We bought this flooring for our new home. We have lived/walked on it for a year and a half and pieces continue to buckle up. The floor has not received a lot of traffic, just me and my wife and 2 dogs. I installed all flooring in our home and some of it was other engineered hardwood of a different brand. All our other flooring is still perfect except this one. This is a poor product. The attached picture is just one bad spot of about 7 on a floor that is roughly 500 sq ft.

We loved the look of the floor when we purchased it and had it professionally installed. It's been 10 months since the installation and we started to notice that the seams were separating in several locations, not just in high traffic areas but in closets too. We found several corners that were rolling upwards as though the top part of the board might split in half. In my opinion, the floors are made from cheap material and craftsmanship.

This floor was easy to insall and came out very nice with the three different paints in my home.

We got installed about a month now in our master bedroom. The color and the quality are great! A little too smooth but works great for us.

Love love love it! It took me a year to pick out a floor that was durable and good looking. The matte finish and wider boards drew me to Home Legend Acacia, but more importantly it’s expected durability for price. I took home 3 small rack samples and soaked one in a glass of water over night. No swelling or warping. Soaked it a second night and again no swelling or warping. I then used hot water and it was still perfectly fine. I let it dry which took less time than I expected and the only noticeable difference was the paper tag on the back had disintegrated. Then I beat up a second sample with a fork, sharp knife and hammer. I expected divots with the hammer and I got them, but it took a really good whack on an angle. several of the less severe whacks had no divot. I expect with a drop of a heavy object, it should fair pretty well. I also expected scratches with a knife and fork and I got them with the knife, but the fork didn’t break through the acacia top. It scuffed it up with ample pressure. I had to really dig with the steak knife. Our pet toenails are not going to scratch this. Once I got a good scratch, I then went over it with a minwax stain stick and it covered the mar but was shinny (not the floors fault). Home Legends does have a patch kit which I’m sure will be much better. Even so, with the minwax pen, it covered the knife gouge to an almost unnoticeable mark. Everyone should test any floor sample with vigor. We then purchased one box and laid it out over the carpet, let it there for a couple days to see it in all the lighting conditions and liked it enough to schedule an install. This floor is gorgeous. Not slippery, quiet walking, and fantastic personality of colors. I waited a long time for this and I’m am not disappointed. The Home Depot installers did an awesome job, they love the click lock of this brand, and not one piece broken or was damaged, so much so, we have boxes to return. Gorgeous floor, excellent product, fantastic price!

I used this engineered hardwood flooring to update a fireplace surround. The results gave an impressive update to the room.

Just finished the installation myself between HEAVY work schedule. Very happy with it. We shall see how it holds up. We LOVE IT!!

My first floor has handscraped acacia installed, but I couldn't really justify the price on my second floor. Great substitute. Great smooth but not slippery finish. Almost every piece of wood was usable, and very little waste was generated.

I'm a carpenter. I ordered this for a customer to match their new acacia butcher block counter tops during a remodel. I ordered it to keep their costs down. I had worked with similar Home Legend flooring previously and had good results. This flooring was good, had only a few errant boards, had a good mixture of long and short planks, was straight and easy to install, and looks very nice. In hindsight, I would have preferred a little sheen to the finish, but the matte works well and was half the cost. I installed it in the kitchen and edged it with silicon caulk to keep water from getting underneath. I also put it in the eat in area. About 200 sq ft. There was little waste. This is not really life time flooring. The wear layer is very thin and probably can't be refinished. The factory finish is durable though, and with reasonable care it should last a good while. Eventually it will have to be replaced, but it is easy to pull up and redo. As long as you are aware of that, it is good flooring. I give it 4 stars because of the thin wear layer. Otherwise, good flooring at a great price.

The Flooring is beautiful and comes in various sizes. The matte finish is just what we were looking for. Super easy to install. HOWEVER, this flooring scratches very easily! We’ve only have the flooring installed for a week and the flooring is scratched in numerous places. If you have kids I would recommend a different flooring. Even dragging a toy or chair/stool (we bought pads for them now) it will scratch. Or if you have a bigger dog. I am happy with the look of the flooring just wish it didn’t scratch so easily.

Of all the click lock floors, this was by far the easiest going down. Looks and feels great - we'll worth the price at $2/ sqft!

This is good flooring for the cost. Its very easy to install and looks great. It is not the same quality as $6/$7 per sq ft flooring. Thats why it costs less, but it is good value for the money. It is matte finish and smooth, not scraped, which I really like better. It also doesnt show the dirt like our dark espresso floors did. We did two bedrooms and a hallway. We want to do more rooms in the future.

We had bought out house seven years ago, and HATED the carpeting from day one. We did a ton of research, and purchased one case of different varieties of flooring to see what will work best in our home. After returning all of them we came across this flooring and as you can tell we love it! We are absolutely overjoyed with our results.

I really love how this wood looks! The boards all have unique grain patterns. I was worried it may look busy but it is a very nice accent with neutral walls. It took about 4 days for a novice to lay floors for an entire house. The boards lock in very easily. It is important that you have a good saw for cutting end pieces and sides (my walls were not straight.) I have had this floor for about 2 months and it has survived construction without scratching. I wouldn't recommend wood for anyone who has children/pets if they are worried about it staying nice for a long time. One con is that it looks dirty quickly with dust. You need to clean on a regular basis.

Great product for the price, floor looks awesome. Self-installation is a moderately easy project for the handy amateur. One person could install it by themselves, but having two people (one down on the floor to install, one to choose pieces and fetch and carry) makes the job easier. It took us a while to get the hang of putting the first couple of rows together and making sure they were straight in the room, but everything clicked together very easily after that. At the end of one day, we had a gorgeous new floor in our 17 X14 master bedroom. Product seems very sturdy for the budget price, but will probably be prone to scratches just like other hardwoods (use felt pads under furniture feet, etc). Color and pattern is beautiful, the floor looks like we spent a lot more money on it than we actually did, and we had no problems mixing and matching pieces from different boxes while maintaining the same general appearance across the room. We will have to see how the wood holds up over time, but right now this product gets 5 stars from me, and I can't wait to install it elsewhere in my house. One caveat/con: the only "accessory" piece available for this brand is stair nose molding, and it had to be special ordered from Home Depot. We were unable to find matching transition strips, t-molding, etc., and had to stain our own pieces to match. The "Honey" color from Minwax applied to a pine transition strip matched reasonably well.

Pretty good stuff at a budget price, makes a beautiful floor. Each box contained 3 planks at 47.25" and 6 each at 31.5", 23.625", and 15.75 ". The veneer layer on top is paper thin, the bottom layer of wood is about the thickness of posterboard, the balance is mdf. The coating over the veneer is pretty tough but scratches pretty easily with hard sharp materials - my old plastic knee pads had bits of grit embedded from some previous project and made a few scratches before I noticed. Pet nails might not bother it, but street shoes and sand might ruin the finish pretty quick. The full pallet of 25 boxes arrived with edges protected, the partial pallets had damage from being banded - negligence by untrained or uncaring employees - and a couple of boxes had some forklift damage, but there was very little that I was unable to use.

This is nicely constructed flooring but saddly the color is not near the sample color. It is a dull gray. We took it to our cottage only to be disappionted by color. If I had knowen at store would not have taken. Very disappointed in that!

We love it!!! Very good quality.

I previously had the half-inch by five pieces but they didn’t have enough so I had to buy the 3/8 x 5. The finish is nice but it is firm not as solid on your feet walking

It’s a beautiful floor! Looks really nice. If you don’t mind imperfections and different sizes of planks it’s a great type of flooring.

Beautiful flooring! It was more attractive in person than it looked when ordering online. It’s subtle enough to go with anything but stands out enough to be appreciated. Easy to install myself. I have it in a small kitchen/living area so we’ll see how it holds up over time. I’ll update this review if it is not holding up well.
