Better value than I anticipated!
These blinds are a great fit for my home! I was going to buy more expensive wood blinds, but these are just as good! They were easy to install, able to be sized, and had a variety of colors. I chose Espresso, which looks very elegant, and looks like I spent a lot more on my blinds! I was able to redo my entire first floor because of how affordable they are.

Very heavy duty table
This table is a perfect size for our small patio but large enough for 2 people to eat sitting at it very comfortably. I love the design of the stones for the top.

adjustment rod is horrible!
Bought these blinds for our entire house. Within just a few months the dinky little adjuster where the rod attaches to open the blinds had broke on 3 of them. They need to design the part so it doesn't break so easy. Just got back from a house we rented at Surfer Beach in San Diego. Same blinds and most of them were broke in the exact same spot. The looks are fine -- it's the flimsy piece that the rod attaches to in order to open and close the blinds that is worthless and will break easily.

Easy to install, look great
I purchased these blinds in a shorter width (17") and am very happy with the overall look. They were easy to install and adaptable to my awkwardly proportioned casing (I installed them to the top of the casing, rather than the sides because of the proportion). These blinds have nicer controls than many I've seen with the pulley angle cord (rather than the wand), and a bundled up/down cord - looks nicer, easier to use and less breakable than those wands. The cover piece is nice, although the attachable side cover pieces don't fit as well they might. Overall a very good value for the cost.

This product, blinds, looks great.
Placing the blind into the mounted brackets, the corner chipped off. The blind was no longer square and would slip out of bracket. I'm sure I pushed to hard, but I had to drill a screw and wedge the blind in. The valence does hide the damage. I'm not a professional.

Look great for the price
Loved the way the blinds look. They cost a lot less than its competitors and the quality was pretty good. There wasn't anything wrong with my orders but I had read that some blinds would bend after being in the sun for a while. I've had this brand of blinds in my house for about 4 months and nothing has happened so far. I would recommend them.

Easy to install, custom fit, functions well, great value
These blinds perform well and were easy to install. The finish is exceptional for the cost. We had an odd width size of 15.5 inches for the side windows and an odd length of 58". The custom size for the side windows fit perfectly and we were able to adjust the length very easily.

Poor quality
I cant even understand why HOME DEPOT sells this product STILL. I bought a houseful of these blinds and hung 3 and they all bowed almost instantly and look awful. I decided to call the manufacturer to discuss this....the lady told me to return them to the store that I may have gotten a "defective batch". I most certainly will be returning them for a REFUND, do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!!!!!

Looks Great, Easy to Install!!
Blinds came super fast, to exact measurements that I needed. Install was fast, easy, and professional. The blinds changed the entire look of our downstairs. The 2 1/2 inch faux blinds looks rich and much better than the 2 in. I would recommend getting the larger slats, also the inside mounting of this product is amazing, along with the decorative trim.

Great look & light control
We purchased the maple color blinds for a 1906 home with odd window sizes. They matched the window surrounds perfectly and offer great light control. They completely block the lights from a nearby business at night. Also, there are no visible cord holes. During the day the slats can be fully opened for full view, since the openings are quite large. They are a great value for a very expensive look. If purchased at the store, the associate who cuts them should make sure to do it slowly since the cutting machine will splinter the ends of the slats if they run through them quickly (as we experienced on the first try).

great look for great price
These blinds are really nice. the 2 inch width makes them look rich. they come in a dark color taht is beautiful. we got white nivce but fdark is even nicer. Only cautuion is whne ordering online i neede 31 1/2 width and evidently they take off extra 1/2 inch for something. thnis should be noted. I had to add a little block next to braclet because the top of blinds was to narrow. Not a big deal they still look great. I would get them again.,

Very impressed
I bought 2 of these sets for windows that flank our entertainment center, but since they're not available in 96" width, I had to go to The Leading Blind Maker (L...) for the 98" wide window above it. The 2 from Home Depot arrived at my door in about a week, where the Other brand set took a few weeks - not a problem, that was expected. The Home Depot blinds were easy to assemble and install, and the detail of things like the corner pieces of the valance, and grouping of the draw strings were above and beyond what I expected; the simulated wood grain texture as opposed to the L brand with 8 separate drawstrings, flat, plain slats, and other features that wouldn't seem lacking, except that they are being used next to the Home Depot ones that costs 1/4 the price. And the quality is at least as good as the Other brand. Not to say L brand is poor quality, but I think of it like the difference between UPS and Fed Ex... UPS service was and is the greatest thing in the world, and then came FedEx... I will definitely go to the Home Depot Home Designs blinds first, before any other source. And I hope they make the size I'm looking for. Outstanding value for twice the price.

Love the blinds, they look great and affordable.
At first I was started by the $50ish price, but after I saw other blinds of similar quality (about double that price), I decided they were the lesser of two evils. The quality is great, they look f'n fantastic, and my wife loves them. They are easy to use and to mount in the window.

Faux Wood Blinds
I bought these about a month ago. 3 of them. All bowed within 2 days. Looked like a rainbow. You wouldn't believe it. They are beautiful. I took 2 back for exchange and they bowed in about 5 days.

Perfect solution to my window needs
These shades were perfect for the window. Since I live in a very humid environment I couldn't use wood. These look like wood but will stand up to the humidity. Very easy to install and they look great!

The Melted!!!!!!????
I really do like the look of these blinds. As one would imagine, they are hung in my window and that window gets sunlight shining at it. To my surprise, after having these blinds hung in my window for two weeks, they melted and all bow down... like a rainbow! I can't believe that they are not built to withstand sunlight... they're blinds!!!! Now what do I do? I'm happy to share pictures if anyone would like to see how melted blinds look.

Not made for windows with too much direct sun
I purchased two of these blinds for my den. The homes are rental property so I was away for three months. When I returned one of the blinds had warped on both sides. The other had not warped. It leads me to believe that these blinds cannot withstand too much direct sunlight. I contacted the company and was informed that there were under warranty and could be returned.

    Great Service, Great Blinds
We had a guy from the Hoover Location come out and measure for all our blinds. He was prompt and very personable. He recommended the string instead of the rod on the blinds. A girl then called us within 48 hours to go over our order. She saved us a lot of money by buying some of the blinds out of the store and only a couple special ordered. Home Depot was great!

Easy to hang, mildly difficuly to trim.
The blinds are absolutely a great bargain. If they are already sold in the length you need, stop reading and buy. If you plan on cutting down the length for your window, check out this review. If you have a hard time following instructions and would not want to attempt to trim and re-string some blinds you are probably better off spending the extra money on something which is already cut to length for you. If you have some decent mechanical sense then you should easily make these blinds do exactly what you want. I added several pictures with captions to this review which should provide some additional insight. My advice would be to read the instructions multiple times. Then study the blind and see exactly how it operates. I rushed a little on the first one and ended up cutting an extra loop I was not supposed to. When trimming the blinds to length, I would recommend you fully extend the blinds for easy access to all the small strings you must cut. The piece of trim which is included was a little too wide for my window. I also noticed it was cut a little crooked. I used a skill saw to adjust the width and the plastic cut beautifully – no splinters or chips. Lastly, if you are planning to install these on drywall you will need to supply your own drywall anchors as it did not come with any.

hung in living room and dining room
our dining and living room windows are 46" we ordered two for each window. no complaints so far, but i cannot comment on the warping (since this is a rental property) price is mediocre. but faux wood blinds are recommended for investment properties.

hung in dining room and living room
these are very good quality, but have become ubiquitous. i have written a similar review for the white faux wood blinds purchased from home depot (29"), and sandwiched the white between two of these dark brown espresso faux woods (each 21"). looks quite nice - pop effect - in dining room. i would caution to order the right size, as to avoid trimming or any cutting. cutting destroys the look.

        Blinds work well
I bought the blinds to use to reduce the heat from the sun during the summer. I also close them at night for privacy. They were easy to install and shorten and work well to block out the sun. Hopefully the plastic material will be easy to clean and last indefinitely.
