My helpful son-in-law installed these blinds in my dining room. I chose the 2.5 inch blinds for every window in my house. The texture on the slats is attractive and the header gives the blinds a finished look. The plastic tabs on the cords could be better constructed because they came apart easily, hence 4 stars to an otherwise good product.

Overall, the blinds were easy to install. If item is installed within trim as shown, the side pieces to the valance are too long. We cut the side pieces to fit.

I absolutely love these blinds. I wanted to keep a uniformed look throughout the house so I put these blinds on EVERY single window. Prices range depending on size but we'll worth it. The best part is that if you take your measurements, they cut it to size for you right there at the store. They kept my home cool during the summer. So far I've had them for 10 months and they are easy to keep clean with a duster. 2 days ago, I was dying my hair at home and heard my dogs barking so I took a peak out the window. I got a good 2x3in area with the dye accidently. I thought for sure they were ruined but clean up was extremely easy. I would highly recommend!

The installation was very simple and took only a few minutes to install. They looked great...for about a week. Then yesterday I came home to find them completely warped. Like extremely warped. The blades were like potato chips. You're probably thinking "heat caused it." Well the window does not get direct sunlight nor is it next to any heat source and absolutely no moisture. The weather here has been consistently 45F - 60F. The only thing I could think of is that it warped because of the very minimal amount of sunlight hitting it. Very poor materials were using in manufacturing for it to warp like this. Worse yet, when I first installed the shades they looked so good that I threw away the box and receipt, so now I'm out of luck on getting a refund. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me that there's nothing they could do about it and I'd have to contact HD. HD said they won't accept it without a receipt. In short, the shades look great but do not get them in contact with any sunlight.

Please note: This review is for 24 inch wide units. I also have 48 inch units that do not have the bad design flaw. Approximately 8 months ago I purchased four of these blinds in 24 inch widths and two in 48 inch widths. They appeared adequate for the price and looked appealing. They functioned fine and probably did not warp as other reviewers mentioned because they are not exposed to direct sunlight. Yesterday I when I tried to tilt the louvres by pulling the appropriate cord, the cord just moved up and down without affecting the blinds. I took down the blinds to discover that the hexagonal shaft that runs through the little gearbox inside the valance had fallen apart. For some inexplicable reason the manufacturer chose to use a flimsy fiberglass rod instead of an aluminum or steel one as has been the standard for as long as I'm aware venetian blinds have been made. To compound the problem there is a small hole drilled through the shaft with a tiny plastic part inserted into it... My guess is that this acts as some sort of a stop to prevent the shaft from working its way out, as on units with steel or aluminum shafts this area is crimped or has indent with a slip on stop washer. The other problem is that the shaft is of inferior quality fiberglass which is porous and appears to have poor ratio of resin to glass fiber, making it weak and because of its porous nature, the lubricants in the gearbox managed to saturate and deteriorate the fiberglass resin in the shaft weakening it at the hole. The drilled hole is approximately 1/4 - 1/3 of the diameter of the shaft, so this was a bad idea even if the lubricant didn't damage the material. I look at the other three blinds and they all exhibit similar levels of deterioration and though they are not yet broken, it appears they are on the verge of doing so. For some inexplicable reason the larger units have steel shafts while the smaller units have low quality fiberglass... Although perhaps the large units are from an older shipment before the change to low quality fiberglass. I would not recommend purchasing any of these blinds unless you can confirm is the shaft in the unit you are purchasing is made of metal. Using fiberglass in this application was a terribly cheap and amateurish mistake. Combined with the reports of warping I would not recommend these blinds at all, which is unfortunate because they are good looking and reasonably priced, but catastrophically flawed by cheap materials and bad design. See images for examples of the failed fiberglass shaft next to an aluminum one scavenged from an old blind unit and a close up of what the steel shaft in the 48 inch unit looks like.

If i could give more than 5 stars i would..the the trim piece for the top is just elegant and gives the top of the window an elegant look..it makes the window look finished and polished. I bought 14 blinds, 11 of them for bigger windows..for around $550ish on sale..they are a bright clean white and the louvers work smoothly when pulled up or down, open or closed..thank you HD for a great product at a great price!

Easy to assemble, and made a beautiful difference in our home.

The blinds look great and do a wonderful job blocking out light whether mounted outside or inside the window. The are so nice that I decided not to put up curtains.

Just installed 4 of these blinds the weekend of 8/26/17. The installation was easy, the instructions were complete with options noted. I love the look. Only slight disappointment was the lesser quality bracket to attach the valence. We were careful and nothing broke, but the package includes 4 lesser quality brackets compared to the quality of the blinds and valence.

We have had 1" Mini Blinds on these windows for over twenty years. It was time for a change and we wanted larger slats. We chose these and they turned out great. Dave at Home Depot was a great help in making sure we got the correct measurements prior to cutting. They were very easy to install and went up quickly. Especially for an old man about to turn 79 years old. They really added a lot to this Breakfast Nook. I will do the other windows, one room at a time until we have changed out all of them. Budget you know. I took measurements for three windows just this morning.

We originally purchased these blinds for one room of our house. We liked them so much we went back and got them for every window in the house! You can't beat the quality for the price! They are simple to install right out of the box. We only needed to have one cut to fit and that was as easy as telling the Home Depot employee how much to take off and he buzzed it down right then.

The product itself is very nice and sturdy. Easy to install. However, the packaging of this product when shipping to my location was not durable enough to withstand shipping duration without ripping.

Easy to install and looks great

These simple blinds were easy to order and simple to install. We're planning to buy more so that the windows all match in the front of the house - but they block the light effectively and open up enough to see outside clearly. I did receive a few broken items, but I wasn't planning to use them (the side covers for the top of the unit). These are mounted inside the window, so it doesn't change anything for me. We love them and plan to buy more soon!

For the price this is a very nice blind. Strings could have been made of a slightly better material as one blind had broken strings right out of the box and another frayed at the very top on one string immediately after being hung...however that was out of 14 blinds so overall, worth the money. Color and look for our office is just fine.

I purchased 20 blinds and HD guys adjusted the width for me. It was painless process as compared to shopping at competitor stores. Great product. Easy installation. Love that all pull cords are tied in one string.

We just purchased a home. The previous homeowners had poorly install curtains. We needed privacy, so the first upgrade we did was install faux wood blinds. What I like: they were a perfect fit for all my windows; they were easy to install and look great. Things I don't like: The instructions on shortening them are pretty unclear; they should include a couple extra valence clips; and the plastic piece on the right side holding all the cords from the blinds comes apart really easily, which could be problematic.

The blinds were easy to assemble and look great in my new space. The valance gives the blinds a classy finished look. Many people have commented, "I love your wood blinds!" I just smile because they are a great look for a great price. They were recently put up for sunlight during the day and privacy at night. I am still under construction and the blinds are holding up well.

These look great and do a wonderful job darkening our room when we need it. My only complaint is the chord consolidator. This blind has 5 chords that you consolidate into the connector (the chord on the right). The connector is meant to easily fall apart to prevent strangulation, but it seems cheap and its a nuisance. It's hard to shove all of the chords into it and it falls apart most of the time if we pull on it, so I pull on the five chords just above the connector.

The blinds look great and are fairly easy to install. If you get stuck, read the instructions. The hardest piece to get setup is actually the crown molding at the top. The clips sometimes refuse to fit inside the track for the piece. Recommendation for cutting is to cut them at least a 1/4 inch shorter than you want as you don't want them to fit too snug in the bracket at the top. We used inside mounting and we were glad we had them shorter than we planned. They come in the box 1/2 inch shorter (as noted) than measured and that was standard for most of our windows.

Very easily installed & Beautiful! Light filtering & also blocks warm/cold air when closed up tight. Looks like real wood grain. Very Happy with this purchase!

Matches the trim, looks like real wood. I am glad I decided to spend the extra money on these versus regular blinds. These blinds complete the room and pull the room together. Besides being very decorative, they are also very functional.

We love our new blinds! They look great in our living room. I was nervous about the measurements, but they fit perfect. The best part was they were so easy to install. Would highly recommend these.

We custom ordered these blinds and the installation was easy. We renovated an 80's home and needed a solution to a window that looks into a mudroom that was once a screened porch. We also installed them through out the house and they changed the whole look.

I like these shutters. They are very easy to install. I had to altered the facia molding on mine to fit my windows properly, but they turned out very nice.

I like to faux wood blind.

The blind does not pull up. It is cheap quality but serves the purpose.

We renovated/preserved a beautiful 1909 Victorian mansion in Savannah, GA. The original pine wood casings were scraped and stained and we needed to find the right blinds to keep this home looking historically correct but also function well. These 2 1/2 inch mahogany faux wood blinds worked absolutely beautifully in all the windows. They were very easy to install, and the look we wanted, we were able to achieve with this product. We will definitely use this product again in the future!

This is an excellent window venetian blind. Because of the width (51.5 in.) it may required two (2) people to place it in the mounted brackets. Pros: Good construction, all parts included for installation into wood framed in window opening, reasonable price. Cons: If drywall and/or metal flashing or metal header, power drill and appropriate bits and screw anchors may be required.
