Good quality though haven’t quite figured out the tilting mechanism.

I like the patio umbrellas. We've had the umbrellas for about a month. I love hiw big they are and have 1 negative to say about it. When you crank the umbrella to put up or down it can be kind of awkward because at some point you have lean as far back as you can while still cranking so you don't get hit in the face with the umbrella.

Don't use in any windy locations. The tilt mechanism buckled on our 3rd use and was extremely difficult to close back up.

Poor quality. Wind knocked it down with the small base that was “recommended” by Home Depot and it broke one side of it. Waste of money.

Seems to be very well-made. No problems with raising or lowering the umbrella, Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we can't make it tilt; however, we don't need the tilt capability, so we're very satisfied with the umbrella.

I like this umbrella so much that I ordered a second one. The umbrella has a really nice color and it’s large. No complaints.

So far, umbrella is working well. Not sure how rain-proof it is, but it's very helpful for providing shade over our south-facing patio and outdoor table.

The crank does not work properly

Good, not great and an awkward crank where you have to manually pull the umbrella into the closed position. I’d recommend spending a bit more money for a nicer unit.

Easy to install; attractive new addition to our home. I would suggest a heavier base...40lbs or more to ensure it stays in place.

Mine doesn’t tilt at all. There’s no button. Am I missing something? I’ve had other umbrellas that tilt and this one just doesn’t have it

I really love this umbrella. We set it up this past Saturday, weather was sunny and warm. Felt good sitting in the shade of the umbrella. Easy to crank and tilt.

I love the umbrella ! It was part of a 2 part order and I’m very unhappy w the seat cushions that was the other part of the order .

When I picked up the umbrella, it was nothing like I had thought or per the picture or description. For those interested in this color, it is like a pair of jeans - In that material.

We purchased a Hampton Bay dining set in grey and purchased 2 of these HB umbrellas for our new table & other patio seating. The quality of the fabric and the lift mechanism is very nice and they LOOK good. However, they are not waterproof in the slightest. We may as well have had nothing covering it. Being in Seattle, we purchased the umbrellas specifically to keep the patio cushions from constantly being soaked, so that, even between rain breaks, we can enjoy our patio. I blew another $30 on 3 cans of Scotchguard's "Heavy Duty Rain" spray, to try and fix the problem,..but it didn't. So we returned them and purchased the Costway Solar LED umbrella. The difference in price was less than $3.00 & after every rain shower, I now have a perfect dry spot under the new umbrellas. If you're just looking to provide shade, go ahead; but if you need rain coverage at all, skip it and go with the Costway.

Very good quality, easy set up. the size was perfect for our needs, providing good amount of shade. This is my second Hampton Bay umbrella purchase and can see myself buying a third to use around my pool. The Home Depot offered a good selection of color choices, as well as the best price that I was able to find.

Love the color and the new tilt design. Very good size canopy. I bought 2 for my pool and plan to buy another for fire pit sitting area.
