In reading the description, I couldn't visualize the difference between the 50w, and the 100w motion detected setting. I thought the 50 w might be too much for the constant on during the night. Because of the reflector design, the 50w is not "in your face" but deflected out and down and looks subdued. A classy look. I put this one up on the back porch, as I didn't know if I would like it at the front door. But it looks and works great, and I will buy another one now for the front. It's been installed for about a month now with no issues.

I was grateful to find this product so quickly at HD. The online purchasing works great.

The only problem with his fixture was the metal ring supplied to mount the light did no align exactly with the holes in the box in the wall. When tightening the screws, the ring cracked. I was able to use a washer to keep the ring flat against the box.

Attractive and bright - wish it worked for me. Does not turn on except when I open my door - even when I approach across the lawn. Sensor probably not directed low enough. Will return.

This light look great, but it's JUNK it will turn on but never turn off reset it a few times and can never get it to turn off.

This lamp looks good, is easy to install. Bought this lamp to replace an older screwed up low pressure sodium that is very expensive when it stays on all of the time.

Very pleased with this product. Installation instructions were easy to follow and with slight modifications was able to install at the same location of the previous light. Works as described.

The product looks like a box, it's only fair. It's pretty bright. However, if you plan to use this on top of your stairs, the sensor does not work well at all. You have to be right next to it. The range is horrible. I will be uninstalling this and put this somewhere in my garage instead of my backdoor where i originally purchased this for.

After having read all the high reviews, I purchased this light but for the cost, it's not all that it's cracked up to be. I liked the 180* range and that works pretty well but at 100 watts, it's not bright enough to adequately illuminate the area well as intended. Also, I wish it had an adjustable range feature so passing cars for example, wouldn't trigger the light to come on. I'm giving it a 2 star because I think it's a "fair" fixture but expected more than I got for the price.

I have these installed on three sides of my detached garage. I like the "Dusk to Dawn" feature.

The product arrived on time and was easy to install. I had a bit of a problem getting it to function in the "normal" mode but eventually got it going and it works fine.

This product has great features. Dusk to dawn light built in, then at night lights up brighter due to movement of object. Easy to install, sleek look and does everything I was promised. Loved the free shipping to my door also and arrived in a few days. Would recommend to anyone

This light was very easy to install on my son's house. His electrical box was rectangular so we did not need to use the adapter ring. The light bolted right up to the box.

These are beefy and bright! I love how they stay on at 50 watts unless there is motion and they go full power (100watts.) I am buying more.

The light was a little bit of a challenge to install as the instructions for the adaptor did not jive with my electrical box, but once installed I love this light. The dusk to dawn feature provides a perfect amount of low light until the motion detector is activated. Then it provides a bright security light that can stay on 1, 5, or 20 minutes. I was skeptical about purchasing this online, sight-unseen but am extremely happy with this light.

I had a hard time installing the fixture, this was my first time ever installing a fixture. The old flood light was pulling away from the siding and had to replace it. After removing the old flood light fixture I discovered that the electrical wires were not in a junction box. I had to cut a hole in the outside of the house that has vinyl siding. Because I am not an electrician, I found it strange that the backside of the 180 degree halogen motion sensing security light-bronze was square shape but the bracket was round. I had to bore a round hole through the outside wall of my house and place a round electrical junction box through it. And trying to make the new fixture flush with a round junction box and the edges from the siding was very difficult. I had to trim the siding with special shears so that the fixture could mount flush. Because I did not want to cut too much of the siding, I had to use longer screws than what came with fixture. I caulked around the fixture to seal any gaps that were there. The worker as Home Depot said that people do not cut holes in the outside wall any longer; but I could not afford to pay and electrician to place some type of extender mount. I believe that if the bracket was square like the square backside of the fixture, the installation would have been easier. BUT I love the fixture!!!!

The high-low light feature is compelling as is the dusk-to-dawn automatic setting. This motion activated security fixture provides just the right level of illumination in areas that are otherwise secluded, like courtyards and patios. Check this product out as a great solution at a very affordable price. My first one wore out and this is my second one.

I like that this light has 2 night settings that goes to full power when it senses motion. This is my third light I have bought.

Second time this fixture was purchased. First fixture lasted a long time. Motion detector began to fail after a long period of service. Highly recommend this light for its motion, dusk to dawn, inside fixture light setting and security acrylic cover. Shipping was prompt.

I purchased this unit and installed it in a covered patio (doesn't get wet). Easy install and motion detector/time-on etc work as stated. Only been in sevice a couple of weeks so can't speak to it's long term reliability. My wife and I are happy with this light & would buy another if needed.

First one lasted about seven years. I replaced it with a cheaper and prettier one that I hated almost from the first day because it didn't work. Went back to this one. The neighbors have asked me where I got it. Might get another one for the back yard.

This is a great fixture that has served us well for at least 5 years. I had to look up a replacement bulb and decided to post a review. Great light, works great for the side door!

After about 3 years the motion sensor stopped working. I could not find an OEM direct replacement sensor. A year later the plastic lense over the motion sensor completely fell apart. I have cut the wires off the motion sensor and wired it direct so it works like a regular on/off light. I used a piece of a gallon water jug to make an opaque lense cover. Cosmetically it looks great but no motion sensing ability any longer. Great unit but its usefull life is too short.

The product performs as advertised regarding area coverage and motion sensing distance, Product quality is well above the average import. Installation was made much more difficult than necessary due to poor design execution and incompatible hardware. An adapter ring is provided to mount the lamp - it fits between the lamp and a standard electrical switch box. Biggest problem is that the ring is dimensionally inaccurate and does not exactly match the holes in a standard switch box. I had to drill and tap an extra hole (#8 size) on the swich box to match up to the adapter ring screw slots. Second problem is the provided screws are much too long for attaching the lamp to the adapter ring. A bit annoying. Finally, there is a foam rubber pad on the back of the lamp which appears to be a weather seal against the adapter ring. As such, it would obviate caulking the lamp side of the adapeter ring. Unfortunately, this foam pad is somewhat smaller than the adapter ring which therefore requires caulking anyway. These problems are not sufficient grounds for rejecting this product - just a warning that some "improvising" might be needed to install it..

Works as advertised. Would like to be able to find a switch that narrows the distance that activates the bright light, other than that.......great light!
