This is a very soft rug. Low pile. The colors are printed on, not different color woven threads. The biggest concern is it creates a fall hazard with socks. It is very slippery, like being on ice. My kids were sliding across it for fun. It is very lightweight, if you're looking for that. I thought it would be good with our radiant heat floors. It laid pretty flat immediately after unrolling. But after slipping and nearly falling, we rolled it back up to return it.

I bought this rug for my kids after they fell in love with the much larger version of this rug in our local store. The large one was about $200-300, this one was much cheaper and felt the same as the large one. If you have not felt this rug, you need to, it will change your life and view of all rugs before. It is more than soft, it is almost impossible to stop rubbing this rug haha. This is now in my girls room and is their favorite spot to hang out.

It is so soft under your feet and is loved by all: pets, babies, and us! Looks amazing and feels even better! After I placed it my my bedroom, we immediately went online to look for more colors and sizes! Love it!

This rug looks great on my white oak floor near navy island. It is super soft. Perhaps dangerously soft. My kids use it like an ice skating rink. Becareful not to fall and break neck and/or hip. Super slippery! Would not recommend around older unsteady folks.

This beautiful carpet is soft...very, very soft. So soft, in fact, that it creates a slippery hazard. I don't mean the whole carpet slipping, I mean your feet slipping when you walk on it, so for that, I had to return it and would not recommend it.
