't require painting, being totally off-white color as the same as the walls. In my case, since the threshold was heavily damaged from a previous installation, it required to be fixed on the ceramic tile floor. I drilled a hole on it with a regular drill and anchored the door base using a regular screw. The result wash perfect!

The finish is good and uniform. The hardware is of good quality. The door will not fold flat when closed. I've made sure the hinges were flush and no other obstructions were present but it will not close completely. The 18" size is of limited quantity so you cant be picky I guess.

Easy to install (if you take your time to measure, drill, mount, and fine tune the hinge adjustments), and end result looks and functions great! I would buy these again.

I love this door it has transformed the hallway into my bedroom I love the wide louvres gives it a very modern look,It was very easy to install my husband was surprised, we completed the installation in about an hour. Before this my bedroom door and the closet door would hit each other when they were both open at the same time, also the closet is now ventilated because of the louvres We have had the door for about 2 weeks and I have only good things to say about it.

Door replaced an old wooden door - see photos - and brightened up a dull space. Very pleased with the look. Installation was simple and can be done by one person, unless dealing with an extra large door. I had to cut mine down, which was also simple with a circular saw - just be sure to remove all the trim at the bottom. Width cannot be adjusted, so make sure it fits your space. Cleans easily. Seems durable. The knob can be replaced if you want to match your own hardware. My only complaint is with the painting. Instructions call for spray painting with an oil based paint - which most DIYers aren't going to do. I tried brush painting (didn't have a roller) a small area, but the result wasn't great. Since most customers will want to paint the door, it should come primed to paint with a roller and water based paint.

The quality and finish of the doors on the surface is good. they were simple to install and adjust for the most part. However, I needed to install two together and have them open in opposite directions. While the rail is perfectly aligned and there are no obstructions in the way, the doors don't line up perfect. One of them has a tendency to bend away. I tried adjusting the railing and the way the door was installed, but it doesn't help much. When closed, the door is perfect, is only when extended that it does that. I didn't return it as the door was for a rental unit and it was being rented that week, these are available online only and I didn't want to be w/out the doors for my new tenant. But if necessary, I would buy these again.

This door looks lovely and made an instant improvement to my room. It comes with every thing you need to install. Very simple. Just screw in top track and lover bracket, put door in and attach knob. I love the wider louvers. Plantation style, made my closet look much cleaner and modern. The finish looks very nice and the Golden Oak composite looks much like "real wood".

We selected this door for a 27 inch closet opening. Since the door is only 27 3/4 inches, we were able to remove some interior trim pieces and install it, despite the irregular closet size. Any difficulties we had during installation related to the irregularity of the closet opening. The door looks great. The composite material makes it durable. The finish will definitely stand up better than a standard wood door. The composite frame did mean that trimming down the door to meet the irregular opening was impossible, but it all worked out. The instructions for installation were good. All the requisite tracks and hardware were included, even a basic knob. It looks great and I'm sure it will stand up for quite some time.

These doors were easy to install. Just measure your opening and buy the doors that you need. For me, I have an unusual opening. I thought that I would have a problem since doors are usually 30x80 or 28x80 or 24x80 or whatever. My opening is 58in. Then I thought find a door that comes in 30x80 and 28x80. It looks beautiful and no one knows, but me and now all of you.

I searched the home centers looking for a 18 inch Bi-Fold and 24 inch was the smallest they carried without special order. Then I seen this door online at Home Depot, it saved my day. I already have a 18 inch opening in my bathroom for a linen closet. A Great Looking Door. The 3 inch slats are Bold and Modern looking. There's a gap for ventilation. Perfect for my need.

I have a small master bathroom and wanted an alternative to full door as I just installed a jewelry armoire into the wall. This door is perfect! It looks great, takes up little space, bathroom is cooler from shower as louvered allow steam to scape & is easy to clean. So much nice then the skinny wood louvered doors. I love the larger 3" wide louvers. Gives it a beach feel to my new bathroom. Great door for the $.

Door was very easy to install. It is vinyl so there is some "bounciness" to it but it is also very light weight. It is perfect for the application I need.

I was in a hurry to get two of these 28" bi-fold faux-oak doors for a 58"x80" closet. My wife and I were about to take photos to go with the listing of our house for sale, and I had no doors for the space. I paid $50 extra for expedited delivery direct to my Southern California home from the manufacturer, Home Fashion Technologies in Houston, TX. The doors arrived promptly as promised, and I installed one with reasonable ease. However, I then discovered the second door was maple, not oak, and came with different color hardware that did not match the hardware that came with the already installed oak door. Both boxes identified their contents as oak, not maple, so I assume some inattentive employee at Home Fashion Technologies put a maple door in an oak box. So much for quality check. Home Depot handled my distress call well. They rebated the expedited shipping cost and had a replacement door shipped overnight. However, since my call to Home Depot was on a weekend, it was a few days before the replacement door arrived from Houston. Although I had no problem installing the replacement door, the new package included a knob that did not match the door color or the other knob. I called Home Depot again and asked them to replace both knobs so I might have a 50-50 chance of getting them to match each other and/or the doors. Home Depot agreed to do so, and the replacement knobs are currently on the way from Home Fashion Technologies. I will believe they match each other and the doors when they arrive, and I can see them with my own eyes. I should also mention that the bracket mounting screws provided with the doors were wholly inadequate (not long enough) to go through drywall securely into the door frame. I had to find screws to replace the ones provided and had trouble doing so as the screw heads had to be very flat to clear the door guides. I ended up having to grind down the heads and the guides to permit clearance. None of this was particularly difficult, but all of it was unnecessary. I like the doors. Although they do look nice and work reasonably well, installing them took far more of my time and energy than it should have. Home Depot gets an A for their handling of this matter, but a D for carrying goods from Home Fashion Technologies, which should do us all a favor by going out of business. Indeed, if they remain on their present track, they will.

Bought 2 of these in Dec 2010, 1 of them broke on me (after being loose for a couple of months between 2 parts that weren't staying together correctly). It took a wonderful Home Depot customer service rep, Assantae, to help me get ahold of the manufacturer. As soon as they got my message, they sent me a new door the next day as part of their lifetime warranty. These doors may be cheap in price, but they look nice, and there is a lifetime warranty on manufacturer defect. That and Home Depot's customer service make these worth the money.

The product arrived per stated delivery schedule in perfect condition. Unpacking was easy. Assembly and installation instructions were clearly written and illustrated. Appearance and quality of product was as described by Home Depot.
