I wish I would have used two boxes per gallon. The texturing looks sparce and did not cover up the imperfections as hoped. My walls do not look like the picture on the box.

Homax paint texture worked great on my ceilings which had cracks and uneven placed on them. I would recommend this product to anyone who had the same problem as we did. Thank you.

the irony here is that i complained about the popcorn ceiling patch product and ended up using this product to patch where the popcorn had come off the ceiling after i cleaned some mildew off of the shower ceiling. use a mask - lots of flying powder here. Use a lot of additive to make it more like popcorn. interesting product. I might try it next on my cement patio.

We had a small area where texture had pulled away from the ceiling. I followed directions and this worked beautifully!

The Homax stone paint additive really looks like a stone finish. Most likely the surface will need to be primed to get the best results. It takes a little practice to apply it evenly with a roller. and comes with clear instructions. It is easy to use in one step because it is added directly into the paint. The directions say to use a respirator because it can cause respiratory, eye and skin irritation. You have to be careful not to breathe it in because it contains silica and quartz, and I mixed it outdoors. It is a fine powder and you can add more to make a heavier coat. I covered an area of drywall which was damaged after removing wallpaper, and it creates an interesting effect with a thin coat.

I would have rated this product with five stars if it couldn't have been improved. Though easy to work with the product settled at the top. So when cutting in with the paint brush, the bigger stones would attach to the paint brush. But continual mixing did the trick. Using the roller was a breeze. The pressure on the roller crushed up the larger stones making it a more even texture. I was afraid working with the stones would be messy, but it was not. I also used a good quality paint and that helped. Very happy with results.

The product is easy enough to use. I found it difficult to match the texture I already had. So I would recommend this product for new project not an existing one.
