This was easy to install and very sturdy. My wife thought I knew what I was doing! Job Well Done!
I have bought fans at double this price which were frustrating to install and still had a little wobble. This one was less, easy to install, no wobble and I felt that it was sturdy (well built). Told my wife to pick up two more for the house now that she thinks I'm a pro.

Wrong Fan
Bought this as a replacement fan for my home office, and was supposedly the same model as the one in my guest bedroom, however, upon unpacking, I found that the fan body was not the same as the one in the box/online photos. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed that I have to waste an afternoon taking it down, boxing it up and returning it. I can't identify which fan I have, but it's standard Hampton Bay quality, was inexpensive, and was a typical fan install, so I can't complain about the quality of what was purchased. Should have realized it was wrong before getting it completely installed, oh well.

Best fan for your money
We purchased this fan three years ago to replace the super cheap one that was in our living room when we moved in. It was a little difficult to install, but probably because I had never installed a ceiling fan before. (*first-time home owner problems*)
The finish on the fan is beautiful and it warms up any room with its rich tone and unobtrusive clearance height. It is also a very sturdy and quiet fan (which is very nice when the baby is sleeping).
My wife and I loved the look and the finish so much that when the cheap-o fan in the master bedroom went out we purchased this same fan again (no question). We are slowly working through all the fans in our house and replacing them as needed (we're on a budget people).
The only negative thing about this fan isn't even about the fan, but the florescent bulbs included in the box. They turn everything a horrid shade of stale yellow that makes everything look absurdly fake. I simply replace them with 60watt bulbs and installed a dimmer switch for the lights.

Owned for Over 3 Years
I purchased two of these fans in October of 2009 (3.5 years ago as of this review) and installed one of them in my master bedroom. We run the fan overnight pretty much all summer and it works great. It hasn't developed any squeaking noises or a wobble. It lights up my bedroom well and looks great hanging from the ceiling.

Very poor quality electrical components
Purchased three of these, one for each bedroom. Installation was as expected; not too difficult, not too easy. Within 3 months of installation, ALL three experienced light switch problems! I was forced to bypass the switch on two of them in order to use the light. The downside of this is I have to loosen or remove the light bulbs for fan use during the day.

I have not installed this particular fan yet, but have 4 other identical model fans that run well. With ceiling fans I am able to keep the A/C thermostat at 82 while still feeling comfortable..

Hampton Bay makes the best in my opinion. Ease of installation is great. They’re dependable and nice looking.
This one had a wobble. I’ve never had that problem before. HD sent me a new blade arm very quickly and Bada Bing it works perfectly. Helped us through a typically Hot July here in the Southern Sierra Foothills.

Fan included easy to follow installation instructions. The image of product matched the actual fan and I was happy with the end result. This fan replaced another that I had for approximately 25 years and my hope is it will do the same.
