Loving my cellular shades. They are definitely blackout. Color is great as well. Great for my baby's room.

I don't think you can beat $55 for a decent 48"x48" cellular shade. They're fairly effective as a blackout shade (especially if you add something to help with the sun peeking around the sides). And they do look nice. But... My biggest complaint: WHY NO HANDLES?! Seriously. The shades are nearly impossible to raise up without a handle when they're lowered all the way to the sill because you cannot get enough purchase on the lower rail in order to grab it and lift up -- unless, of course, you get them cut narrow enough that you can fit a finger between the lower rail and sill... which totally defeats the purpose of installing blackout shades. I asked a HD person about it and they said they specifically order them that way (it's a 50 cent part, for crying out loud). And I've been searching in vain for a handle. If anyone else figures out the handle issue, let me know. I'll update this review if I find something. Otherwise, I won't buy them again.

Great product for the price, however - THE BEST part is the EASE in how these go up (install) super easy and they look great. We had ours cut to size in store for a perfect fit

There are easy to install. Works great so far and keep the room very dark even during the day. I've only had them for a few months. The picture shows this shade on the left and the old blinds on the right at 1:00 pm. I wish I bought these a long time ago!

Ordered these online as the store did not have the color/size I needed. Very easy process and they were delivered promptly. My son did the installation and was able to do three windows in under a half hour. These are so nice! Really block out the light at night, are crisp and clean looking and make our living room look terrific! I highly recommend the cordless, especially with little ones around and so simple to use. We purchased the Shadow White, which is is more like a light grey, which was perfect for the room.

These blinds were very easy to install, and operate smoothly, but with a solid feeling action. The picture was taken during the afternoon (5:05 PM in Feb - Eastern US), on an bight, overcast day, with no flash, and the ceiling light off. As you can see, it allows a nice, filtered amount of light through the blind.

The shade installed as directed, and does the job. Smooth movement by hand up and down. Purchased one for the guest bedroom. Will probably get two more for mine.

The shades work wonderfully. If you need them cut, I suggest ordering them rather than having them cut in-store as often it is difficult to find qualified personnel in store to cut/trim the shade correctly.

We installed three sets of these blinds inside our older wood framed windows. Installation required two people because of the dark color painted on the trim hid all pencil marks. With a level I was able to line up the three connectors easily, the left and right side 4” in and the third centered per the instructions. If your connectors are off too much the clasps will have a hard time locking. My final set shifted while I was installing the final screw. The set was strong enough to sustain me strong-arming the assembly to make the final connections. The blinds are stiff but that is expected from them being new. The pull or raise is smooth, no hang-ups or clicks to be heard. The light was immediately blocked by the blinds. At 10 AM the only visible light was seen if I looked at the blinds from an angle.

Simple installation with minimal parts. Cut to width at store worked great for us.

Shade works great on our entry door window. It gives us the privacy we need during the evening hours, yet during the daytime pushes back up to the top and we have no cords or shade sticks in the way during entry and exit. We have purchased these blinds before for our bedroom and continue to be very happy with them.

We have 22 windows in our house, many of which are are east facing, so we needed affordable blackout window shades and these seemed to fit the bill. We ordered one to start and as soon as we unpackaged it we were disappointed with the quality. The "fabric" advertised definitely looks and feels like paper. I am questioning the durability for daily use and am fairly confident my cats, dogs, or kids will rip the shade within a few weeks. If you have no pets or children these would be perfectly acceptable as a solution for a rarely used window. Our shade will remain hung and we will see if it survives our busy household. Hoping it does since other options are much more expensive but we do not dare order any more at this time. I hope I am proven wrong and can update this review at a later time.

I installed 3 yesterday. The operation of raising and lowering them is very smooth. They block light very well, except with inside mount light comes around the ends. If you mount them inside you will find there is no easy way to start raising them, there is no handle. I purchased a pack of 3M Command mini hooks and put 1 on each of the 27 x 72 units, and 2 on the 37 x 72 unit.

These were very easy to install and made the windows look absolutely stunning I would definitely buy more for my homes other windows.

Would have given this product a 5 star rating for ease of purchase, quick shipping and simple installation. However out of the 22 blinds I ordered 2 of them did not come with the end caps put back on from when they were cut. For my application of inside mount on the window frame, I don’t think anyone will notice. But since i put them up I noticed it. Overall great product, reasonably priced and everything came as ordered.

Easy installation, shipped quickly, looks nice. Blocks sun. I hope they last and keep their shape as long as my blinds did! Very happy so far!

We love these shades so much! We purchased 3 shades for our nursery and have decided we will be putting these through out the rest of our house over time. We like how they are room darkening, a small sliver of light does show on each edge, however the room is 90% dark during the middle of the day. At night the room is pitch black. These were easy to install, they are easy to raise and lower. We have only had them for a few weeks but trust they will last us years to come. This room is on the north side of the house with no shade and only has one vent for the central air. My husband has checked several times and this room is staying as cool as the rest of our home thanks to these energy efficient shades. Very happy, have already recommended them to family members.

We love the cordless and stringless blinds. Overall, they were easy to install and look great. They give a room a more classy look. We've had them a couple of weeks and are completely satisfied.

Great product, highest quality, very simple to install, anyone with an electric drill and a screwdriver can do it. I did 7 windows of different sizes and averaged about 30 mins. per, result was very good and my partner gave me a 10 and I give the shades a 10.

Blocks most of the light from coming in and helps keep the room comfortable and cool in hot weather . Easy to install

Extremely pleased with this product. They installed easily and glide smoothly. The fit is perfect and they put the room in complete darkness. Some reviews have mentioned frayed edges, but ours were cleanly cut. No complaints whatsoever.

Easy to install. Quality made. Happy with the product! Did have to order 2 shades online as the store did not have the amount I needed originally so beware when ordering size. I asked for 58 1/2 and ended up with 57.625. Ordering them at 59 was the proper order but even with that being said my order should have been 58 so on top off my slight error they compounded it by taking off another 1/2 inch. Have to return but overall the 3 I have installed are well worth the install and price.

Love these shades. Extremely easy to install, smooth and light to raise up. One finger and up they go. These are blackout shades, wonderful if that’s what you are looking for. Put throughout my house in all windows. Nice color choices. I’ve had the blinds for 3 months and I’m very happy with them.

Just installed these blinds. They appear to be well made and the installation was simple enough. The blackout fabric really does the trick. One major problem though, the cuts. On the edges, where the blinds were trimmed, there are tears in the fabric, and fuzz from messy cutting. Given how expensive these are, I had hoped for much better. Paid nearly $300 for three blinds. I'd seen this complaint from others, but the lifetime warranty swayed me to go with this brand.

So happy with this purchase! Easy to install and does a great job with blocking out the light. The sun sets on this side of the house, so a dark room was necessary to get our 5 yr old and 9 month old to sleep.
