Excellent chalk paint
I used this paint on several small items and found it to be a very smooth paint. I would recommend this product also for many applications like distressing & stenciling on your projects. MJ

Parisian Grey matte acrylic chalk finish paint
Found a small chalk paint project to try out the paint on. Used an old mirror and gave it new life with some FolkArt ultra matte acrylic chalk finish paint. As it is in the picture it looks good with a matte finish. I happen to like a little sheen on the finish so I will put a wax finish on the mirror to achieve the look I like. If your going for strictly matte finish then you will get just that with this paint. The paint spreads pretty evenly and coverage is great. It adheres pretty good too. It's easy to distress the look of your project as well. It's waterbased, non toxic. It's nice that no sanding or priming is necessary to use this paint.

Beautiful Teal Paint to Vamp Up Your Current Belongings!
This paint is so pretty and so vibrant! I used it to bring my old metal baskets back to life! I found the manufacturer of the paints uploaded YouTube videos to help understand how the paints and waxes work. I love the fact that, even on metal, I had to do zero prep work. I did notice the paint takes longer to dry on metal than wood, though. I applied the Grotto on the baskets and then used the Antique Wax to finish it. They look awesome!

So much fun to bring vitality back to your current belongings!
Why toss it if you can upgrade it?! I love to recycle things by revamping them and bringing them back to life. This line of paint has helped me do just that! I used this Rich Black color to bring new life to my old side tables in my living room. The tables were wood on top (with a varnish finish) and had metal legs. With absolutely NO prep I painted over them first with the Parisian Gray, then the Rich Black and finished with the clear wax. After a nice buff to add sheen to the wax they look fantastic. Check out YouTube to find videos the manufacturer put out. They helped me!

Nice, light shade of grey. Great paint!
I have had so much fun with these paints! I used this one as the first coat on my side tables for my living room. After wards I put on the Rich Black color and then followed those up with the clear wax. They look great and really turn up the decor factor in my front room! I have pretty much bought every color they offer now! I have done several other projects and have been very pleased.

These paints are so much fun and so easy to use!
This color is so beautiful! Its a rich pink-coral color. As with all of these chalk paints it dries a very, very matte texture and ends up being a slight bit darker than in the bottle. These paints do not have to be applied to a prepped surface. I have been able to use them over wood, over metal, and over wood with a varnish without having to sand or prep, with absolutely NO problems! I would just warn you to let them dry really well before applying any new coats. The brand recommends using their brushes, but they're expensive. I found a chip brush works fine, just make sure to snag any bristles that fall off as they always do with chip brushes! Also, look up videos on YouTube as there is a whole series from the manufacturer on the ways to use this paint.

Thumbs Up
Using this paint for ceiling medallions (also from homedepot.com) and an old picture frame for wall décor. Paint is very smooth to work with. Applies evenly. One coat for flat/matte medallion surface, two for glossier picture frame surface. Dries fast. Clean up is a breeze. Included pic of only this color as the base because I'll be using other colors to accentuate dimensions on the medallion and distress the frame. Its a very antique looking neutral gray, not green-ish, blue-ish or purple-ish. I like that about the color because I never realized how hard it was to match greys until I bought a grey couch. Paint scuffs nicely with a sanding pad for distressing but not from basic handling. Thumbs up.

Decorative finish
I applied this paint over a bare wood entry table without any sanding or prepping. It was easy to apply. I used a brush so there were some brush marks that showed when it was dry. I only applied one coat because the color was very vibrant. I still had almost 1/4 of the bottle left after painting 4 pieces. It dried within 2 hours. It is a matte finish so there is not any shine. I used the clear wax when it was dry. The wax has to be reapplied every so many months and does not seal. I read that this is a problem on high traffic pieces so I decided to stain the top piece of wood instead of painting it with the chalk paint.

Applied easily and looks great
I bought two unpainted nightstands and used this chaulk paint and the same companies wax. I love the ease of chalk paint and this paint went on great. The paint was dry to the touch within three hours. After two coats it covered most knots in the wood and the wax added a nice finish. No sanding required!

I used this as a primer to cover two wooden chairs that were once painted a glossy dark blue some time ago. Other then washing the chairs with soapy water and completely drying, this was a very simple hassle free prep. Gave it two coats for good coverage and then painted over that with left over Modern Masters Front Door Happy Yellow Paint that I had used for my front door. Very pleased with the results.

Pretty good. Applied one coat over a lightly sanded veneer desk. One coat took care of most of it, but went over some places a second time. Folk Art clear wax was clumpy and thick so I instead used Polyurethane for a top coat. It added more depth to the color (made it darker).

      Beautiful Soft Grey Matte Finish
This Parisian Grey chalk paint is a beautiful light grey color. The paint was easy to apply. I used a lot of paint on the brush to eliminate a lot of back & forth strokes. I painted over a redwood cabinet and one coat covered most of the wood color. If you want an antique look, the wood can be left as is. The color might be different if you painted over a lighter color, but this seemed to cover rather well. If you clean up while the paint is wet, all you need is water and soap.

      Excellent Product
I use this paint on my model railroad. I paint the ground surface with it and it gives a slight "dirt" look to the paint, which is very realistic. I don't sand it...I just use it as it comes out of the jar. A couple coats applied rather thick is just the look I wanted. I'll alternate between this color and the java, swirling the products together. I paint it on plywood, but it would work on any surface. Cleanup is very easy. This is a quality product, well worth trying. It covers well.

      Good paint
I've used this chalk paint on multiple projects in a variety of colors and I love it. You do need at least 2-3 coats but the outcome is beautiful. Will continue to use! I have to say this is a good chalk paint for the price. My only complaint is the smell. It is not horrible, but it does have an associated smell when painting. Once dry, the smell goes away. Besides this, I would highly recommend this paint.

      Very Matte Very Black
If you want a true matte finish, this is the paint for you as well as producing a deep rich black. It brushes on smoothly and you need to wait until each coat dries before putting on another layer of paint. After it dries well, you can sand this paint to get a distressed, vintage, worn look. It's great for wood furniture and how I used it. I would recommend to everyone.

      Great Chalk paint!
This folkart Home Decor Chalk creates an ultra matte chalk finish on your project. The chalk works on many surfaces such as wood, metal, ceramic, plaster, terracotta, canvas and much more. The product is easy to layer and distress. It is great for furniture and there is no stripping or priming required. The sheepskin color is an off white color that goes well with a lot of other colors!

      Fantastic!
This paint covers a multitude of flaws. Used it on an old funky piece of furniture and it absolutely transformed it. The paint went on smoothly without any need to sand or prime or prep. No brush marks or roller marks left behind at all. It literally covered everything on it's own. Didn't need a second coat or any touch ups. This paint left behind a gorgeous matte finish.

      I love this paint!
This paint is so rich and beautiful once dried. A very nice darker gray. I have found these paints to be excellent to work with when doing projects. I have done a pair of side tables and they are beautiful, and the paint has remained durable. I went on YouTube and found the manufacturer has a series of several videos to help you understand the steps in the process to use this paint. Very informative! These paints make for some beautifully done projects!

Great paint for crafts and even refinishing furniture!
I have several of these paints now, and I just love using them. This color is really cool. It's a very deep yellow and almost has a hint of green to it, giving it an overall mellow lime feel. I put it on as a base coat, put a dark gray over the top and then rubbed out certain parts to have this yellow color come back through the gray. It ended up really awesome - a pop of color without being too much. Easy to use paints! If you have trouble using them look up the name and brand on YouTube and you will find several videos the manufacturer put out to help.

      Beautiful Chalky White paint
I have been very impressed with these paints. I have done several home projects with these paints. They are very thick and easy to apply and dry to a nice chalky finish. I found that if you search the name and brand on YouTube there are some very easy to follow demos the company has put out. They work well on all the surfaces I have tried: metal, wood, and wood with varnish, with no need to prep the surface. Once the project is finished they look very high end.

Paint achieved proper look for night stand.
I had an old nightstand that was already similar in color to this paint, but it needed some touching up. It sits in one of our guest bedrooms, and needed a little restoration. I applied this paint to the outside of this old nightstand, and was very pleased with the rustic finish I was able to accomplish with this paint. The rest of the room is white, and this color complemented the other furniture in the room of the same color.

      Very Thick
So far, I've only used this on a very small project. It was very thick (way thicker than other chalk paints I've used) and on this project, left brush marks. I only used one coat and did not "finish" it with wax or anything else. I will update this review when I use it on a larger project. It did cover the raw wood nicely with one coat. It will be a couple of months before my larger projects are ready for paint.
